Dr. Kortbus is really great. Very friendly, on time. I highly recommend him.

Doctor was abrupt and dismissive In the middle of asking him a question he said bye thanks for coming and left the room

Staff was helpful. Dr. Kortbus was very knowledgeable and responsive to my questions. He put me at ease and gave me excellent care.

Dr. Kortbus unnecessarily touched me. He put his hand on my bare knee/thigh and also stroked my arm twice. It made me feel very uncomfortable.

So sad to see a specialist so dismissive of his patients who come for help. Happily he gives referrals to kinder, more knowledgable providers who were actually interested in finding and treating the initial issue. Otherwise a totally unpleasant experience.

The doctor might be good at his trade but his bedside manner is terrible. When asking him about a condition I have his response was “ no comment “. When I asked again as that’s the reason I went to see him his response again “ I have no comment “. Never in my life have I ever seen a doctor who responded w such a lack of caring and arrogance. It’s a shame as the rest of his staff are quite professional.

Dr. Kortbus is not only knowledgeable but is also caring. This is a man who really loves what he does. I am so happy I found him and you will be too. Not too mention the office staff is nice and the wait times are short.

I was very disappointed in the care and concern in my visit. A dismissive attitude toward my description of symptoms, then told he cant say or do anything without a CT scan. There was no examination of my sinuses. (Which the complaint was for sinus pressure pain) Upon going to a second ENT-who actually examined my sinuses, she found an infection pretty confidently and prescribed antibiotic. No CT scan needed. The careless behavior was not an attribute I look for in a doctor.

I saw Dr Kortbus yesterday after he was highly recommended by my partner. He is everything you could possible want from a Dr. He is thorough and kind. He has a lovely sense of humor and made me feel instantly at ease. He takes his time explaining his findings. I highly recommend him for any ENT issues you may be experiencing.

I wrote a review but it's not here. I was pleased with his background and most of the reviews were good so I made an appt. A P.A. came in, asked a lot of questions, was very nice...then I asked when the doctor was coming in...she said he was off.....she is a good PA, but she's not. a doctor...she never looked for polyps for sinus issues/I have two nosebleeds a day and she gave me an Rx for an off label nose med to use for 3 days...it was $18 and did nothing...she did a scope and said I have acid reflux.....I made a second appt and asked to see the doctor.....it was a month wait...so I called one day and asked to be on a waiting list for the doctor and she said I never had an appt with the doctor - only the PA....I guess he don't see old people/medicare people/ I canceled.

Dr Kortbus was extremely nice. He listened to me and was very understanding. He's a compassionate Doctor and I highly recommend him. The staff were nice as well. Don't hesitate to make an appointment.

Dr Kortbus Explains everything in great detail. Never rushes you. Answers all of my questions. I trust and value his opinion. He has done one surgery on my nose. Very successful, no pain afterwards. He also has done a procedure called Clarafix. Once again successful. Dr Kortbus is the best.

While collecting my info to do my taxes for 2018, I discovered I was double-billed by this office and that I had apparently paid twice for the same service. Although it occurred last year, I decided to call and see if there might be a correction possible. I have not received a return call - it has been 3 1/2 weeks and no response. I had already decided this doctor was not a good match for me, but this certainly seals the deal!

Dr. Kortbus and staff are very friendly and he takes time to explain. I didn’t feel rushed during the appointment and I was taken quickly. I would go to him again.

Outstanding! The staff are wonderful, the girls made the initial paperwork a breeze and were knowledgeable about my insurance. Dr. Kortbus put me at ease immediately! Knowledgeable, great sense of humor. This man "gets it"! Some Doctors you can't warm up to. No worries here. Thanks Doc!

I just met Dr. Kortbus and he is GREAT! Very friendly,relaxed and knowledgeable. He talks to you like a real person and explained medical terms and options in a clear way. He set out a course of action to deal with my chronic sinusitis and it feels so nice to have a plan in place. Dr. Kortbus laid out options well and let me choose based on my comfort if I wanted additional tests etc. I highly recommend him!

