Been going here for at least 5 years. He is very thorough and answers any questions that I have.

I called for an appointment (just to get an eye exam) at the end of May and they are booked until October. The woman who answered the phone offered to put me on a cancelation list, but then asked for my insurance information and said "well we don't take that". Fortunately, I can afford to self pay, but she wouldn't know that, because she just dismissed me based on my insurance. I could almost understand this type of wait for an Ophthalmologist, but this is only an Optometrist. WOW... We are fulltime RVers and were in Chiefland , Florida in January, 2021, when I had eye problems . I called the office and the receptionist relayed my info to the doctor. It was about 45 mins. Until closing time. Although I had never seen Dr. Rascati before, I was told to come ASAP. The doctor was very thorough and polite. There was no rush . The assistant stayed late, too . I poked myself in the eye with a sharp tip of a plant. Dr Rascati took me immediately and gave me excellent care. I was very concerned about losing my sight and the cost of eyecare. He calmed my fears and gave me the best of care. After 4 visits, I was surprised. The total charge was less than I would expect to pay for ONE VISIT, not four! These visits were during the height of the covid epidemic, but they kept the office open using meticulous hygenic precautions. High praise for his receptionist who is most coureteous and efficient. No need to travel to Gainesville for eyecare. Dr Rascati is TOPS. 5 STARS
