Dr. Mohit Bhasin

I am excited to see Dr. Bhasin branched out with his own office. There are few doctors that care as much as he does about the patient. Exceptional bedside manner, friendly and attentive, and very knowledgeable. His whole team has been great to deal with as well as far as scheduling etc goes. I highly recommend.

"If I could give negative stars, I would. I started going to innovation Cardiology after having recovered from COVID. The process originally was very easy, and the great reviews brought me to choose to come here. I was met by Dr. Gambill who explained my situation clearly, and with great care. I turned in prior paperwork from an urgent care, trusting they would take care of me. Following my initial appointment, the scheduling program collapsed. Instead of promptly fixing or adopting a new system. The practice failed to put care of patients first. Following appointments were arranged, on my own, after several phone calls, many times the phone call would simply not be picked up by the receptionist DURING NORMAL WORKING HOURS. I would kindly and patiently leave a voicemail expressing my concerns, and I would receive no return call. I would have to pray to be lucky to have someone pick up. I finally needed the results of my paperwork from my treatment before and during my stint with innovation cardiology. In addition to the labs I needed to prove for my work, so that I could return. Getting an electronic copy, after Dr. Gambill was no longer in the practice, (I would wonder why; however, I would find out the hard way.) was worse than pulling teeth. I do not want to talk about the billing process, that my family is working through. I would caution anyone needing a cardiologist to look closer than the apparent reviews on google." Update as of 10/29/2021: Met Dr. Bhasin when I was trying to solve my previous issue at Senterra. He is also a great doctor who was concerned and informative about my condition. While this does not change the headache I went through, I do feel like the doctor's care. I think whoever is managing the calling and billing needs to be more patient minded, but I do think Innovation cardiology deserves more than the 1 star I left originally. I left this practice when Dr. Gambill left. He was top notch. Concierge-like treatment.

If I am able to give this company ZERO stars I would. When I first started coming to see Dr. Bhasin, it was when this practice opened. I found him on a different company website with great reviews and so I thought I would give him a try since I was new to the area, and let me tell you, my first visit was fantastic. Dr. Bhasin took his time with me and explained my heart condition to the level where no one has done before. BUT, my latest follow up was the complete opposite. First off, I contemplated even leaving a review, but since I found Dr. Bhasin off of reviews, it was only the right thing to do so other people are aware. When I showed up for my recent appointment, I was greeted by Heather. She was very negative and was not inviting. She seemed like we were inconveniencing her. Then come to find out, she is the office manager. Then I was roomed by Melissa (I think was her name) she was ok, but I felt that I was rushed through the intake process. I asked if nurse Rachel was working today and they told that she no longer worked there. She was a great nurse that answered calls, even when I called on the weekends. She was the definition of a great nurse! They definitely need her back! When it was my turn to see Dr. Bhasin, he was very late to my appointment time, but when he did show, I did not feel rushed in anyway by him and he listened to everything I had to say. But with that being said, even though my appointment with Dr. Bhasin was great other than being late to the start of my appointment, I will be finding a new cardiac doctor because your support staff it the face of your business and your primary contacts and my recent encounter was way less than superb. Dr. Bhasin is a outstanding physician who is incredibly thorough, possesses a deep and broad medical knowledge, has an outstanding bedside manner, and simply practices medicine the right way and for the right reasons. I highly recommend him – he is a superb doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bhasin for about five years now. After relocating my home from Charlotte where I underwent aortic valve replacement and an aortic canal screen wrap to repair an aneurism. It was apparent that I would require a new cardiac specialist. At that time Dr. Bhasin was practicing at another facility. The care, concern and manor I was treated with by Dr. Bhasin and his staff impressed me. When I went for my regular yearly appointment, I was told he had left his former practice. I immediately panicked at the thought of losing this wonderful physician. We were able to contact his new practice at Innovation Cardiology in Norfolk. His new staff reconnected me to the man I trust my life with, Dr. Bhasin. " It takes a village " they say. and his staff are top notch in their field. I was in the market for looking for a cardiologist recently, but this place is insane. I not only tried called and emailing to get a hold of someone for a new patient appointment for what seemed like almost a week of trying I finally got in touch with a lady. While speaking with her she was very rude and honestly it didn’t seemed like she cared about her job at all. I asked if she would be able to answer some insurance questions as well so I knew what to expect to pay at time of visit. They would answer the phone very few times. I called many times regarding my billing. But they told they would call me back the next day. Each time I had to call them back the next day and no one would answer the phone! This happened many times and I did not get my issue resolved yet.

