Mary Suzanne Hampson

Dr. Hampson’s knowledge, experience and competence were obvious in the course of her treatment of me. What gave me great confidence in her, though, was that she listened carefully to my description of what led me to her E.R. room, and asked thoughtful questions such that what I knew + what she drew out of me + her own expertise combined into excellent care. I’ve had some of NYC’s best doctors the past 30+ years and I felt like I was receiving an equal level of care from Dr. Hampson and her team.

I came into the ER at New Hanover Regional Medical Center 12/14/19. It was around 11:30 PM. From the moment I walked in I was very well cared for. From the security person, to the check in, to the amazing nurses and then Dr. Hampton. They were extremely thorough and found that I had Pneumonia. Even though the pharmacy was closed they started my antibiotic. It’s almost 48 hours later and I feel much better. I was misdiagnosed earlier that morning, at a location on base so I appreciate how efficient and thorough they were. Dr. Hampton came to give me info and to make sure I was ok a couple of times. The nurses did the same. They were all amazing. I would recommend NHRM ER to anyone in distress. I just want to say thank you for helping me. Sincerely, Lori Mckibben
