Dr. Michael J. O'Brien

My wife had a labrum and biceps tendon tear. She had an excellent recovery. Dr. Obrien did all of the following: * Excellent bedside manner. * Was always prompt and not distracted. His focus was on the visit. * Thorough explanation of the injury, treatment options and when option was chosen, went through the complete plan of care and recovery times/expectations. * Took his time and did not rush the office visits. * My wife's recovery from surgery was excellent with minimal scarring, which continues to improve now 5 months post-surgery. She has full range of motion, and strength continues to improve back to pre-injury levels. * He has given us as much time and attention post-surgery as he did prior to surgery. My wife and I highly recommend Dr. O'Brien. I hope we don't have future need of his services, but he would be our first choice and I would send any family member to receive his care.

I had a severe shoulder injury following a grappling tournament, and needed surgery to fix extensive damage. Dr. O'Brien took his time, explained everything to me, was kind, empathetic, and a brilliant, skilled surgeon. I'm a medical student, and Dr. O'Brien not only treated my shoulder but unexpectedly became a role model and inspiration for my own future career. He truly represents the best of medicine, and I'm thankful to have been under his care.

Dr Obrien and staff are by far the best in the industry, he was not in any hurry with at all. He took time to explain my options and what the recovery would be with those options. I elected to have surgery in one of the surgical centers he works out of. Everything was great. I would fly anywhere to use him again if I needed to. Thank you to Dr Obrien and all the staff for a wonderful experience.

I am now 4 days post opp. 360 degree labrum tear and biceps tendion. He and his team are wonderful. Oh yes and I'm pain free for the first time in months. Thanks so much to Dr Obrien and all involved with my surgery!!

Dr. O'Brien was professional and explained my medical condition, surgical needs, and procedure in layman's terms. He showed me x-rays and pointed out injuries so that I understood in depth. He went over pre-op legal documents in great detail so that I was informed of the importance of what was going to take place in my surgery. Dr. O'Brien gave me his assurance that he would take care of me to the best of his ability. He was informative of what would or could take place. Superb!

Dr.O'Brian is a talented and kind man. He and his nurse Shannon are truly concerned about your wellbeing.

The doctor explains what's wrong in a way that you understand and shows you what he is talking about on the x-ray

Great Doctor.

I had to have rotator cuff surgery performed one year almost to the date of my initial surgery due to a car wreck. The doctor who did the first surgery would not see me because I had been in an accident. This was a blessing in disguise. Dr. O'Brien not only has a terrific bedside manner he knew my frustration with needing this type of surgery again. I had my surgery and not only was the pain not as bad the rehab and being released was in 3 months instead of 6. Highly Recommend!!!!
