I had a great experience today! Dr. Landy is a great Doctor but I gotta say the ladies in the office are real deal and reason enough to visit this practice! Juanita is the dental assistant and she is a hoot and fun to be around. Anna took my referral and gave her full attention to me and worked me in the schedule when I was having pain. Elizabeth met me at the front desk when I arrived for my first appointment and we had friendly conversation before my appointment started. I have been a patient of Dr. Landy’s for a while now, and recently had to bid him and his team farewell as I will be moving out of the area. Every appointment I had at his office was a pleasant experience where I was made comfortable before, during and after dental procedures. On my last appointment, Dr. Landy took the time and consideration to research reputable periodontists in the area I will be moving to. Dr. Landy and Ana, a Dental Hygienist I wish I had known all my life, are wonderful. I came in due to gum recession, and Dr. Landy provided a gum graft to help prevent continued recession. After the successful surgery, I called the office whenI realized I must have swallowed the protective covering placed on it in my sleep - and Dr. Landy called back shortly after to assure me that was nothing to worry about. I had no idea there are hygienists as incredible as Ana. She actually takes the time each appointment to show me the best brushing and flossing techniques. She has such attention to detail, dedication, and is a true professional who is both thorough and compassionate with her tools. I wish I had known her and Dr. Landy all my life - and I may have not had gum recession (due to brushing too hard) in the first place. But I am so grateful I met them when I did. I first came to this office a few months ago. My primary dentist gave me his information and told me I could follow up with him for an issue I was having. Of course I looked him up online to see what type of reviews he had. I was happy to see that he had good reviews. Unfortunately due to the issue I was having, I had to have a tooth pulled...I’ve never had any major dental work in my life, so this was a really nerve wrecking issue for me...well I just had my tooth pulled and I was nervous for nothing....the pain to numb the area was minimal and the whole process just went as smoothly as possible...Juanita and the woman who works at the front desk are both super pleasant and Dr. Landy was great. Dr. Landy a true professional highly skilled. I would refer my friends and family. I have known Dr. Landy over a decade. He has been in the Virginia Beach area keeping beautiful smiles on his patients and doing this painless as possible. I have always been afraid of dentist. Interactions with anyone in dentistry filled me with fear and anxiety. I've been seeing Dr Landy for the past few years. He explains everything that is/will be going on with your treatment. As well as ensuring your comfort is not compromised. I certainly hope that when I relocate after retirement, I'm able to find a periodontist with his talent. Thank you Doc and your entire office staff!

Dr. Landy and his staff are fantastic. I've had two gum tissue grafts with him. When issues arose with my insurance company the first time around he was very accommodating, took care of the extra paper work, and assured me it wouldn't cost me any more out of pocket than what I had expected. I am so happy with my new smile. I actually wished for Christmas, is for my new front teeth and Dr Landy made it happen. Everyone commented on how straight and white my teeth are. I also heard that my smile lights up the room now. It was a long process but well worth it. I appreciate Dr Landy and his wonderful staff: Wauneta and Joyce they are all wonderful and great people and so easy to talk to. I was frustrated at first because of the fear of the unknown but Dr Landy explained anything and everything I asked, and he explained it in plain English terms that I could understand. He let me know of prices so I had no big shock. He is a very real kind of person and he should be commended for that. He worked super close with my family dentist and they made it all happen. I feel whole again. I would recommend Dr Landy to the world and I can back up what I say with a new beautiful smile. Also he doesn’t just forget about you after it is done he follows up to see how you are doing and the future plan all the while working with my family dentist. Dr. Neil A. Landy is extremely condescending & patronizing. He is the type of person who attempts to insult you or your 'kind' in subtle ways. He is unwilling to engage in any hypothetical conversation to ease your mind or allow you to educate yourself with his knowledge. I can't speak of his work b/c I walked out on him after he said "Keep It Simple Stupid" (KISS). I won't pay him to be insulted & there is no reason for me to believe that his attitude towards other people "in my class" will change in the near future. I have been a patient of Dr Landy for over two years. He is really good at what he does – although oral surgery does not rank high on my list of fun things, Dr Landy made the process go as easily as anyone could expect. I also go back four times a year to have a cleaning – I would not go anywhere else.
