22 year daughter had jaw pain for years. Messing confidently said that he knows the issue and can resolve it. He asked for a piece of plastic to be worn when sleeping. Long story short: shelled out $4500 over 18 months with no improvement. When questioned, he mentions "you need to continue the treatment". $100 per visit. Dumped him after that, knowing this is a forever scam. Of course, no refunds.
Dr. Messing got me out of pain after I tried three other dentists. He is a wonderful dentist - and an artist. Combine these two skills and I have experienced wonderful success. He has stopped (or at least slowed down) the deterioration I experienced from arthritis. I've been working with him for three years and he has consistently been professional; he listens; and addresses and corrects all issues.
Promises big. May or may not work for you. Definitely did for work for me, after one year. Of course after dismal results at end, he wants more variety of treatment, and more money. He is selling snake oil.
Dr. Messing specializes in treatment of TMJ. He's picks up where a regular dentist can't. I had researched for a long time to find a doctor that could help with jaw pain, headaches and jaw cracking. I highly recommend him if you've exhausted standard treatments. Be warned that his fees are high.
