Doctor is upfront with you. Omg I've seen him since 2015 was the last time I seen him. Since I had covid19 and pneumonia and the nodule in rt lung hasn't changed since 2015.since my covid19..he explains everything to you that you'd understand. And his staff was very nice and accommodating with appointments and pleasant every time I've been there..And I see him every 3 months..And he hasn't pumped me up with medication..If I have a question he'll answer it..And I'd recommend him to anyone who needs pulmoigest // pulmonary doctor..

I love the doctor he’s very good at what he does. Kelly is very helpful in the office. However I just recently spent $45 co-pay and have a huge deductible on my insurance so I basically paid for this visit, and the medical assistant gave me a hard time about writing a medical note. I must’ve called the office four times for this note which I still have not received it up until this day. I supplied all the information the doctor requested and she still did not mail me the note. I do not appreciate being a long time patient and having to go through so much trouble just to get a basic doctor note! So I gave up! So as far as meeting my patient needs they did not. I explained the importance of this medical note and I cannot believe what an incredible hard time they gave me. Such a simple thing to keep a patient happy and I would never of wrote this review had I gotten my notes. Whoever is in charge of the staff there needs to make sure they’re more accommodating of the patient’s needs. Requesting a medical note shouldn’t be something so hard and I shouldn’t of had to take time out of my busy day to write this or to have to call the office of a four times. To this day they have still never giving me my doctors note that I requested. Dr. Chaloub staff needs to help patients not hang up on them or follow up with their requests. I think Dr Chalhoub is the best ! I recently had some asthma issues when left me in the hospital for a week . I am now feeling like a new person thanks to Dr Chalhoub !!

Called to make an appointment. First you have to wait for someone to get on phone. The woman who picked up the phone was so nasty. I told her I want to make an appointment for my husband and I and would like to come together. She said she can only do one appointment at a time. She was speaking with other people while she was asking my details. Then puts me on hold two more times until she gives me one appointment. Again, I remind her I would like an appointment with my husband because we have to go together either way. She puts me on hold again and when she comes back she tells me that my appointment is at 9am and my husband is at 7pm. When I tell her that's not what I want to do she yells at me and says don't be nasty. I told her I'm not being nasty, I just don't want to come in the morning and back at night. The she hangs up on me. So my question is, why? I, like many other people, must accompany my husband to a doctor appointment. I asked if we could please get an appointment together since we must go together anyway. I don't think it's an unreasonable or uncommon request. It might take a little effort to look further down the calendar to find a later date which would enable us to be seen at near consecutive times. I did not yell or curse at this woman, I merely made a comment about the fact that I don't want to come there twice in a day. She does not know my situation, and should be trying to be helpful, not nasty and hanging up on me. No one deserves to be treated that way. I would not recommend an office where the staff is so rude and disrespectful...especially when it was totally unwarranted. Do yourself a favor and find a place where the staff is professional. We all have enough stress in our lives, we don't need this added stress when trying to make an appointment...if this is how they treat sick people, why would you want to go there. Compassion and caring is what you want when going to a doctors office. Let's not forget we are paying for these services. Needless to say, we will not be going back here and I hope this review saves people the unnecessary aggravation. Life's too short! My mother forgot her pocketbook at home and didn't know how she would pay the $6 parking fee. She explained her situation to Diane (front desk) and this beautiful woman loaned my mother the money without a second thought There are still good people in the world!! Thank you, Diane!!!

If you want to feel neglected then go there. No one from the office called to say that my test results are not good. And when I called they said I should have known better to make a follow up appointment. Now I needed these results in order to get a procedure done. Now last minute they tell me that the results are not good and I need to see the doctor. Now my procedure is delayed. Stay far far away if you love your family member! This Dr was the worst doctor I ever came across and I pray no one has to experience him! My father is very sick and could barely walk but he made sure he came in to collect off his health insurance!! He is awful pretty much told my dad that he can’t help because if he does do a biopsy my dad will die... so still, why make someone come in barely walking to hear that news. He could have said over the phone that he couldnt help. This is a two month back and fourth circle with this office. I’m sorry but if you see this man he will tell you he is the best on the island and he has over 20 years of experience. Mr chalhoub you are heartless with no bedside manner. My mother asked if there was broad spectrum medication to treat my father because chalhoub thinks he has cancer he said my mother was talking crazy. They don’t know what they are doing. Office staff is extremely helpful, especially in getting solutions to insurance problems for prescribed medications. Friendly and always helpful. Highly recommend. Doctor is very thorough and responsive to patient needs.

