Maurizio Bonacini

Dr. Bonacini is a very skilled doctor and researcher. He is super polite and caring for his patients. He took his time to explain and inform me. I was very pleased that he was the doctor for my procedure.

The doctor was very uncaring about my concerns and offered some weird advice like overdosing on Gas-X. Also, their office won't stop billing me even though I paid months ago.

I took my mother to this doctor for colonoscopy consultation. We never have seen him before . First impression he gave us is that talking on the phone with someone else while we were sitting in front of him for very first time . We were given alternative choice (CT colonoscopy ) due to my mother health condition . She was instructed to take Contrast a day before the procedure . At night , my mother woke me up and started throwing up and bowel movement a lot . I am aware that she supposed to have diarrhea due to laxatives. But she look so paled and weak. I called him in the middle of that night to find out what we should do as we were instructed from instruction document . First thing he said is he doesn't know . Asked him if she should stop the prep, he said he does not know . He kept saying he does not know since he does not do the procedure. Told us to call Radiogly department or go to ER. I wanted to avoid going to ER during COVID . So I called radiology department, they told us to call the doctor to see if she should go through with the procedure. Called him second time , he said he don't know , sounded upset and complained that I called him 3am in the morning. All we needed is to get his help or showed us that he care about the patient by asking the symptoms my mother had . Nope. He kept saying he don't know anything about the CT procedure . Why was it the alternative choice for my mother then if he did not know. I took my mom to ER and completed the procedure. Called him 2 days later for result , first thing he said was are you the one who spoke me to on phone at night, Accused me of using f word and Warned me to change my attitude if we still wanna see him again . I rather not see him for my mother . He is a doctor and know nothing to help the patient during emergencies. Worried and concerned about patient attitude . Oh well . I hope his family, mother , father , son , daughter , wife don't have to go through the experiences that my mom went through. I did not want to take this to next level yet. I also want to share our experiences with this doctor . Please find someone who will treat you like a patient , who knows about All kind of procedure and be able to help you if something happen to you at anytime . Short temper and dream crusher. If there is anyway this guy will get something positive from you that you have studied and then want his opinion he will always find the negative. He can’t think out of the box cause he’s too rigid and never wrong (at least that’s how he acts). Discussion with him always leaves me depressed. If you want a textbook kind of guy even though the book was written years ago Mr Italy is your man. Not to mention he works out of the seediest Office in Tijuana.......or is that 26th and Valencia? Dr. Bonacini is very knowledgeable and skilled. I came to him years ago with a stomach complaint, and he finally diagnosed a lymphoma which required immediate chemotherapy. He seems to be a sweet man and has a musical voice. I came back to see him again recently, driving from Humboldt county, with abdominal pain lasting 6 weeks; I was given an office appointment in 2 days, and he performed an endoscopy within another 2 days, then diagnosing erosive gastritis. He is an excellent doctor!

Dr. Bonacini was excellent and thorough in his treatment for my Hep C- I have been cured for 13 years. He is held in the highest regard by fellow physicians and researchers with Hep C concerns. He is extremely straightforward in his manner- which may put off some sensitive patients. In the end it is his expertise that is most valued.

Dr. Bonacini saved my life. He was with me every step of the way for five years before transplant. The day of my liver transplant this doctor checked in all day and came to see me after the surgery. Who does that! I have Dr. Bonacini as my life saver and you should be so lucky to have this doctor on your side.

He should be a businessman instead of a doctor. He is not clear about describing the situation and gives misleading diagnosis. Lacks bedside manner. I strongly suggest to avoid him at any cost.

2005 Diagnosed with Hepatitus C at 50 yrs of age, began seeing Dr. Bonacini who convinced me to try Interferon treatment. Loved his office staff, especially Pam Pascal. Dr. Bonacini was very straight forward which was what I needed to seek a solution for my drinking problem. Now 4 yrs. sober and Hep C is undetectable.