Three years ago I took on the responsibility of care giving for my 84-year-old mother. This was daunting task to find multiple specialists. Fortunately, I received a recommendation and soon thereafter we met Dr.Gambill. He was immediately attentive towards my mother and took the time to address her needs. I observed her reaction and appreciated the kindness and respect he demonstrated. I had my own set of questions regarding changes he recommended. This was my first time visiting any cardiologist. I have been having minor heart issues for years but not until recently did they become concerning. Not only did Dr. Mohit Bhasin listen to my concerns, he came up with a treatment plan that did not involve medication, or me having to go into a hospital during a pandemic. There is no possibly way to describe how incredible Dr. Gambill is! After having my first Pulmonary Embolism with right heart strain, I went in to see him for a follow up. I was still barely understanding exactly what had happened and he took it upon himself to literally draw out where the clots were, what they were doing and how my heart played a role in it all. He helped me understand well enough to even pass on what I learned to my family as well. While I hope I don't have to see him often and can remain healthy, I'm so happy to have found a cardiologist who is as wonderful and intelligent as him. I can't say how appreciative I am of him relieving so much of the built up anxiety I was having over it all. Dr Gambill was very detailed, listened, and came up with a plan to get us going. I felt very comfortable speaking with him and am very confident in the quality of care at the practice. I’m also a former patient of Dr Bhasin and had a great experience with him too.

Dr. Gambill is an exceptional doctor. After years of seeing doctors who ignored signs and misdiagnosed symptoms of my heart condition, as well as those who chose not to listen to me when I described symptoms that were a pre-requisite to a stroke, Dr Gambill truly took the time to hear me. First, thanks solely to Dr. Gambill and Dr. Newton (surgeon) as I am alive to share this with others! I met Dr. Gambill after I did my own research to find a cardiologist. My PCP referred me to a different cardiologist 7 months ago to assist with uncontrolled BP, arrhythmias and other issues. Following the Typical S*nt*ra protocol, after 10 minutes and an echocardiogram that cardiologist dismissed me with a "call me in 6 months". Symptoms worsened, shortness of breath began, and my body let me know I needed to do something. When I reached out to Dr. Gambill, on the initial visit, he spent over an hour gathering my history and symptoms, and immediately ordered an RX that he advised to keep with me 24/7. He then advised he would be arranging test, which began a few days later, followed by a contrast dye CT, followed by a Cardiac Cath - all within about 2 weeks. The next office visit, he gave me the news of blockages, and the more concerning news of a congenital defect with the heart & aorta, which he believed should only be handled by just a couple of surgeons in Hampton Roads. Within days, I met with the surgeon, who like Dr. Gambill took an hour or so to explain the complexity of why only open heart surgery was the only option I had. On May 19, I had surgery. Dr. Gambill initially listened, acted promptly to verify his initial diagnosis, arranged the surgeon appointment, who promptly scheduled surgery, all in about 30 days. Between test, the surgery, and follow ups, Dr. Gambill maintained contact. He treats and communicates with you on a personal level. I am 63 years old. I have never come across a more dedicated, professional physician. If I could rate him greater than 5, he certainly deserves such. Thank you. This was my initial feedback. 2 weeks ago, while I was having chest pain, Dr. Bhasin's responded quickly and returned my call for help swiftly. He took the time to listen to my concerns and provided a plan to thoroughly assess my health condition. He also flexed his staff's schedule so that I get an echocardiogram at his clinic and then spent a good amount of time to explain the results of his assessment. He is very professional, communicates well, very responsive, and more importantly, I believe that he really cares. His staff is responsive as well. Below is my 2nd feedback as of this day (7Jan2021) and reflects more of my thoughts and respect for Dr. Bhasin. Dr.  Bhasin saved my heart and gave me hope for a  healthy and long life with my family.  Last month and within a five day period, I had three ER visits due to recurring chest pains   All and numerous results from EKGs, labs, Echos, X-rays, and stress tests results came out normal and I was repeatedly told by ER Doctors that I was perfectly fine and that my heart is functioning well. Fortunately, I am blessed to have found Dr. Bhasin following my first visit to the ER.  Google  listed Dr. Bhasin as one of  BEST Cardiologists in Virginia.  I called several cardiologists for appointment but none of them called back except Dr Bhasin...he called me back quickly within mins after I left a voice mail. Dr. Bhasin listened to my concerns and offered a diagnostic plan to figure out what was causing my recurring chest pains.  He is proactive, aggressive, and thorough with his intervention plans. I will never see another cardiologist. Dr. Bhasin and Innovation is the only place I will go to get cardiac care. He has great bed side manner. He truly cares, and always wants the best outcome for his patients. I expect a lot from all my doctors and Dr. Bhasin always exceeds my expectations.

