Called to make an appointment to have my child evaluated against my better judgment. Red flag #1 they are only open 2-3 days out the week, #2 all of my daughters therapists high recommend I NOT go to her, and the biggest red flag of them all…she DOES NOT TAKE INSURANCE. Never in my life have I heard of a doctor not taking insurance. Certain insurances yes, but any insurance is crazy. They told me out of pocket ONLY and it would be $300+. Considering there are only 2 or 3 people in all of El Paso to do autism diagnosis, that is just crazy.

Dr.Suchoff is bilingual so she was able to conduct the whole session in Spanish. She was very friendly, attentive and willing to answer all of our questions.

Only had two visits with this woman and it made me never want to go back again. Her little racist and ableist comments are a red flag. Treating children with autism and referring to them as “animals” is disgusting behavior. If I could report her I would.

Dr suchoff excellent doctor A year ago she diagnosed my little 3- year old Angel she medicated him for aggressiveness and thanks to God and her my son has had big changes in his behavior and has improved a lot. High recommendations, very respectful and very kind person.

Dr. Sucoff has truly been a blessing in my sons life. As a parent I feel completely confident in her decisions. I feel more educated as a parent when I leave the office and well equipped with her direction for resources. I also feel like she always listens to my concerns about My son. Dr Suchoff was the first doctor I went to in El Paso that did not make me feel like she just wants to make money with my son. She didn’t make us feel like he’s just a number in her files. Definitely not what I was expecting. How can a doctor easily diagnose a child with just a questionnaire? She didn’t do any activities to properly diagnosed. I left the doctor appointment even more confused. I do not give any credibility to her diagnosis. I’m hoping I can find a doctor that’s more knowledgeable on this.

Dr Suchoff and her staff are very proffesional and understanding. I could see a big change on my sons mental health for the best.

Dr. Suchoff is in taking care of my 5 y/o son with mild autism and anxiety. Since the start of treatment till now my son has improved big time with his speech, relationship with other kids and adults and on his daily routine. I can't thank her enough.

We saw Dr. Suchoff after 6 years of trying to figure out what exactly was going on with our son. After so much stress and anxiety for our son and ourselves we went to see Dr. Suchoff. She was able to help us and our son was diagnosed with Autism and General Anxiety disorder. She was very understanding of all our concerns and thorough in her evaluation of our son. She was very reassuring and positive about the diagnosis. She provided resources such as therapy (OT/ST), videos and articles about autism. She offered medication to help manage his anxiety. We were reluctant however it has been life changing for our son and our family. By helping our son manage his anxiety in conjunction with therapy he has made great improvements. Dr Suchoff, is amazing. She is understanding. She has always addressed my concerns. Was hesitant about medication, and she suggested natural supplements. Went back a year later and she started my child on a very low dose. My child is not “zombified”, he is pretty much the same child. He just struggles less with his anxiety. Dr. Suchoff is the absolute best child development specialist in El Paso. We have seen several psychologists and psychiatrists for second, third, and even fourth opinions and have always returned to Dr. Suchoff. She is very educated on medications, and when she makes a recommendation, she gives us options and lets us choose the best fit for our child. She understands how the medication works and is also very empathetic about developmental disorders as she has experienced them in her family. She has shown complete compassion and empathy to our family, listens to us whenever we have issues with medication or behavior, and always gives us options to address any problems. She is never pushy with medicines and is very respectful of parents who do not want to go the route of giving their children medication. If I could give this lady ZERO stars I most certainly would. The most unprofessional doctor I have met in my life. Every visit was always a repeat of the last one, her constant need to load up my son with all sorts of medication even though he was doing perfectly fine with the dosage he was at. Her little petty remarks and comments never went unnoticed either. I put up with it for years for my son's health and the fact that she is one of two behavioral pediatric specialist available in El Paso. Mind you I live in Socorro and she is located literally on the other side of town. It was fine in the beginning but then I noticed that instead of seeing us every 3 months, which worked out perfect, she started seeing us every 2 months. No explanation for the change either, collecting on that co payment is my only assumption. I've had nothing but a fantastic experience with this Dr. My children have been seeing this dr for years. Prior to her help one of my children had communication troubles and struggled academically. We (the school and myself) were deeply concerned with his lack of progress and if he'd ever be able to do full gen ed. This was a few years ago and now he's an AB student with limited intervention and is skilled in his instrument he plays at school. My family and I are very thankful to Dr. Suchoff and staff. After years of traumatic pediatric experiences for both of my Autistic dauthers, we finally have a Dr. that they enjoy visiting. Honestly I didn’t think that giving my kids meds would help in anything. Thinking that it would make them worst. But in reality the dosage are constantly monitor. Most importantly is that I feel free to speak about my dauthers medical plan and ask as many questions as we have. She always listens to what we have to say and gives suggestions on how to improve. All I can say is that I had very high expectations towards the Doctor and looking forward to this appointment, and I was sadly disappointed with the questions I was asked since they were the same as the application provided prior to the visit. I would think that the visit could be more hands on, tests to evaluate, I just feel that the Doctor is not all there she had a very aggressive attitude towards me and my child . I just cannot believe our give credibility to her diagnosis towards my child. I am more confused now and hoping I could find a Doctor that could really answer my questions and help me guide my child.