Highly knowledgible and skilled, thoughtful and deeply caring, Dr. Kortbus has surpassed all expectations for the most valuable practitioner. His expertise in sinus problems and his remedies are the best bar none (and we had been to a couple of other doctors first). Additionally, his staff is friendly, polite (!), professional, patient and engaged in the patient care, concerns, and comfort. What a remarkable and sterling medical practice all around!! Bravo!!

Dr. Michael Kortbus has been my ENT for a decade and I’ve had nothing less than excellent care from him and his assistants. I came to him when my allergies were unbearable. Following his advice and taking the appropriate medication, I overcame years of suffering. In fact, I’ve not had this kind of care since my very first primary care physician who I had from childhood to adulthood. As he’s always taken the time to discuss options for care and shown empathy, I feel healthier because of him.

I just visited Dr. Kortbus last week - both for myself and for my 5 year old daughter. He was amazing with my daughter...so gentle and so fun. He explained what he was doing in an animated interesting way that she loved. He then moved on to help me and also took great care of me providing a ton of great information and excellent, thorough care. He is clearly passionate about his work and helping his patients feel better. A+!

I brought my son to Dr. Kortbus as a result of chronic ear infections. My son was frightened of hospitals, doctors, and the idea of surgery. Dr. Kortbus was amazing. He called to check in several times both before and after the surgery. His ease with children is remarkable. His kindness is beyond measure and his medical expertise is unparalleled. I recommend this wonderful doctor without reservation.

Dr. Kortbus is your doctor if you're looking for a condescending know-it all who is afraid to admit when he doesn't know the answer to a question (which appears to be often). He's the king of the upsell - and you can expect to be advised into tonsil removal, ear tubes, etc. He's an expert at shaming children & parents. ALWAYS get a second opinion. Michael has never met a kid who he didn't recommend placement of ear tubes. Total hack.

Dr. Kortbus is one of the worst doctors I have ever met. Both my husband and I went to him and found him to be rude, berating, and uncaring. His entire staff of nasty women are equally offensive. After a terribly rushed initial visit, he will never again show his face or even return calls. Instead, he'll have his overly-protective, guerilla staff make all sorts of excuses for his unconcerned, unprofessional behavior. It's clear that the callous "Dr" Kortbus is only in this business for profit.

Dr. Kortbus is a very caring doctor. He always takes the time to make sure I understand what is going on and offers me multiple options for my treatment. He did my sinus surgery two years ago and improved my quality of life immensely. I drive an hour to his office in Red Hook and it is worth it to be able to know I am in good hands everytime I see him. His staff is also top notch and very considerate of their patients. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kortbus changed my life & health. I had been having sinus\allergy issues for close to a decade until they got unmanageable & turned into my getting badly sick. He made me feel at ease & his staff helped me though the surgical & recovery process without fear. He makes all of the procedures & medical mumbo jumbo less challenging. He"s genuine & very real. Remembers you by name & not another number. If you are able to see him you'll be glad you did!

I went to Dr Kortbus when I was loaded with nasal polyps that prevented me from breathing properly at bedtime. He was wonderful explaining the procedure he would perform . He was so thorough in the operation that many years later I'm still clear. He's very skilled and informative. I recommend him highly.

After an already long day with my mother in law who has stage 4 cancer and just recieved news of all treatment failure i have to bring my 2 small children to this office. Where i was berated bc my son with adhd put on a pair of gloves with out the doctors permission. the kids were quietly, spinning in chair. again berated for that i said im filling out papers kids are kids. He said well isnt the y she is here? To my dying inlaw. This was a test run to see if peds doc would refer pts to him. NO!

Very very nice man. Looked me in the eyes the entire time I was explaining my problem to him. He helped so so much and I couldn't thank him enough. Would 10/10 recommend him to ANYBODY!

Found him to be excellent. He listened, and looked me in the eye when he talked to me. (After dealing with surgeons, this was important!). He had good suggestions for NOT relaying on medications for my problem.
