I went to see Dr Rauh for knee pain. He offered me choices, and I chose to have the procedure. I had a partial arthroscopic meniscectomy. I am so happy with my results. Can't say enough about Dr Rauh's support. He had a fantastic way of explaining what's going on with my knee and talking the time to understand what getting back to 100% meant to me. Dr. Rauh was kind, compassionate and very caring. He took great time and care explaining everything to myself but also very clearly and concisely to my daughter as well. Very happy and confident with our visit, diagnosis and care.

I was informed, listened to and answered at every stage from diagnosis thru treatment and surgery to aftercare and follow up. I feel that the outcome of my surgery has been excellent and that Dr. Rauh and his excellent careing staff have brought about a completely positive outcome.

Dr. Rauh was very clear and informative in the diagnosis of my condition and what I should expect as far as treatment and outcome. He performed my surgery and my pain was almost immediately improved. I went from hurting all the time to expected post surgery discomfort and then mostly working towards recovery of movement and strength with on only minor discomfort. The doctor was fabulous 'punctual educated and funny sense of humor i barely waited two minutes in comfortable front waiting area when taking directly to a private patient room. I was seen first by a women assistant who checked vitals then visited promptly by docs new assistant. Who was knowledgeable and pleasant , after a 15 minute check of symptoms and range of motion Dr .Rauh entered room shortly after .We discussed situation ,then doc referred me to a spinal specialist due to shoulder / neck injury .All in all it was a pleasant experience and the staff in building were very helpful and experienced with multiple insurance companies and building was extremely clean and had a nurse hall monitor to check temperatures and ask normal covid questions. I would highly recommend any office in the building.

Dr. Rauh and PA Talia are both great. I went into the office with severe pain in my shoulder and a MRI was ordered. Dr Rauh went over my MRI and said Rotator cuff surgery was needed to repair torn tendons. He very thoroughly explained what the surgery would entail and if there was any surprises once he got in he would take care of them and this is what he did. After having to repair my bicep , two completely torn tendons and remove a spur, I had physical therapy and now 10 months later I have almost complete full motion in my shoulder and I’m pain free. I did exactly what Dr. Rauh said to do and my physical therapist, it was hard work but well worth it to be out of pain now. Dr. Rauh is a very caring doctor excellent surgeon and I would certainly recommend him to anyone !! If in the future I have a problem I will certainly give his office a call and return to see him. Changed my life! Helped me with both a badly torn rotator cuff and torn meniscus. Both surgeries went as planned, or better. I am now able to sleep in bed without pain and I'm now using the stairs again in a normal manner. Best doctor I've been under the care of! From my first visit thru my surgery and recovery Dr. Rauh answered all my questions without rushing me out the door. His explanations of what was wrong and what he could do to fix it was easy to understand. Dr Rauh and his entire staff were a pleasure to deal with, always considerate of my wishes. I highly recommend him . And after the surgery my shoulder works just fine.

Received shoulder surgery in Oct 2020 for severed rotator cuff and tears in both sides. In May of 21 I feel about 85 % strength, no pain, 95% range of motion. Preop visit to UBOrtho was great all options explained in detail. Followed directions after surgery and have done rehab as recommended. Still doing rehab on own to get to 100%.

Dr Rauh was able to repair a torn meniscus root. I am older than most who get this repair and Dr Rauh believed that I would benefit from the repair. I am glad he took the chance on me.

Dr. Rauh has definitely changed my life for the better! He fixed my rotator cuff that had been damaged to the extent that most doctors would have opted to replace the entire shoulder and rotator cuff! During my rehab I tore my meniscus and MCL in the same knee and just 2 weeks ago he repaired that as well. His repairs and efforts have allowed me to use the stairs again and also sleep in my bed ( which I hadn't from July 28 when I first fell off a ladder ) soundly and without pain! His upfront, direct and to the point, and honest bedside manner is exactly what ever other doctor should be like! Even though I am moving to Tennessee I plan on using Dr. Rauh when it is time to replace my knees and my shoulder for sure! He's a great doctor, outstanding surgeon, and wonderful person in my opinion!