We are truly blessed to have a doctor of Dr Bhasin caliber here in the Tidewater Area. He is in the very top of his field, always staying current in the latest medicine. Dr Bhasin is very personable and treats you like you are his only patient. I give him and his new office, Innovation Cardiology my highest review.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gambill for about 21 months due to my serious heart condition. He had reviewed my case before I saw him and asked me to tell him what was going on (in my own words). Dr. Gambill was forthright, professional, and had a good sense of humor. I have seen him seven times since my much improved heart condition. When I received a letter from his previous firm that he would be leaving , I was able to reach out to his new office after finding him online after he left and he was more than happy to continue to be my cardiologist. I was worried that I would have to look for another doctor. My first visit at his new office (Medical towers Norfolk) went exceptionally well. Less than 5 minute wait in the lobby ( I was the only one there) and EKG in 10 minutes---Wonderful Staff. No waiting for the doctor. He spends time with his patients to ensure they have all the facts and answers before they leave. He makes you feel comfortable and listens to what you say. Dr Gambill uses e-mail to communicate with his patients if desired. No waiting to reach a doctor and have a question answered. Very easy to get an appointment with Cardiology Innovations. Dr. Gambill recently combined his practice with Dr Bhasin. Both are impressively experienced cardiologists. I have been his patient since prior to my cardiac surgery in June 2019. As a physician myself, I immediately connected with his compassionate bedside manner, straight-forward style and honesty. I was and am confident with his cardiology knowledge and experience. The new office is readily accessible with nearby parking. The staff was friendly and efficient. My feeling is that the practice provides a "boutique" experience in that you do not feel rushed and given more than adequate time with the physician. They provide onsite diagnostic testing, such as doppler echocardiogram, and the staff was helpful with scheduling other testing as recommended. About six years ago or so I began seeing Dr. Bhasin after discovering I had a congenitally defective heart valve. It finally began to fail a year ago leading to open heart surgery to replace it and repair the aorta. I'm now fixed. From those first days after the discovery and through my surgery and recovery Dr. Bhasin has been phenomenal. I am by nature a suspicious person but I trust him completely with my life. His counsel is clear - as specific as you want - and his good humor infectious. He doesn't shy away from direct advice or hard reality. His impeccable credentials and expertise are easy to find. Dr Bhasin has been with us for over 3 years since my husbands aneurysm. He makes sure he stays on trck with his CT scans and his echo cardiograms. He is an excellent Dr. who truly cares about his patients!
