Absolutely fantastic. I could not be happier with my results. Dr. Koo and her staff are affirming, kind, and understanding. The fact that she doesn’t take insurance might be a deterrent for people, but if you can afford her services, her talent is well worth the price.

6 months ago I came in to have a ruptured implant removed and a lift. I wanted a much smaller breasts and didn't want new implants. Dr.koo said it was best if I got a replacement, never mentioning to me that I was at higher risk for capsular contracture. So now, my implants are rock-hard, my breasts are not any smaller than before, and I have lots of scars. I wish I would have never spent the money. Called to inquire about a tummy tuck from diastasis recti. Which would be from having three children. The LAdy I spoke with, Joanne, was extremely rude. I asked if I would be a candidate. I was excited to get more fraxel done (my place shut down). The receptionist explained they do $80 consultations . That is fine and makes sence . I am shopping around and when I called back the lady who answered (not same person) was so incredibly rude that i hung up ! She asked for my name and Info and I said oh I was the one just in the phone , I want to leave my e-mail so I can be sent pricing . She said in a snide tone “ok so refuses to give name, date of birth, or any other info” treated me like I was a child talking down to me in third person for me doing nothing - it was such poor customer service . I felt uneasy before choosing the right doctor to preform my surgery, but it’s no doubt she has the best aesthetics in Missouri. I was not sure what I wanted exactly at first but when I had my consultation she helped guide me in the direction that was best for my body shape. Surgery process went smoothly and quickly. I have been a patient of Dr. Koo's for about 18 years. I had a breast enhancement about 18 years ago which was an overall great experience. When I wanted a tummy tuck, I knew Dr. Koo was the only surgeon I would trust with such a complex surgery. I had previous medical issues that made this surgery more challenging than the normal tummy tuck procedure. Dr. Koo really listened to results that I wanted and was honest on what could be done and what couldn't. I greatly appreciate the honesty and great communication to set the results expectations. Dr. Koo is just amazing! Her placement of the very narrow tummy tuck scar (about the thickness of a pencil line) is brilliantly placed right below the bikini line and hidden with most bikini bottoms! I am amazed how the scar is already fading after 6 weeks (thanks to her Anti-Oxidant Vitamin Serum). The few weeks of misery (slow, painful recovery for about 3 weeks) is worth a lifetime of happiness and my greatly improved self image. My breast reduction surgery has been very helpful in returning me to a more active lifestyle. Several years ago I used to excercise, run and hike with no problem. As my breasts got bigger, I had no desire to keep active. I felt tired and lethargic all day. Dr. Koo did an amazing job. Thanks Dr. Koo for giving me the desire to excercise and feel good about myself again.

Upper eyelid surgery 6 months ago. Loved the way it looked immediately. All my family members on my fathers side have this big overhang at a young age. Ive been using Dr. Koo's skin care for three months and I love it.

My breast are a great fit. Nobody can tell. My husband and I think they are perfect. I had been wearing a padded bra which was a perfect transition. I am barely 5ft tall so big implants would look ridiculous. I have a large medical practice and am sure my colleagues, patients and office staff would all notice. My biggest fear of the whole procedure was being too big. Thanks for delivering what you said you would Dr. Koo. Best description is understated and appropriate.

Excellent care. Wonderful surgeon. Dr. Koo was actually referred to me by a friend but several of my doctor friends also recommended me to Dr. Koo. Love my results. My breast were deflated and low. Dr. Koo did a breast lift with implants. Not big, but just big enough.

I am so happy I got it done! I had been very reluctant and put it off for a long time but the pain was not near as bad as I had imagined. The staff and Dr. Koo were very helpful and answered any questions I had.

Ive wanted a breast reduction for 15 years. Dr. Koo made it such a great experience. Her calm personality and the attitude of all the staff helped make it a relaxed experience. Thanks so much.