I first saw PA Talia for shoulder pain. She ordered a MRI suspecting rotator cuff torn tendons . Dr. Rauh explained that I had torn tendons and needed rotator cuff surgery. He was very thorough explaining procedure to repair the problem. Once in surgery it was much worse than MRI had shown. Dr Rauh ended up having to repair my bicep and 2 completely torn tendons and removed spur. I had physical therapy and now after 10 months I have almost full motion back in my shoulder. After viewing my shoulder CT, Dr Rauh clearly and thoroughly explained the issues with my shoulder and what my options were. When I finally admitted I needed the surgery, Dr Rauh again clearly and thoroughly explained everything that would happen before and afterwards. Both Dr Rauh and Talia have been great about getting back to me and answering any questions I had. And I couldn't be happier with my outcome! Even though he described my shoulder as really bad; with a rotator cuff tear, bicep near detachments, bone spurs, and arthritis, Dr Rauh's surgical expertise brought me complete relief and almost no post-surgical pain. At just over 3 months since my surgery, with weekly physical therapy, I have been able to regain nearly full range of motion and quite a bit of strength. I highly recommend Dr Rauh as your surgeon if you are having issues with your shoulder!

I went to see Dr. Rauh with shoulder issues and he determined I needed rotator cuff surgery. Just over a year later my shoulder is doing great and I am back to my old activities. Dr. Rauh and Talia were patient and took the time to answer all of my many questions. If I had a family member or friend with shoulder problems I would highly advise them to talk to Dr. Rauh. I have seen Dr. Rauh for a rotator cuff surgery and just recently for a meniscus tear with arthritis in the knee as well. Appointment scheduling is reasonable, his office staff and PA's are outstanding. Dr. Rauh has performed both knee and shoulder surgery on me. Both resulted in very good outcomes. Recovery time from the knee surgery seemed like a couple weeks. Recovery from the shoulder surgery is still ongoing after ten months, which Dr. Rauh told me would be the case. My shoulder range of motion is very good, strength is coming back.

Had shoulder surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. A year out from the surgery, I am pleased to report that it was a big success. Dr. Rauh did a great job as did his entire team. You have to follow the PT regimen and all the rest, but you'll come out fine on the other side. Thank you Dr. Rauh!

He answered questions directly and shared all of the various options as well as his recommendation and the rational behind it. The surgery was successful with a minimal amount of scarring and swelling. His staff was also courteous and diligent (Mary / Talia). Would highly recommend.

Dr. Rauh and his team provided excellent care. I appreciate Dr. Rauh's involvement in research and teaching in addition to surgery. He is straight forward in sharing statistics on the outcome of surgery and provides follow up to keep your rehabilitation on course. I was 63 years old with a severe rotator cuff tear and other related shoulder issues. I understood the importance of rehabilitation after surgery. With perseverance I had excellent results and was able to continue crewing for a hot air balloon, and will resume rowing and take up pickleball next season. I highly recommend Dr. Rauh and his team.

I had torn my meniscus. Dr. Rauh was recommended my primary physician. From the very beginning Dr. Rauh, and all the staff at UB Orthopaedics, were excellent, concerned and caring. They went through all my options with me. I first went through physical therapy, but ended up needing surgery and I am so glad I had it done. My pain is gone and my mobility has improved immensely. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rauh!

Dr. Rauh and PA Talia make a great team. After an initial visit, then an MRI, Dr. Rauh discussed my options and potential outcomes regarding a severe rotator cuff injury. He answered all of our questions and explained what to expect. Deciding to have surgery, I am now 6 months post-op and am extremely pleased with my progress so far. Both Talia and Dr. Rauh have been genuinely concerned for my welfare. They are down to earth and easy to talk to. The office staff is competent and pleasant. I would highly recommend Dr. Rauh to anyone needing his expertise. My only negative experience had nothing to do with Dr. Rauh, but rather with the site where I had my surgery. Due to my insurance not covering surgery at the Orchard Park site, I had to have it at ECMC Ambulatory Center. I would not recommend this site for surgery. I felt they did a substandard job preping me for surgery and rushed me out after surgery. The actual surgery and anesthesia dept were fine. Thanks Dr. Rauh and team!

Dr Rauh is amazing he operated my left knee. My meniscus was torn 85% I don't know what the doctor did but my knee is amazing this guy is a great doctor he really paid attention in school. I will recommend him to all my loved ones and anyone else.

Talia (PA) is very well informed, and has great bedside manner... She has done my knee injections, and is very thorough and kind... although, she CAN make a grown man cry!

From start to finish DR Rauh and his PA Talia were top notch, explaining my options, explaining the process of shoulder surgery. UBMD is a great facility, everything is right there, from office visits to having my MRI , surgery ,and physical therapy, If I had to do it again there's no one else I'd see. Got me back to work in 7 months !
