Dr. Michael A Mont

Dr Mont is amazing but his office staff are lost in space and fail to communicate more that they get information that you need. Dr Mont and his scheduler and PA are not on the same page.

I went to a very top knee surgeon in Philadelphia. He told me there were only two surgeons in the country that would be able to fix my knee and one was Dr. Michael Mont. I can’t say enough wonderful words about him. His bedside manner can be a tiny abrupt at times, but 99% of the time he’s fabulous. I guess we can chalk that up to the fact that he is extremely busy. lectures all over the country, develops new techniques and publishes journals frequently. People come from worldwide, seriously, I’m not exaggerating, to get his help. He is willing to take on very complex cases. Yes, he gives out his cell number and he is ALWAYS just a phone call or text away! I had other surgeons tell me I’d probably have to have my leg amputated. Not Dr. Mont, he has reconstructed me knee and I’m doing great!

What a gifted surgeon and God-send! I owe my knee and leg to his time and talent. Highly recommend!!

Mont is a hack don't go to him . He ruined my left leg with his out of date Birmingham resurfacing. It completely fell apart and my femur broke. And I had to get a emergency operation. My femoral never was destroyed and my leg is now numb. I went through a year of completely Kaos. I had to leave my Hvac job . I repeat do not let him carve you up . Dr Mont is the worst .

Plain and simple ... he's trash ??. Messed up my femoral nerve with his out of date none tested but still approved hip resurfacing. Now my leg is numb and I had to give up my hvac job . I see why he left Baltimore and now he's in NY.. don't let him carve you up ...

Dr. Mont literally saved my life. I could not find a surgeon that understood my Avascualar Necrosis. Furthermore, I weighed 350 lbs. and he was willing to perform the surgery when all the other surgeons in Maryland had refused. His staff was excellent, friendly, and informative. I still need both knees replaced and Dr. Mont will replace those as well.

Dr mont put 2 hips in me 11 years ago and they have been God sent. He's one of the best if not the best surgeons in the country .. I flew from SC to him for both..

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Mont. Sure, he gave me his number, but who wants to contact a doctor who spouts negativity, throwing blame around to everyone but himself when things don't go as planned. I had my husband take off from work to join me for a post-op appointment because I knew I couldn't deal with his wrath on my own. He might be a good surgeon (Not sure, but possible) but he has a terrible personality, from the worst I've seen.

Dr. Mont did my total hip 18 years ago. I went back to him for hip revision surgery last week because of metallosis from the old hardware. He has the confidence of a hardened veteran who knows that he has mastered his craft. I think his main reward is from improving the quality of life for each of his patients. The outcomes for both surgeries exceeded my expectations. I was willing to travel long distances for these operations because I believe that the skill of the surgeon is very important. I believe that Dr. Mont is one of the finest orthopedic surgeons in the world.

Horrible and ruthless. He has left me in chronic pain for the rest of my life. Save yourselves! He ruined my entire life!

Went for my 6-week post-surgical check-up (which turned out to be a 15th week post-surgical check-up due to the Covid-19 pandemic). Lenox Hill Hosp where Dr Mont's office is was very clean. My temperature was checked, everyone was wearing a mask and gloves. Dr Mont was very pleased with the range of motion I had with my new knee. He took the time to explain everything to me and listened to my questions. My right knee has been killing me, so I was sent for an X-ray and then received a steriod shot in the right knee. Now the difference is amazing. I highly recommend Dr Mont and when the restrictions on elective surgery is gone, will be making an appointment to have my right knee operated on. He is wonderful, kind, and caring. Love him!

I had a total hip replacement on 1/2/20, and I am extremely happy with dr. Mont, the anesthesiologist, his staff and the hospital in general. The hip replacement was very successful, I had pain only the first two days after surgery. I was walking with a cane after two wks and I have not taken any medication for 6 wks. In the hospital all the nurses, were very professional and very sweet they always trying to help you and make you comfortable. and last the food was amazing!! I was able to order my own gourmet food.