The Dr. was very nice HOWEVER I am giving 2 stars for the following reasons: First of all a Dr. That is going to charge DOUBLE what all other surgeons charge should never tell you the choice in size and type of implant is not yours but will be determined by her during surgery. Even if you tell her an appropriate range of CC's you are interested in, she will tell you, "you don't take your car to the shop and tell them exactly what you want, you let them tell you what you need" actually WRONG! You go to a shop knowing what you want. Second: when you have invested 10 years into research before making the final decision to move forward, what Dr. Or staff has the right to tell you that you aren't ready until you wait a couple more months and look at magazines with girls in it.... First of all if you have spent 10 years planning this, you not only know EXACTLY what you want but you do not need to stare at a bunch of "perfect women" and most certainly don't like the assumption that i have a male chauvinist husband and say he needs to look at many women's breasts to decide what he likes.... My amazing husband would NEVER do that, i am all he wants period! 3rd: when you call ahead to find out if the office can accommodate the dates you need to schedule your surgery (and they say they can do that) and you have the money in hand to pay in full (based on what they told you would be the max price charged, which i was told $9500 would be the max for a breast aug with no lift) then once they are paid, the paper comes back over 10 Grand its pretty pathetic to lie to a customer like that. I never would have gone to that Dr. Had they been honest. Then the lady was so rude to me, acting like she was better than me and i was undeserving to be in her presents, then yelling at me telling me i wrote things down wrong EVEN THOUGH I HAD HER REPEAT IT FOR ME TO WRITE DOWN WHEN I WAS MAKING CALLS TRYING TO FIND THE FACILITY I WANTED TO MAKE A CONSULTATION WITH! They refunded my consultation fee because the lady was so out of line and she knew it! My husband actually stood up and told her we are done here and we left. So if you want to go to a place that gives you barely any control over the size or type of implant you are getting, speaks to you as though you are beneath their class, lies to get you in and pay their consultation fee, and charges WAY more than anyone else then sure, this place is for you! I went to another surgeon same day, filling a cancellation in their schedule, also a board certified surgeon, did my consultation, made me very comfortable, never made me feel like i was unworthy of their services, and their price for all the EXACT SAME THINGS was $7800 and they are now paid in full and my surgery is scheduled for one month out WHEN I NEEDED IT DONE SO I WOULD HAVE HELP AT HOME AFTER! I had a negative experience here and I told my soon to be husband about it, and he suggested I shared my experience with an honest review. I did a lot of research prior to my consultation. I take it seriously and I want to know that I am getting the best care. I felt good about Dr. Koo. She’s experienced, and with that, she’s quite expensive (nearly double most others). She was much nicer and optimistic the first time I met her compared to the second. The second time, it seemed she was tired or just not having the best day. I tried to overlook it because I wanted to go to her. I didn’t mind a higher price point in exchange for quality. They called me a few hours before my scheduled appointment, of which I had been booked out a month in advance. I have a strict work schedule but they didn’t take that into consideration, they told me they needed me to come in an hour earlier and gave me no other option other than to cancel. It was important, and I had already been waiting over a month, so luckily my work let me leave earlier than I had asked for. I have now taken two days off of work to go in to see her. I got ‘before’ pictures of my breasts taken at the beginning of the apt so that I could go over them with the Doctor. When she was looking at me in person she said “see look how much your body has changed since these pictures were taken”.... 10 minutes ago? When I told her I had just taken them she was embarrassed. It seemed she was getting annoyed with me having questions. Of course I have questions. Of course I want to know exactly what we would be doing to MY body. The measurements she gave me weren’t even the same as the first time we had met, and I had to pull out my first quote to show her that. Apparently the measurements she gave me the first time wouldn’t really be an option. (?) The doctor would tell me one thing, like price for instance, and then the staff would tell me another. But instead of checking or even asking, they assume the customer is wrong and disregard what you say. This happened at my first appointment, of which I shrugged off. When I went to apt 2, it happened again. The dr told me I could do a Thursday surgery since she didn’t do Fridays, and right after she leaves the room her staff comes in and tells me only Tuesdays. No matter if I’m booking next month or 6 months from now. Isn’t that the surgeons schedule? Shouldn’t they talk about that? Any time I would ask Dr. Koo about pricing, her response would be “I don’t have anything to do with that.” Pretty sure you have everything to do with your own costs, but maybe not the facility charges. Overall I was very happy with Dr. Koo. I found her warm, helpful and she did a great job with my surgery. I am 100000% more comfortable in my body and can actually breathe better without all the bulk on my chest. She said that all her patients tell her afterwards that they should have done it sooner--and she is right. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Unlike the angry reviewer who accused her of telling patients what size they need to be, I found that by asking me several questions each time we spoke, Dr. Koo was able to help me decide the size that would best match what my goals were. Not only did she help me decide, she asked good questions about what concerns I had and addressed them. It's a big decision so even if you have thought about it a long time, it's still important to get feedback from your doctor. Also, regarding the magazines, those were recommended only to get perspective of shape/size desired. I did not have this process for 'cosmetic' reasons so this part didn't seem necessary for my goals however I still understood her reasoning. I didn't give 5 stars for a couple of reasons. One, after spending over $8000 out of pocket (and worth every penny,) I wish the scar cream would have been either included in the total cost, or added to the initial cost as an option. It wasn't a good surprise to have it recommended at my follow up, only to be told it was $100 that I wasn't planning to spend. I didn't really want to spend that much on it but it was too awkward to say no. I'm healing beautifully though. Another reason is that Joanne is obviously very knowledgeable but the downside with knowing things so well is we can forget that what is second nature to us is totally foreign to a patient. It felt like she assumed I knew things that I didn't and she could have shown more patience when I asked questions. What would have been awesome is if they had given a post op timeline of what to expect and when we could do certain things (such as bathing, regular bra, exercise etc.) I had to call in to ask a few things and I felt like I was a bother when I did. Lastly, my husband was upset because of how he was treated when he called to ask a question. I commend Dr. K for not over-prescribing pain meds and felt that what she prescribed was perfect. However, when the pain pills ran out, my husband called to ask advice on what I could take over the counter (ie: ibuprofen) because 2 days after surgery, I was still uncomfortable. Joanne, in a very curt tone, told him I would not be getting more vicadin. He hadn't asked for vicodin, he wanted to see what else was recommended after that. He didn't appreciate the obvious insinuation that we were trying to get more opiates. I understand there is an epidemic out there but not everyone is med seeking. It's important to listen to questions before jumping to conclusions. That being said, I'd absolutely recommend Dr. Koo if you are considering this process. Overall I was very happy with Dr. Koo. Not a fan of big overdone lip filer I was very concerned that having filler would look fake. I was pleasantly surprised after my filler that it looked natural and nobody thought it was too much. Dr. Koo said we could always add more. I use Dr. Koo skin products and love them.

