She is quick to judge, horrible bedside manner, and takes no time to get to know the patient or their medical history. She's quick to dismiss any new symptoms even though they should be cause for concern. I've dealt with heart problems since I was 16, now 37. Three years I've spent under her "care" and I've never felt worse. I've even been hospitalized due to her and her team's negligence.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Lo for a few years now. She’s thoughtful, listens & has gotten my issues controlled. When I had to have brain surgery at UAMS, Dr. Lo & her staff immediately got me in for testing over an abnormal EKG to make sure everything was okay to proceed. They communicated well with anesthesiology, getting necessary test information to them & reassured me everything was fine. She is the sweetest person & even took time to simply be a friend, not only my doctor. I highly recommend her and LOVE her caring staff. They are the BEST!!!

Monica Lo was my husband’s doctor in 2017 when he was so severely injured during a TEE probe insertion that he lost his esophagus. He suffered from pain and dysphagia for 2 days before being transferred to another institution, where he underwent an emergency esophagectomy. The surgeon said he had never seen an injury like that — a 21cm esophageal hematoma. Esophageal tissue was becoming ischemic and necrotic. Throughout our stay at Arkansas Heart Hospital, Monica Lo consistently and falsely denied any role in/knowledge of a difficult TEE probe insertion. I got a copy of the relevant medical record and saw that she had, in fact, been involved in the probe insertion, which meant she had been lying to us the entire time. She later repeated this lie under oath. Witnesses later testified Monica Lo DID the probe insertion. Outright lying to a patient after a medical error is unconscionable. I can recommend neither a physician with such a profound lack of integrity and respect for a patient, nor an institution like the Arkansas Heart Hospital that apparently finds this offensive attitude toward patients acceptable. My husband was so seriously injured during a TEE probe insertion when he was Monica Lo’s patient that he lost his esophagus. Throughout our 2-day Ark. Heart Hospital stay, Monica Lo falsely claimed she had no role in/knowledge of a difficult probe insertion. Only when I got a copy of the Heart Hospital record did I learn she had, in fact, been involved in the probe insertion. Witnesses later testified under oath that Monica Lo DID the probe insertion that caused a 21cm long esophageal injury. I cannot recommend a doctor whose first instinct when medical error occurs is to lie to the patient. Such a lack of integrity and respect for the patient is unconscionable.

Monica Lo was my husband’s doctor when he was severely injured during a TEE probe insertion, suffering a 21cm-long esophageal injury. After 2 days of suffering under her care, he was finally transferred to an institution with competent physicians, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove his esophagus. That surgeon said he had never seen an injury like the one my husband suffered. Monica Lo has consistently denied any knowledge of/role in the difficult TEE probe insertion. The medical record and sworn testimony of 3 witnesses say otherwise. The witnesses say she DID the probe insertion. I do not recommend this practitioner.

This review is a joint review of Dr. Lo as well as her office. I had an initial consult with Dr. Lo and left the room more confused than when I went in. She spoke to me like I was also an Electrophysiologist and I had to get a debrief from her nurse, Angie, of what next steps were and she gave her direct number if I had any questions. I waited and waited for a call back on results from a test that was ran and never received one. I called and left voicemails multiple times with Angie and never received a call back explaining the test results. I did however get a letter with the test results 2+ weeks later. I was supposed to receive another test and each time I was called I unfortunately missed it. The voicemail directed to the general Heart Hospital number to schedule but every time I called back I would get the usual "...experiencing unusually high call volume..." and would hang up after 15 minutes of waiting. Overall this was a horrible experience with this clinic and I would not recommend. I was able to find another provider who saw me and was able to read the results of my tests and relay that information to me as Dr. Lo's office wasn't interested in helping. I have been very disappointed in many aspects of receiving care from Dr. Lo. She is usually unavailable, does not listen, and conducts most treatment issues through other staff which results in extreme lag time in getting answers, if any. If you want someone to treat you that is personally involved in your care, go somewhere else.

Do not go to this doctor. I am not qualified to speak to her technical skills. I can only speak to the persona of someone you need to do a procedure that will impact your life and having a most likely lifetime relationship of follow up appointments. I will not go into the details but professionalism with her and staff are lacking to the point as other posters have noted will mock you if you ask questions. Needless to say those lifetime of appointments has been terminated.

Dr. Lo was the most compassionate and caring physician our family has had care for our mom. She has gone above and beyond exploring options to improve her quality of life with CHF. I highly recommend her.

Has no bed side manner and could care less about helping patients find out what is wrong. Was treated horribly and then her npa laughed and rolled her eyes at me and my son. We still have no answers

Dr.Lo was unwilling to show any compassion and explain anything to us. We spent 3 hours in the waiting room just to go back in the room a for a tilt test which we failed and didn’t find out from her but, our pharmacist. After the test and she explaining everything for all of 3 minutes she left. We took our own IV’s out and left with no answers

Dr Lo is a wonderful doctor and seems to be an all around great person. She explains everything very well and has an excellent bedside manner. My father thought the world of her and now she is taking just as good care of my husband. I can’t say enough good about her and her staff or the Arkansas Heart Hospital.

I really liked the way Dr. Lo took the time to explain the options I had and the risks and gave me time to decide the direction I wanted to take.

Dr Lo showed very little interest in trying to determine why my husband had afib. Made little effort on our behalf. After waiting over an hour to be seen we left without answers. She did not seem willing to take the time. Call to us for abnormal results was received by the nurse without a referral for medical care on abnormal labs. Not the way good medicine works in my opinion.