If I could give this doctors office no stars I would. This doctor and her staff is extremely rude. They cancel appointments last minute and are rude about it. They give you appointments months ahead and dont even give calls to remind you because they want to collect their $50 missed appointment fees. I missed an appointment in Nov, with Holidays and everything being so hectic and no reminder call. Then I call to amke an appointment and they are rude about scheduling another appointment. If you need meds for your child they charge a $30 prescription fee...mind you I'm all the way across town. Then I get a call saying that my appointment which is tomorrow is cancelled. I let them know my son is out of meds and the person that calls me says it's my fault for not bringing my child in and that the last time he was seen was a year ago, which is not true. She kept saying that I was the one to blame for my child not having meds and was so rude about it. I will never reccomend this office to anyone. I'm surprised to see so many dissatisfied reviews. My experience was amazing, the staff was nice and the doctor was extremely patient and thorough when it came to asking questions and examining my son. I would honestly recommend this place to my friends who's children may have developmental delays.

Dr. Suchoff has helped and is continuing to help my son. I was at a loss of what to do for him. It's going to be a long road but I think we have a great doctor who has experience and is open minded to what his needs are. Dr. Suchoff is such a wonderful doctor. She has been helping my son for a few years now and I have seen such immense improvement. My son is alert, engages with others and loves to, his speech continues to improve, loves to pretend play and is doing so good now. I will continue to trust Dr. Suchoff in all she does for my child!

