Dr. Stens took the time to squeeze me in today for an urgent medical problem. Dr. Stens took the time to listen to my Medical needs and he has Great Bed Side manner and cares for his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Stens to anyone who is looking for a primary Dr. I was very pleased with my appointment with him.

In the very beginning I was happy with Dr. Stens even though his credentials designate him as a DO Instead of an MD. When I approached him during the height of COVID and requested a note to allow me to take some time off from work due to my high risk status and knowing that I had a wife at home who was also listed as high risk, his response was, “Your fine, you can work!” At that point I lost total respect for him and I dumped him as quickly as I could. I have no regrets with my decision as I feel he could have analyzed the situation and made a determination that is was better to play safe rather than be sorry. For this critical decision making flaw, I really questioned his professional decision making abilities. Dr. Stens is wonderful, along with his nurse, Sonda, and staff. He takes his time with his patients. Communicate your concerns. Like with any doctor, ask lots of questions. We are all our own health advocate. I’m definitely glad he’s on my team!

Did not discuss problems thoroughly; did not return calls

Stens & his PA Jason were the "Dr's" in charge of my mother' s care at LIfeCare Estero FL from 12/2/20-1/6/21. In those 5 weeks, we NEVER got a return phone call from Stens or his PA. With the exception of mom, our family lives in NJ & LifeCare was shutdown for weeks during her stay due to outbreak of COV cases. Only means of contact was phone. I personally left 5 MSGS w/ nursing staff, my sister left a few, my mother personally asked him/his PA to contact me to discuss her medical care, and out of sheer frustration, my husband contacted Sten's private practice directly requesting callback. We NEVER heard from him! Furthermore, my mom is in DIRE need of Urology & Neurology appointments. Part of Sten's role was to make those APPT's. After 4 weeks he finally set up a Neurology appt, but not until the end of March, she CAN'T wait 3 months! He never set up the Urology appointment. He could care less and is Negligent in care of physically compromised elderly people!

Dr Stens was very personable with a great “bedside manner”. He really listened to my concerns, took his time and ask questions. For the first time in a long time I felt like I was heard and valued as a patient.

First time patient and didn't spend much time with me at all. BP was high when nurse took it. He didn't even mention the high bp. Just asked me if I need any prescriptions. Will never go back. Uncaring doctor.

I needed my Tramadol renewed since last Fri 6-8-18. Up till today's date 6-13-18 my wife had not received any explanation as to WHY. DOCTOR IS GOOD. BUT STAFF KEEPS LYING TO MY WIFE ALL THE TIME WHEN SHE CALLS.

I really like Dr Stens, he has been so helpful in finding me specialists with my health issues.. He always listens & answers all my questions.. I have already referred a few of my friends to him & will continue too..

Very caring physician who gives his full attention and gives you plenty of time. Never felt rushed out of his office.

Dr stens was responsible for my care at Heartland rehab center. He was never available for my questions and only saw me 2 times in the 21 days that I was there. I had multiple questions and never got anything. Upon discharge, my plan of care was not clear and the facility could not help without dr stens approval. He never called back. In short, he was uncaring and irresponsible. Do not recommend!