Dr. Chalhoub is the best. He saved my life a year ago. From an upper respiratory infection I had. He got me though a ruff time. Very compassionate and cares alot about his patient. I would give him 10 stars is the aloud me to.

Very disappointed. He needs better people working for him. Who will call back the patient to ask them to make a follow up appointment if needed. And if they are at fault they will never apologize. Instead they will blame you.

Consistently late on filling necessary prescriptions. Most recently he has not returned any calls for the past 8 days, which is still ongoing. The matter of discussion was renewing my COPD medication in the midst of the COVID pandemic. As soon as this is resolved, I will be searching for a new lung doctor.

Spent about 5 min with Md wasn't even done with paperwork..this was a post Covid visit referred to pulmonology unfortunately I picked him..very quick..no time to answer my questions or concerns...never sent notes to my MD that were important in a timely manner even when I asked him..has VM never returns calls...barely a visit or exam..esp post Covid..won't recommend

saw this md for approx. 5 minutes wasn't even done with my paperwork, and this visit was recommended by my primary MD 2* having Covid. Quickest visit with a doctor I've had and walked out before I had questions or concerns

Dr. Chalhoub cured me from COVID 19. I have several underlying conditions and my odds were not good. I thank God he was my Doctor during this time.

This doctor saw me while I was hospitalized on a separate matter. He was rude in the (SIU) hospital. I decided to give him a chance and followed-up when released. Even worse! He did nothing to assist and I felt verbally abused afterwards. Never will I return!

Very pleasant doctor. Answers questions to my satisfaction and explains results. Office staff very pleasant and helpful.

This dr & his associates told my husband he needed to have a lung biopsy on a mass. Not only did he do it incorrectly and give incorrect results, my husband has to have the procedure redone by Sloan Kettering. Thank his we went to Sloan before he surgically implanted a stent in his bronchial tube which was unnecessary. If you value you health and life stay far from these drs.

Our friends recommended Dr. Chalhoub for my son who was having some issues. A month later and he was back to his old self. Two years later and he is doing amazing. Thank you for helping my family.

He is not only a wonderful Dr., but a true gentleman. I can honestly say that I would not want any other Dr treating me. He saved my husbands life 3 years ago and now I am under his care for COPD. Excellent!

He is undoubtedly one of the worst drs I have came across in my life ! I can’t believe he is still practicing after his malpractice suit. Be VERY careful with him he is dangerous ! He had me on sooo much medication for asthma and I kept telling him it was not helping. He completely disregarded everything I said to him, he does NOT listen at all. Turns out I have rotary scoliosis and a variety of structural spine, rib bone issues etc ... and he was pumping me full of meds. This man is a danger !!! If evil walked on earth I am certain it would be Dr. Chalhoub. Look into his history before going to him. Trust me he is DANGEROUS and should not be practicing medicine ! Dr. Chaloub has been the best pulmonologist I have ever encountered helping my mother fight End-Stage COPD. Great guy & will personally reach out to family to ensure safety & good health care. Guy is an angel

He is really dangerous. I encourage anyone going to him to PLEASE get a second opinion. His malpractice suits say it all. He had me on sooo much medication - several inhalers as well prednisone. He did NOT listen to me at all when I told him it was making me worse. Turns out I have rotary scoliosis as well as other structural bone - problems and he was treating my lungs. If EVIL walked the earth it would be him.

This guy is a clown. My grandmother was in the ICU at Staten Island University Hospital for a stroke, responding to commands (thumbs up, two fingers, etc.) and he tells us he recommends palliative care. He just wanted the bed back and saw an old woman who was taking up an expensive spot in his ICU. He tried to make you feel like he's got things under control, but he couldn't care any less about your loved one. On top of that, he struts around the ICU like his you know what doesn't stink. AVOID.

Dr Chaloub is a very good DR A little rough on the edges but a good Doctor. I appreciate what he has done for my partners medical problems. I want to thank him for his help with her problems I really appreciate his help and guidance

Dr. Chalhoub is incredibly knowledgable and he really cares about me. He works with me to improve my overall health and he really wants me to get better. I never have to wait for an appointment with him. If I call and say I don't feel well, they give me an appointment the same day. Dr. Chalhoub has saved my life when I had aspiration pneumonia. He is truly the best. I'm completely devastated that my insurance changed and I can't go to him anymore. I am eternally grateful to him for his care.
