Mr. Michael Jerome Berard

Dr. Berard is excellent! He is how physicians should be. He genuinely cares. And you feel that right away. He does all the little things for his patients... goes the extra mile. He listens. And he doesn't belittle you when he has to give tough love (which we all need sometimes). He's been my GP for over 12yrs now. I just think the world of him and his staff. CHEERS!

I think Dr Berard is thorough, and is a very nice Dr.! I've been seeing Dr. Berard for 15 some years, and went through alot of insurance companies with Medicare to make sure I stayed there. I dread the day he retires.....

Dr. Berard has been my physician for 35+ years. He has taken excellent care of not only myself but most of my family. My mother passed away in 2021 at 90 yrs old and she was a constant reminder to all that would listen of the kindness, trust and genuine care she felt from him. It is a feeling we have all agreed with. We moved from the Beltsville area 14yrs ago to outside of the Annapolis area. He is worthy of the 40 min one way trip to see him. Wherever he goes we go!! Dr Berard is the most caring, wonderful Dr. a person could ask for. He takes his time making sure he has covered everything. I have been seeing him for 17 years and will never want another doctor. If he retires, I won’t have a doctor because no one is better than him. And I am not a young person.

I have been a patient of Dr. Berard for over a decade. He was recommended to me by a colleague two jobs ago, I can’t ask for a better primary care physician. I hear he’s leaving Adventist, I need to find out where he’s going so that I can follow him to continue care.

Dr. Bernard is very caring and gives you plenty of time. He is an expert diagnostician and is great at follow through.

Dr. Berard actually listens to his patients. Recently saw the female partner. They are both stellar. They both care.

Great doctor. Sometimes the wait is longer than usual but it is truly worth some extra time. Don't know if he is taking new patients. But if so he is kind, knowledgeable, and considerate.

I have been going to Dr. Berard for about 34 years+. He is very compassionate, an excellent diagnostician, knowledgeable, gives quality time to the patient and always 'is right on the mark' with diagnosis and treatment. I don't understand why Healthgrades rates him as 4.4. He is definitely a 5.0. Dr. Berard is very conscientious and thorough. No doctor I'[ve ever visited, although good in their specialty, can compare with Dr. Berard's solid character and bed-side manner. He is terrific!

Dr. Berard is always a careful listener and offers insight borne from years of experience. I always feel better after having seen him. An appointment never feels "rushed". He reminds me of "old fashioned" doctors who used to make house calls in my younger years. He is the best.

I have been seeing Dr. Berard for over 25 years and he has been fantastic in every respect. Always has time for my questions. He explains issues in as much depth as I desire. I feel lucky to have had him as my primary care physician.

Over 7 years at every appointment, I complained about the unexplained weight gain in my abdomen, inconsistent periods, and uncomfortable pap smears. Was told that it was nothing but me being over 40 years of age. Ultimately, after having blood in my stool and deciding to go to a GI doctor, it was discovered that I had been carrying an ovarion tumor. They claimed no responsibility and never apologized to me. I had to have an emergency hysterectomy which ultimately resulted in ketoacidosis.

I was a patient here for almost 9 years. But for the past 2 years, when I've called asking to be seen after being improperly treated by urgent care, I've been told by the rude office staff that they couldn't see me for 4 days and to go back to urgent care. Had to go to the ER instead. Dr. Summers (the female physician) was very kind and competent in the few times I was actually allowed an appointment. The receptionists need a refresher course in basic courtesy. So long, Berard. I was a patient here for almost 9 years. Doctor Beard is a wonderful doctor that is very down to earth!!! I must say that he is caring and straight to the point!!! He does his absolute best to get you feeling better!!! He's my favorite doctor and I have been there for years and don't see myself leaving the practice EVER!!!!

Great doctor. Both my wife and I have been with him over twenty (20) years.

This man saved my life. I would not be here if it was not for him. I am thankful for my cardiologist, for my heart surgeon but to be truthful all they did was keep me alive but Dr. Berard made me want to live. He is a caring doctor that walked me through the most difficult time in my life. There is no other doctor like him...period.

Dr. Berard is a very caring, patient oriented and great listening doctor. He takes the time, you need to listen, advise and treat a patient with great care and respect. He is knowledgeable. My family and I have known Dr. Berard for over 25 years. He is a very wonderful internist.

I found Dr. Berard and his team via Angie's List. I've been seen both by Dr. Berard and a couple of the Nurse Practitioners over the last few years. They are personable and knowledgeable professionals, and the staff is also helpful and kind. Highly Recommended!