Dr koo has been my doctor for several years. She did my breast reduction almost 20 years ago. My daughter is now scheduled to have her breast reduction. I was so happy that dr koo was able to do my daughters breast reduction. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. I still look and feel good about the decision I made almost 20 years ago.

I finally got up the nerve to go through with the tummy tuck. My stomach was so loose after children and weight loss. I work out regularly and eat healthy diet. It really looks amazing. My clothes fit so much better and I do not feel like I need to pack in all that extra skin into my clothes. I feel so much less conscious now.

I am glad I found Dr. Koo. We really connected on what 'look' I was going for. I am very petite and work in a large company in the finance department. I was very worrried I would look too big. We had two or three meetings prior to my surgery. On the day of my surgery, I felt confident, not nervous. I think that was because we spent so much time talking about everything ahead of time. My recent procedure was a chemical peel. Dr. Koo was very informative and spot on how recovery would occur. She was very focused on areas of concern, and my results were amazing. JoAnne was also very helpful and her follow up was incredibly kind and prompt.

This was not my first procedure with Dr. Koo. Everything went very well - nothing unexpected. When I called, all questions were answered completely. I have not told friends what I had done and they think it was just upper lids and want the same even though they do not have any issues. It makes such a difference in the way I feel about myself. It looks great and continues getting better. I did not feel my age and now I do not look it.

DR. Koo has an excellent bedside manner. Very professional when she spoke with myself and my husband. We could not think of going anywhere else.

This is like Disneyland. I love coming here. I am always treated well and my skin and face have never looked better.

I really was not sure if I could have a breast enlargement and not have it look fake. I definitely did not want my children or family friends know that I had had it. I look the same in my clothes and only look slightly fuller fuller in the top if my breast where I had had none. I just wanted to be fuller but not bigger. My breast reduction was a great success. I was so nervous to go ahead and do it but I decided to go ahead because I missed being able to enjoy clothes, working out and really wanted to start going to the pool with my friends.

Dr. Koo and JoAnn are great! The Receptionist is too! From my first meeting to my post-op appts they have answered every question and tried to prepare me for what to expect, etc. I am so glad that I chose Dr. Koo. I have felt comfortable with her since our first meeting and I was really nervous about the whole procedure. It has been a great experience! The Dr and staff made all the dfference!

I started the breast augmentation journey 15 years ago. I have been to multiple doctors. I had lots of questions. My husband had lots of concerns. Once we moved to Missouri I was determined to finally complete this process. I knew I wanted a doctor who would listen to what I wanted and I found security in Dr. Koo. The lower eyelid surgery accomplished my goal of removing the tired appearance of 'bags' under each eye. I experienced no pain and toook none of the prescribed pain medications. I have received many unsolicited compliments about my appearance after the procedure.
