Dr. Miriam L Freimer

I honestly don’t know why she has any bad reviews. My experience was great and she was very attentive and willing to talk with me and assess me without making me feel rushed at all. She is very knowledgeable but not condescending. I would highly recommend.

I came to Dr. Freimer to get a second opinion after already being traumatized and gaslight by a previous neurologist. She was over two hours late to the appointment, slamming the door open without knocking (making me visibly jump), never apologized for any of it, started the appointment with "so... perfectly healthy your whole life until a few years ago, huh?" in a really skeptical tone, sent the resident in to do my entire exam, and then when he noted the weakness I was trying to explain, she made him change all numbers in his evaluation to 5s (meaning normal strength) right in front of me, then said that even if I did have MG, she would never see me again because she prefers to converse with her patients via MyChart and I'd be seeing a PA in the future "if it's actually MG". She then had the resident type up a note stating the most likely diagnosis to be FND and 1 month later, I was diagnosed w MG after an abnormal SFEMG done at a different location from another hospital system

She then had the resident type up a note stating the most likely diagnosis to be FND (which was wrong, because, again, I really do have a NM disorder), that the benefit I saw from mestinon was the placebo effect, and never even scheduled a followup. I drove two hours to see this woman and I was completely crushed and felt hopeless after this appointment. I was hoping so badly she'd see that even though I was a young woman with a hx of anxiety, I've been managing it my whole life and my issues were real, physical, debilitating problems. When I saw her, my breath count was 28 and my BP and heart rate were sky high. She did not even mention it in the appointment. I ended up in the hospital about 2 months later needing rescue IVIG treatment so I could breathe. Lo and behold, once my disease was treated, I got better. So much for the placebo effect! Getting someone to listen and care shouldn't be so hard! If you are a young woman who suspects she has a rare autoimmune disorder, I highly recommend you stay away at all costs! It's not worth the emotional pain of being invalidated all over again.

A doctor that needs to google basic anatomy and physiology while conducting an EMG should not carry a medical license. If you are unaware of how to perform a neurological test on an EMG, googling it in front of a patient is frightening. I went for a second opinion.

Awful Clinician. She started the visit with a 5 minute non related work conversation with a coworker with door open and my shirt off. Then she proceeded to google something during my EMG. She did this directly in front of me and didn’t take the information off a reputable source. After this occured she informed me (despite just having surgery on several nerves) my issue wasn’t neurological in nature. A truly awful and terrifying experience when a clinician googles information in front of a patient.

Excellent doctor. Very through and clear communicator. Willingness to try therapies and listens to my concerns. I trust her and appreciate her care. Difficult to get an appointment.

Rude. Interrupts often. Dr Freimer is knowledgeable but also arrogant.

A very smart and caring doctor. Diagnosis is dermatomyositis. Current treatment is the infusions offered at Care Point Gahanna. Very good prognosis. Great Doctor.

Dr Freimer and her associates worked very hard to figure out which Neurological Disorder I have. Dr Freimer personally called me after they found the diagnosis through blood work and talked with me about a care plan. She is professional and caring and was very diligent about finding which Neurological Disorder affected me so I could move forward with my life.
