He has been my primary care for many years and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else

Dr. Mertens has been my physician since he started practicing. My entire family goes to him. He's attentive and listens to you. I couldn't imagine seeing anyone else.

I love everyone at this office and have been a patient for almost 20 years. Dr Mertens is thorough and efficient. I am always seen on time. Dr Mertens is the best! My entire family goes to him. Dr Banks, Dr Demirjian, and Stacey Stoud are also outstanding. If Dr Mertens can’t get me in, I am happy to see anyone in the office.

Dr. Mertens has been my primary care doctor my entire life. He is an fantastic DR. and I would recommend him to everyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Mertens for over 15 years! I think he is amazing and would feel confident referring him to any of my family! I feel like I have received wonderful care. He takes time and listens. The staff and his nurse have always been great!

Dr.Mertens was my husbands Dr. While he was on vacation he left a quack to take care of his patients.. My husband had an appointment to go in the office, not knowing he was not there and was treated horrible.. The office manager was very rude and unprofessional.. The Dr. refused to come out of his office to see my husband because we were a little late. My husband was very sick and needed attention. I will always believe if he had gotten the attention he needed he would still be with me today.

Our family including myself and my 5 children age 16 to 26 have been patients of Dr Mertens since 2009. We are very pleased with his medical acumen and he is very pleasant to talk with. He helped in the diagnosis of my bladder cancer in its early stages. His thorough assessment of my lab results led to the extensive testing that led to the diagnosis. He is always very personable and a blessing to have as our family doctor.

Dr. Mertens is very good doctor. He listens. That is what makes him special. It isn't his agenda it's about you. Takes time with you. Is very thorough. Very kind and cares about you.

Disappointed

Only saw this quack couple times 2 to many l needed priprsp filled before next visit he said just call,l did. Many times no results ran out of medication no one seemed to care. Called nurse called office called office manager no results. So most inept outfit l ever experience beware of heritage medical if you want care finally saw real dr to get medication. vary disappointed I thought of them as good friends but they never have time for anyone and it like pulling teeth to get a hold of the front desk. the front desk is vary rude and don't know anything about customer service and if you call them you will be on hold for a good 10 mins so my family is looking for a new Dr.

This doctor had the nerve to let me go as a patient after I was misdiagnosed and almost treated for something I did not have and because I got a second opinion. Pathetic!!!!

Dropped us as patients after 10 years because we wanted an answer to questions about why procedures were being recommended and what they would cost. No interest in anything but money.

Excellent care and office staff

What I appreciate about Dr Mertens is that he takes time to listen to me. He has good bed side manner and doesn't just jump to put you on pills. And, his staff is professional and courteous.

He was our family doctor for more than 10 years. While he was initially OK, over the years he has become solely about the money and not his patients. When he prescribed tests for me he and his office refused to tell me why they were recommended or give me an estimate of the cost. When my wife recently tried to make an appointment for out 10 year old daughter his office told us she hadn't been there for too long and thus had to be treated as a new patient and she couldn't get an appointment.

The worse doctor I ever had. He doesn't spend a lot of time with you. He doesn't listen to you. I told him the flu shot have always made me sick. He insisted that I take it, because it wasn't a live virus. Three days later I was back in his office very sick. All he cares about is MONEY.

Dr Mertin's is very caring and takes his time and listens to you. He has saved my life before. He makes sure that I only have the test run that I need. His staff are still caring also. Thank you for caring.

Dr. Mertens is very nice and personable. I didn't feel rushed as I do with most doctors and he seemed to genuinely care to be in the room. It is sad that this is extraordinary, but it is. He was super helpful and seems knowledgeable. Staff was polite and didn't waste time doing their job or seem in a bad mood as is often the case (in my experience) in healthcare. Definitely recommend.
