About Mohammad Farooq Dada
Reviews for Mohammad Farooq Dada
I went in with pretty low expectations and it managed to be worse than I expected. The doctor really didn't listen to me. He told me to get an assessment by a psychologist (apparently my current psychologist doesn’t count) he gave me a list of "psychologists he works with" and told me to find one, get assessed, and let him know when that was done. He suggested a non-stimulant adhd medication as a future possibility and blew me off when I said I've read it can cause seizures. I told him about being on other medications and having a seizure on it- and that I wasn't taking anything that could cause seizures. He ended the appointment by prescribing me an antidepressant (not what I was seeing him for ) that, after some light research, looks like it also can cause seizures. He also didn’t look at the camera the whole (virtual) appointment.
Sessions are very short and not meaningful. Books you month to month so he can bill you over and over. Doesn't actually care about the patients. Would rate 0 is available.
I had him as the weekend doctor at Bristol Health inpatient last weekend. By far the worst psych professional I have ever encountered and I have been hospitalized 20+ times. It’s a shame that anyone would employ this man. He walks around like he is a god there and doesn’t give you more than ten minutes of care. There were only 6 or 7 of us so he had no excuse to be so checked out. Get out of this profession. You are what’s wrong with it. Dr. Dada has been treating me for the last year and I never dreamed that medication could help me as much as it has! If it weren't for his dedication to making me feel better I wouldn't be as well as I am. I highly recommend him as he listens, is professional and well informed.
Dr. Dada is the best. Some doctors are smart but lazy, other doctors work hard to compensate for gaps in knowledge. Dr. Dada is the rare physician who is extremely well educated as a result of truly caring about his patient population. He has several fellowships and a lifetime of experience across many areas of medical education. I have recommended him time and again to people in my own life who are interested in seeing a psychiatrist and they always thank me later for bringing him to their attention. He's an older guy, so sometimes I find myself repeating things to him, but this has never really bothered me because it shows he knows where to look and what to clarify prior to ending the visit.
I see Dr. Dada regularly. He is very knowledgeable about medications and interactions and, as someone who takes 8 different medications, this was essential. He literally saved my life and I am doing well because of his care.
If you're anxious or depressed, I strongly urge against seeing Dr. Dada. His treatment has left my symptoms worse off. He asked many irrelevant questions and didn't seem to pay attention to my responses. I was honest about my history, telling him that I started seeing my last Dr. while recovering from heroin. That was over 13 years ago and is way in my past. However, this seemed to be the only thing he remembered of me. That was very clear while getting blood work done. To my surprise, he had also ordered a drug test without my knowledge or consent. I hadn't felt this judged and embarrassed in years and only went along with it to keep the tech from feeling awkward. It was unprofessional and inappropriate at best. After expressing my disappointment, I ended all further visits. Today Cigna notified me that they were not going to cover the test because my primary diagnosis was coded as "opioid abuse, in remission". He did not help my current problem because he was too hung up on my past.
One of the best doctor that I know of.
Dr. Dada is the best Dr! He is very caring and understanding & will listen to you. Thank you Dr. Dada!!
I feel safe in his care. He goes over my medications at every visit and reviews my treatment plan and goals. He is a patient, understanding, knowledgeable, considerate listener and is open-minded. I look forward to my visits. He’s a good man and a trusted physician who is always there for me when I need him. ***** 5 stars
Pleasant & professional Group of individuals.
He left me without medication even though I had an appointment to see him in 2 weeks. He would not call in enough to bridge me to the appointment. His staff is rude and uncaring. I will not be back.
Will make you wait over an hour while you watch him call in several other patients past your appointment time. EVERY TIME. He will.not return calls and he will leave patients without meds for weeks. His bedside manner is horrible. No confidential voicemail so when you leave messages pleading for your medications the unprofessional front desk staff writes your personal health information down and im assuming it never gets to him. I had to request documents for court from Dr Dada and he did not provide them to me several times when requested. I did not get the docs in time for court. When I did get them, I found he was not keeping any notes on our individual sessions. He has incorrect diagnosis on the papers and a note that says I am unable to comply with my therapy appointments which is ludicrous! I have been going to therapy on my own for over ten years. I cannot understand how it is noted that I'm not complying. Also he stated my anxiety is cannabis-induced and I use every day. I never told him I use daily, and I had severe anxiety since I was 10 and it was not cannabis induced. My last doctor tried a mood-stabilizer and it did not work for me. Dr. Dada saw the notes and assumed I'm bipolar because I was on a mood stabilizer. I explained it did not work and I only tried it at my own request, now I guess I'm officially bipolar in his book even though this was ruled out by my previous doctor. He really does not listen or care. He is simply there for a paycheck. Very sad. I had to request documents for court from Dr Dada and he did not provide them to me several times when requested. Dr Dada is a a great psychiatrist. He is extremely knowledgeable, listens and is kind. He always explains in depth any medication and follows up at next visit. He answers any questions and concerns I might have and takes his time during the visit. I highly recommend Dr Dada and have sent many people his way.
He is attentive, knowledgeable and a good listener.
Left feeling much better than when I came in! Thank you for your help.

I met with Dr Dada in Jan 2018. He is a nice, well spoken, intelligent man who asked many questions. I want hurried out of our meet with a 5 minute time limit. What he Prescribed seems to work. It won't replace my pain meds though a high CBD product has helped in my lower back pain. Dulled the stabbing points to an ache. Thank you Dr Dada.
I have been to Dr. Dada 3 times. I was referred to him as a Dr. I could continue Therapy for a specific pain medicine I am on for chronic back pain. So far the process has been smooth and I have been able to continue. Thanks to Dr. Dada!
