Dr. Matthew Ryan Wilson

Dr. Wilson performed an hemorrhoidectomy on me for inner and outer hemorrhoids, and for a removal of a skin tag. I was told that there would be an excruciating painful recovery. The doctor gave me a small dosage of pain medicine, which dosage was inadequate for my level of pain. I called on a weekend to see if I could get better pain medicine, I was denied. I messaged the doctor and told that the pain meds were not helping at all. I was denied any help. I kept messaging him with no response after the initial one. Also, after my wife looked at the outer part of the rectum, the skin tag was still there and a hemorrhoid was still hanging! I went to the ER because I couldn’t withstand the pain, it was so horrible. The ER M.D. tried to contact Dr. Wilson to no avail, no response. I will NEVER recommend Dr. Wilson to anyone ever.

Dr Wilson took time explaining everything in his office. He drew a pic of what he was going to do in surgery. A resection due to a large polyp and growth that couldn't be scraped off by my gastroenterologost during colonoscopy. But Dr W offered to again attempt to remove it by colonoscopy 1st before surgery. He tried and unable bc the growth was low lying and higher up. Hosp stay 3 days. I never needed the avail narcotics bc toradol was given iv every 6 hours. 1 wkpost op...doing great!

Dr. Wilson is one of the best Dr's I have seen, and in the past two years I have seen several. Dr. Wilson is down to earth and easy to talk to. His bedside manner is superb, he came to my hospital room every morning to keep me up to date, and sometimes just to check on me even a week before my surgery. I had issues with the hospital and another Dr. and Dr. Wilson took care of that for me as well. My after surgery follow up with him at his office was pleasant, all his staff was very friendly.

He maybe a competent surgeon however he lacks in caring for the person. A lot of doctors like surgery just not dealing with the post OP. I will be sure to share my experience with fellow friends and physician friends.
