Update to previous review: Family member got a phone call today from Dr’s medical assistant saying she had given INCORRECT INSTRUCTIONS for medication use. In fact, instructions were given not by doctor, not by medical assistant in room, but by third, unidentified staff member. This just further demonstrates how rushing patients through, not listening or allowing time to ask/answer questions can result in errors.

I have been going to Dr. Heskel for many years, I'm over 80 and been to many MD's in my life. This facility is far above the rest, the staff and Dr. Are very professional and EXCELLENT at what they do. The facility is the cleanest I've ever seen and I have never had to wait past my appt. time. I'm thankful to be one of their patients.

I was highly satisfied with the quality of Dr Heskel’s surgery skills. All of my issues were treated successfully. His office is well organized, compassionate and professional. Appointments were timely and I was not subjected to excessive visits that run up the bill.

Dr. Heskel is a consummate professional. His bedside manner is excellent, and he puts you right at ease. He explains everything before treatment. I had the "blue-light treatment" done for pre-cancerous cells on my face. The difference is remarkable! It's like having brand new skin, with all of my dark spots and scaly red spots removed. This is all damage that was done by the sun in my teenage years. I trust Dr. Heskel with my skincare! Also, his office and staff are clean and respectable. Highly recommended!

Terrible exam, he dresses in what looks like a Hazmat suit and is afraid to come near you. Find a real dermatologist.

Dr. Heskel is knowlegeable and helpful with skin conditions. I have been a patient for over five years. His assistant removed several skin tags for me, and it was painless. The office staff are super efficient and friendly. I would recommend Dr. Heskel to anyone who is looking for a dermatologist.

After a year of trying skin doctors, allergists and eye doctors to find an answer for my dry, itching eyelids, a friend recommended I try Dr. Heskel. In three days my eyelids were back to normal. Such a simple solution!

First and last time! Annual skin cancer exam took him about 10 seconds- 5 sec for each side. He didn't look at my head, ears, feed at all. He didn't use any light or dermatoscope like other doctors did.. He didn't look closely at one area which was previously treated either. Terrific Doctor!

Had a growth that turned out to be a rare cancer. dr Heskel removed it painlessly.

I'm possibly still alive today because of Dr. Haskell. I had melanoma and he quickly took action. He has always shown care and concern for me. I highly recommend his professionalism to anyone .

Waste of time. He barely looked at me, provided no real help or guidance to someone who could help. He didn’t even wrap my wound for me. I don’t recommend at all.

Have been with Dr. Heskell for 7-8 years. Always professional, approachable and explains all issues. He treated my mycosis fungoides (a rare lymphoma) and it has been in remission for four years now. More recently, successfully removed a skin melanoma.

I went in to see Dr. Heskel about a bothersome growth on my eyelid. I was quite nervous, but the doctor and his assistant made quick job of removing it while making me feel comfortable throughout. Polite, professional and great results. This would have been enough for my recommendation but is was also preceded by short waiting room wait!

Dr. Heskel removed a basal cell carcinoma three weeks ago, and I went for my follow-up yesterday. The procedure went well as well as the follow-up visit. He is a caring doctor and I put my trust in him. My husband and I have been patients of his for almost 20 years and we are very satisfied with his care.

This was a follow up with Dr Heskel For a Basil cell growth on my face. I chose to have him close the wound rather than a plastic surgeon and I made a good choice. He did an awesome job!

Whole office seems depressed. Doctor had zero interest in being there. Complete waste of time and then he tried to bill me $84.00 beyond my cop-pay despite him being a direct provider under my insurance

Dr. Heskel and his staff head up a superlative dermatology office. And I should know because I have had over a dozen different dermatology doctors in my 50 years of various skin disorders and cancer issues. You can tell that by the way he listened to my history before making a decision on my latest treatment. He gave me a Blue Light Photodynamic Therapy treatment and it worked so well that my wife said my face looked better than it has for the last ten years. His staff is on the ball, his assistants know what to do and his demeanor is calm, cool, collected and experienced. I highly recommend his services.