I strongly recommend Dr. Mont. He did an excellent job on my hip replacement surgery. He truly cares and is extremely nice and easy to talk to. I would like to add that everyone who works for him is also truly caring and knowledgeable and easy to work with.

The experience of having the hip replaced was very efficient. Hospital took care of me very well. I was out of bed walking after the first day. Great food and great service. I would recommend Dr. Mont and his team to anyone that I know who needs a hip replacement, first person that recommend if you need a replacement. Also, Dr. Mont is a funny guy.

efficient visit that took me though x-ray to doctor's visit to follow up with p.a. and assured me that I was in good hands. Loved the fact that time was taken by all to tell me what was going on, make sure I understood what I was hearing and provided follow up strategies to deal with my hip discomfort. Best of all, no surgery! Lots of other ways to deal with my problem and the doctor extended to me his number to call him if there was a problem and told me he'd be back in touch with me to check up on me. I felt well taken care of. What could be better than that. And the p.a.s were extremely helpful and supportive. An excellent experience.

Had loads of pain in hip area, thinking it was a groin injury. Friends explained it was hip problem. I went in to doctor who took X-rays and confirmed I had serious bones spurs. When I researched options, I discovered hip resurfacing met my needs. When I researched top practitioners in the area, Dr. Mont was at the top of the list. I confirmed with a very good college friend who is himself a practicing surgeon. I went in to meet with Dr. Mont. His staff was excellent and quite professional. I had the surgery in January of 2019 and it was nirvana. When my right hip started to give way, I met with Dr. Mont and scheduled a surgery. It was a no-brainer to return.

At the time I came to the ER it was quite fast and I had a few issues with the ER staff, but once I had my X-ray done they moved very swift and I was to leave in 1 hour, so the whole ER was less than 3 hours and that was very nice. Once they knew Dr. Mont was my doctor the entire team was very responsive and took care of all me needs. Before I ever met Dr. Mont I got great reviews from everyone who I spoke to about him. Many of my friends have been treated by Dr. Mont and have been very pleased with their care provided by Dr. Mont. My friends and myself trust Dr. Mont and he is the only doctor I trust with treatment of my joints. In the recovery room they were very nice, nursing staff was so happy to me and so dedicated, it was late in the evening and they were still gave me all the help I needed. They were always there with a smile and so helpful with my care. Dr. Mont's office is very efficient, helpful, personable and knowledgeable and they answered all of my questions.

Their practice has been very helpful in explaining to me my diagnosis with the issues in my knee. They are also quick to breakdown information when I have questions into a simplified and realistic manner. Dr.Michael Mont is straightforward as well as his physician's assistants. My only complaint is that the receptionist tells you if they are running behind as a courtesy.

Dr. Mont is a caring,experienced surgeon. After a year os injections to my right hip I knew I needed replacement surgery. Dr. Mont performed the surgery. I used a walker for 6 days and then a cane for several. Weeks. Three months after surgery I toured Portugal without any problems. My wife,family and friends were amazed.I am 78 years old. Dr. Mont was very thorough with describing the pathology, possible contributing factors, and going over the treatment options and process. He and his staff were great at getting my procedure scheduled, and advocating for my behalf with my insurance company. He made himself available for questions all the time.

Dr. Mont has been absolutely wonderful and we are very thankful for him for performing my mom's hip surgery. He always takes his time and explains everything to us. I came to Dr. Monti to see Dr. Monti in regard to an issue I had with my hip. Dr. Monti was very straight forward in regards to what had to be done to get me up and feeling normal again. Michael Mont should not be practicing medicine. He ruined my legs. He attempted surgery that I did not agree to. I had to have the entire procedure repeated several years later, but it didn’t matter. My life has been filled with years of surgery and pain that will not stop. He never bothered to explain his mistakes and see me in my hospital room after, even after the nurses asked. Where is the MRB? His unethical ridiculous behavior must be stopped.

Dr. Mont is an exceptionally skilled surgeon. He gave me my life back. I went from merely existing to fully living my life. He stays up-to-date on the most advanced procedures. He is the most down-to-earth doctor I have ever met without the usual "God Complex" that most surgeons have! Very easy to talk to and he truly listens!
