Dr. Michael P Mcgonigal

This individual is not worthy of being called a medical professional let alone a physician. I do not recall ever meeting someone as condescending and rude in my entire life. Absolutely terrible experience. Will not even go back to the practice based on the inappropriate, non helpful behavior!

I had my first appointment with Dr. McGonigal today. Dr. McGonigal was thorough, Took his time, answered all my questions, and went above and beyond with my care. He was very personable and made me feel very comfortable in his presence. I can’t say enough good things about him! My biggest pet peeve with a doctor is when they don’t listen or rush you. He did neither and I would highly recommend him.

As a healthcare professional myself for 37 years, I have NEVER experienced anything like my visit today, with my elderly mother. A very disappointing appointment. Dr. McGonigal was very dismissive, did not take the time to listen or answer questions and was very condescending. He would not support a reason as to why or what he was basing his opinions on. He did not take the time to discuss her medications. He was walking out the door as I still was asking questions. I went into the appointment with higher expectations being told that he specialized in geriatrics. He certainly does not have the geriatric bedside manner. I'm hoping he was just having a bad day. I certainly wouldn't want any other patient or family member to be treated the way we were today. I would not recommend Dr. McGonigal.

Dr. McGonigal has been my PCP for almost 20 years. I trust him implicitly, he listens carefully and answers questions as well as the circumstances permit

Dr McGonigal was very thorough. He listened well and answered all my questions. He treated me well, took care of my immediate problems and referred me to a specialist if needed.

By far the worst doctor I have ever had. I cannot believe I even paid for this visit. After scolding me for lifestyle choices such as not working out often and smoking occasionally, he spent all of about 5 minutes on both my physical and my pressing medical concerns. I literally had to stop him from running out of the room so we could discuss my concerns further. Even then, I had to be the one to suggest the medication I am switching to. Do NOT waste your time with this man. Ridiculous.

Not helpful whatsoever. Very short with patients and unwilling to take the time to listen.
