Like I said on the title. He is on top of his meds new and old who couldn’t trust a psychiatrist who’s been in the position oh helping and trusting his patients. Staff is great, if for some reason you cant get a hold of him they will try their best to reach him or his assistant……….

Dr. Tolwin is extremely competent and kind. I see him for RX meds so my experience may be different from those who go for therapy. He is eager to do phone conferences, especially during g Covid-19. It's extremely difficult to reach the office by phone,, so I e-mail the office and get prompt results. Lucy, who responds to e-mails is excellent and resolves problems promptly. Dr. Tolwin has been fantastic & a lifesaver. He listens, he gets it, he is up on the latest medications & is patient but thorough. His office staff is also wonderful especially Lucy.

Dr. Tolwin was honestly like an angel for our adult son, who has terrible struggles with schizoaffective disorder. He always responded very quickly to my phone calls (we live in another state), and was a compassionate listener. He was able to get our extremely ill son conserved by the state of CA, which is difficult todo and was very much needed. I cannot recommend Dr. Tolwin enough.

I’ve been very comfortable coming to Dr. Tolwin for many years I wouldn’t go anywhere else I listens when I need listening and he pauses and corrects me when I need correction. Straightforward guy, good guy, he keeps it Casual which I love.. And he always gives me a snack on the way out. Compassionate and professional, Dr Tolwin has provided excellent treatment to me for over a decade. Dr Tolwin is one of those rare MDs that truly cares. I feel lucky to have had my mental health needs so well addressed.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE absolute nightmare to deal with the rude staff. Renewing a prescription with them isn’t worth the headache. They hang up on you if they don’t feel like answering, they don’t respond to messages, they don’t email you unless you beg for their attention. HEED THIS WARNING, DONT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. Worst doctors office ever. The waiting room is small and dirty. His entire staff needs to be fired. They are incompetent. I call the office and a Demonica answers. She is rude and just very disrespectful. This doctor needs his medical license taken. I finally see the doctor and he won't even look up from his computer to greet me. Horrible customer service. Every chance I get to call the office either nobody picks up or they do pick up but shuts the phone down on you quick. I spoke to Demonica because her phone number was listed as the second person to contact if this doctor was unavailable. She questions who gave us her personal number and was blatantly very disrespectful about it. She tells me to call the office and I tried to explain to her I have been trying to get a hold of them for the past four days and that nobody picks up and she answers with: "Can you call again this time." The person who picks up was Lucy and she seemed like she does not know what she is doing and asks Demonica who is beside her because I can hear her voice asking questions back and fourth. The doctor himself doesn't pick up phone calls and even mentions it on his voicemail. Overall, if I could give a zero rating I would. Terrible service and staff. I've spoken to a representative from the office named Demonica (probably named for a reason because of her haughty attitude) and she was just very disrespectful over the phone. She sounded like she had no interest of even keeping a conversation regarding urgent matters and won't allow you to get a sentence in. The doctor himself does not answer or directs you to call the office, and when you do nobody picks up. I've worked in the pharmacy business for over 12 years and this is the first I came across such atrocious customer service. Highly recommend you to see a different doctor so you won't have to deal with poor customer service. In the door, out the door with no feeling of ease or genuine care. The staff was apathetic and barely welcoming. The Dr. himself was dry and also apathetic. The only good take away was his poster of "100 Rules to Live By" or something like this that I was reading while his face was buried in his computer...I should have taken a picture, that was more helpful than the appt. itself. Worst part, we had a follow-up phone appointment, and the Dr. never called me. I have repeatedly called the office and left messages and have never heard back from anyone. I cannot get my prescription refilled now (who knows if my pharmacist can even get through to their office) and I have been forced to find a new psychiatrist. Dr Tolwin is a good Dr. that helped me get on meds to help control my anxiety and depression. The problem is his staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. I have such a hard time getting in contact to get my meds refilled and when I am able to get a hold of the staff they give me a bad attitude, in particular this one Filipina lady (don't know her name) she is so rude and needs to fired. This establishment is meant to help people not treat people like garbage. Why prescribe me medication then when it comes time for refills, I have to go through so much trouble, get an attitude if I am ever able to get a hold of anybody? The lady told me I need to see the Dr excuse me but I've been refilling my medication through my pharmacy and having them contact the office and getting it refilled for almost 2 years now. We've been seeing Dr. Tolwin for 13 years and thank the powers that be we found him. Dr. T is amazing with his listening skills and expertise and knowledge of his individual patients. From mom and brain injured son.

Dr. Michael Tolwin was my psychiatrist for over 14 years, until I had to move from Cali to Oklahoma. He is a very good listener, extremely intelligent, understood my personal problems, gave me excellent advice, prescribed an anti-depressant that turned my life around for the better, and his staff was always pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Tolwin.

do not give this office your social security number and make sure your nursing home does not give your number to this office. i have been reporting medicare fraud for several years and this office continues to bill for services to a nursing home patient who receives no services. Medicare pays no attention nor does Anthem Blue Cross...they just pay the bills even though they are told REPEATEDLY NO SERVICES ARE PROVIDED.