Dr Heskel took the biopsy sample and later removed to skin cancer. Over the years he has done this 3 or 4 times. For facial wounds after surgery he gives the treatment options and, if I chose, refers me to an excellent plastic surgeon who applies stitches that same day. He has also been very attentive to non-cancerous issues. I trust his judgement and ability and will not hesitate to remain his patient.

Yes dr Heskel is very helpful for my many skin cancer issues . He can do the usual identify and , biopsy and “ freeze “ cancers and surgery as well His office also has a blue light photo therapy procedure that really improved the skin on my face ! Very little discomfort or down time .. and covers by my insurance His staff is very friendly , professional and “ safe” during this pandemic Also a calm peaceful environment , not a circus like some other places I will be returning I recommend him to anyone with skin problems !

I have been seeing Dr. Heskel for over 20 years by way of a recommendation of a friend. He is an excellent doctor. His staff is very friendly and they always call to set up an appointment so you don't let the time get away from you. I trust him because he only does what is necessary. He has a lot of experience and I hope he will continue to work for many more years. Now with Covid going on his staff is very careful. They check your temperature upon arrival. Only have a few chairs in waiting room that can be disinfected. The staff not only wears a mask, but also a face shield. The rooms smelled extremely clean but not irritating if you have allergies. You could tell the office has been scrubbed and disinfected. Don't be afraid to go if you need to . Skin issues are important.

I was treated for skin surgery (basil cell) on my nose, which had previously had other major surgical procedures in prior years. The area treated by Dr. Heskel was difficult to reach, but he managed to remove all the cancer, leaving scarcely any scaring. I was very impressed and grateful. I have visited Dr. Heskel for many years, and have always been so delighted with his skill and thoroughness that I highly recommend his service.

We just moved to Florida and needed a Dermatalogist since I had this itching on my arms but no rash . Dr Heskel was wonderful and found what the problem was and prescribed medication to help my problem. Just in a few weeks the itching was under control. Thank you so much Dr Heskel . Also his staff was great, friendly and helpful and the appointment were on time, very little wait. In addition my husband had a dry scalp condition and dry skin that doctors in CT could not cure. My husband saw Dr Heskel and he knew exactly what it was and treated him . In three weeks my husband scalp was cleared and his skin looks normal. In addition we showed Dr Heskel a cyst he has and Dr said not to fool around with it if not bothering him. I've been seeing Dr. Heskel for about 5 years. He and his staff are always attentive and are truly concerned about my health. I have had 2 in-office skin cancer surgeries that were successful and relatively painless. As a lifelong Floridian, I need an excellent Doctor of Dermatology and I have found that in Dr. Heskel. This man is also a humanitarian. He supports and uses his skills at a Haiti medical clinic. I'm certainly impressed and I recommend Dr. Heskel.

Visiting to FL. Needed MOHS surgery. Doctor Heskel scheduled me promptly. Surgery was quick and painless. Complete healing took a couple months as he predicted.

I had been dealing with constant itching skin for many months to the point that sleeping was an issue, but due to other circumstances in my life, I was unable to do something about it. As soon as I was able, I called Medicare to make sure my visit to any dermatologist would be covered, and at that time was given a list of several doctors in my area, one of which was Dr. Heskel. After calling 4 other doctors on that list and finding out they were not available for at least 6 mos., did not accept Medicare assignments, or never retd. my call, finally Dr. Heskel's office not only answered, but made me an appt. for the next day, accepted Medicare, he was able to diagnose me, provide me with prescriptions to help me, and did not charge an arm and a leg for my office visit and exam. He and his staff were very pleasant to deal with during both my initial visit and subsequent follow up visit. I have no hesitations about recommending Dr. Heskel to anyone who needs a dermatologist.