My son has been going to Dr. Suchoff since before he turned 2 in 2015. When she first saw him, he was almost mute, he would have anxiety attacks 3-4 times a week, and he wouldn’t interact with anyone. Dr. Suchoff immediately gave us a guide to how to help him. My son is 6 now and he speaks, he eats well, he is social and active. She has helped us understand my son’s condition, and has given us so much support even when others have not. I have been going to this office for years! Never have I had an issue with prescription, as long as I follow the rules. People forget there are laws, rules and regulations that must be followed due to prescription and I respect those. Dr. Suchoff and her staff have always been kind and attentive to our needs. They go out of their way to make sure my prescriptions are up to date. As a parent, I also keep up with this information and do not expect things to be given last minute. I believe that a child with ASD needs the support of a community in order to succeed. Dr. Suchoff and her staff are a great part of that community my son needs to succeed. We started with Dr. Suchoff and her staff about 18 months ago and, honestly, it was probably the best decision we could have made for him. Dr. Suchoff demonstrates great empathy with her patients and also the families. She is also very firm and to the point. I love her style and approach. She looks at the family unit and works to help parents achieve change by a combination of medication management, parenting techniques, and linking parents to available resources in the community. With all that being said, it really is up to the parents to do most of the work implementing behavioral strategies, keeping appointments, and being open to new ideas. **PLEASE READ!! This doctor is horrible!!! LONG REVIEW BUT WORTH IT!! If I could not give any stars I would. I simply took my son there to get some help with potty training as recommended by his pediatrician. Within 2 mins of walking into her office, the doctor asked if my son had autism (simply by looking at him walk in). I quickly said no and she just said okay. In speaking to her further and telling her my concerns with him not wanting to use the potty, she quickly stated that he has anxiety. ( Again without even asking him any kinds of questions or without even touching him at this point). She suggested a medication three times a day for anxiety to keep him “chill”. I explained that I didn’t think this was necessary as he is usually “chill” and is only 3 years old. She stated that he came in “too alert” and “ wouldn’t keep his eyes off of her” stating that at 3 years old, he should be “more relaxed and opened to strangers”. I told her that I have showed my son to be that way as the world we live in is crazy and he should never just be opened to strangers. She was very aggressive in how she asked her questions after giving me a diagnosis before even evaluating him. And out of the 10 questions she asked directly to my son, he got 8 right. She said for missing 2 questions, he needed speech therapy??? I was floored as my son has always been told he is advanced. If it can’t get any worse, she still had the guts to tell me that I can cheat the school system by telling them he had a speech delay (even though she later said he didn’t) so that he could be placed in a special ed class for a year and “benefit for free for a full year” then would be transitioned to a regular class and be “ahead of the game”. As a Mom, I answered all questions honestly and truthfully for if my son truly exhibited any signs of delays or autism, I would be willing and opened to getting him help. However, not once has his pediatrician ever been worried about any of these issues and any child going into a new office with a new doctor is going to show hesitation at first. I think this doctor was too quick to put a label on my child and it hurts me to know how many innocent children she has misdiagnosed and are on medication for no reason. If your child has any kind of delay, consider traveling to a doctor outside of our city as this one is the only one here locally I believe, and is useless. My grandson has been diagnosed with Aspergue's and ADHD and we been dealing with very stressful situations, he has been under Dr. Suchoff care for a year and his behavior has been changed dramatically, she is very professional and goes straight to the point, her staff are very helpful and efficient. This is long so please read I recommend Dr. Sucoff !!!!! I know many doctors and evaluations tend to say don't go there find someone else why. Because she believes not in just medications but in her patients as well she knows they can thrive with just the right medication. I’m so glade I didn’t go to another doctor DR. Sucoff is exactly the person I was looking for. If you ever get a doctor who knows Sucoff and says don’t go please go to her because she is one who will be on board and she is willing to help you along your path. She is also taking new patients so please go to her office and fill out that paper work. Dr.monica Sucoff is amazing today was my first time taking my 3 yr old. To see her she was observing him from when we first walked in. She was very nice and understanding I’m so glade that I was able to meet and find this doctor. Not only has she helped me with my son but her advice and input in what he does is of great value. My son suffers from ADHD and autism Dr. Sucoff offers many paths to take gives her best advice. Prescribes medication is one thing I know now that many don’t believe in these days but why struggle if you know that it will help your child improve in daily task or even for school. I’ve been struggling to get my child help for almost 3 yrs now when my son was a baby I new things would take a turn as for me they did. My son struggled as a baby from turning over to crawling and walking. I thought I wouldn’t ever find a doctor who could hear me out and listen to what I have to say. But when I heard about this Monica Sucoff I thought no maybe it’ll be another slap on the back or a door shut in the face. But NO she listened to every word I had to say to every thing my son has done behavioral wise his issues in learning. We had such a wonderful visit/discussion of my son. That we are going to be trying medication for him yes he may be young and others may go against it but look at the bright side it’s not that we want to drug them up but we want to help our children succeed in life. Dr. Suchoff took her time during my child's evaluation, she was genuine and very knowledgeable. She took the time to listen to my concerns, and anything I had to share about how my child during our daily activities. She gave me great information to look out for, for when my child gets older.

My Daughter has been a patient since she was about four years old (will be 7 this year). Staff have always been friendly, fast, and very helpful. Office is always clean and tidy. We have never waited more than an hour to be seen and Dr. Suchoff takes the time to hear what the parent has to say and to explain anything that you do not understand. When we first started she provided medication and no medication options. She did not make me feel obligated to chose one over the other like a lot of doctors like to do. Thanks to her, my daughter can just be herself and not feel like she isn’t in control of her actions and thoughts. For the past 3 yrs Dr. Suchoof has helped my son with his ADHD. She provided me with books to understand his DX. I am very greatfull and thankful to say today my son is doing better. I disagreed with the suggestion to give my 4 year old Prozac after our very first visit. I am going to be driving further out to see other developmental pediatricians. It's a shame that there aren't any more in El Paso. I would like to add that it was very difficult to secure our appt. They didn't call to verify our insurance until the day of our first appt. I get that it was just after the new year, but still. We had made that appt months in advance. My husband has insurance through the electrician's union and it's a bit different than other types, I suppose. Long story short, we weren't able to be seen that day and we live on the far east side of town. We did get in eventually, but-like I said- with some difficulty. Dr. Suchoff was incredible. She took her time to get to know my son and I. I felt she really cared about what I was saying. Not once did she seem uninterested or judgmental. She was patient with my son. I left that office better equipped for what's ahead.

Horrible experience. Felt rushed and Dr is so cold. Not sure she even likes children.
