Doctor Tucker very good
Dr Tucker treated my daughter for her esophageal ulcer when she was 3 yr old. He had the best bedside manners. He was kind, thorough and attentive to our complaints. We are forever grateful for his kindness and ability to properly treat her conditions.
I was Dr. Tucker’s first patient ever. He was still in medical school and was the only pediatric gastroenterologist in our area. He had the worst bedside manner. I was a small child (genetics). He constantly threatened me with tube feeding and further invasive testing as a scare tactic to get me to eat more. It literally made me more sick to my stomach to go to his appointments. We had a wonderful experience. My son needed an urgent appointment. They were able to fit us in that next week. All others were booked through November. Not a long wait and he was so sweet. Was very happy with this Doctor and office.
We haven't even seen the doctor yet and I needed to come on here and complain. He's been waiting two hours and all that's been accomplished is having my stepson's vitals checked.. I get that there's a wait in doctor offices, but this is absurd. Should've read the reviews before coming here or at the very least not made any other plans for the day. Do better. Dr. Tucker basically saved my son's life. When no one knew wat was going on he was able to find the problem and treat it. He takes time with each of his patients.
It's been many years since our beautiful daughter was a patient of Neil Tucker who I refuse to call a doctor. It has taken me over 10 years to have enough strength to share my story. Mr. Tucker performed a procedure on our daughter which resulted in horrific results. I wish I could share a photo here. He caused my daughter 3rd degree burns during a basic g-tube change procedure where she had minimal granulation tissue. According to the records, he used over 13 Silver Nitrate sticks on my daughter which should have never been done. I consider this man despicable and should not be practicing medicine! Due to my daughter's G-tube, it was incredibly important, yet challenging for my wife to have our daughter learn how to take minimal feeds by mouth. When we shared this with Mr. Tucker, he responded by saying "just feed her high calorie formula by g-tube, then there would be no reason to feed by mouth." This man is a monster and should not be practicing medicine.
Dr Tucker is awesome. He is very knowledgeable, best bedside manner. He was my sons Dr from age 10 to 20. He fights for you with the insurance companies. His staff can be frustrating at times. But if you stay on top of them the overall experience will be good. We have moved out of state.. Dr Tucker is soooo missed.
I HOPE PEOPLE LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR OR THEIR CHILDREN READ THIS AND LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR HELP!! I remember this quack. My Crohn's Disease went misdiagnosed for THREE years from the ages of 13-16 (1996-2000). All he kept putting me on were horse pills for stomach ulcers. Yes I had some but they cleared up but I was still getting sick and worsening over time. He even said early on, "It might be Crohn's Disease but at your age it's unlikely." He never seemed to take what I had to say seriously. He was very dismissive of my complaints of continuing pain, nausea and vomiting. Once the ulcers were gone and I was still in a lot of pain, I got the impression that he did not believe that I was in that much pain. THREE years of that. Finally my mother'd had enough and begged the Orthopedic Surgeon she worked for to find another Gastroenterologist who knew what he was doing. At the time "Dr" Tucker was the only Pediatric Gastroenterologist in San Antonio Texas, so There was nowhere else to turn. The surgeon my mother worked for asked a colleague of his to see me as a favor as that doctor and the office had a general rule to not see anyone under the age of 18. I was 16 at the time. It's safe to say Dr. GUERRA saved my life. What "Dr" Tucker could not do in THREE YEARS, Dr. Guerra did in TWO WEEKS! He'd said that it looked like Crohn's Disease but he, of course, needed to run some tests to be sure. With the usual battery of tests done, within two weeks of my first visit to Dr. Guerra, he diagnosed me with Crohn's Disease. But the damage had already been done. Three years, leaving the inflammation of my small bowel had built up scar tissue, so while the treatments Dr. Guerra had me on took the edge off the pain, because of all the scar tissue, I was in constant agonizing pain. Because of this so-called "Doctor" Tucker, I had to have a small bowel resection at the age of 19 because by then, six years after I first started having symptoms, the scar tissue had built up so much it caused a complete obstruction in my small intestine which required me to have 26 inches of it cut out. BY that point I had been in hospital almost 4 months, the entire time without food, relying only on TPN to keep me from starving to death. My health was so poor that they informed me they would have the ICU ready for me because they did not expect me to "make it". Well, I woke up in recovery rather than the ICU as I did far better than Dr. Guerra or the surgeon, Dr. Heliodoro Boone (A renowned surgeon in the US) expected me to. I even stood up on my own less than 20 hours later. Safe to say Dr. Guerra and Dr. Boone saved my life. Because of those first three years under "Dr" Tucker's "care", I have had complication after complication . Everything negative health-wise can be traced back to "Dr" Tucker's incompetence. It really means something when speaking to Dr. Guerra and his Nurse Practitioner at my last appointment (he's been my Doctor for 20 years now) and they asked me who my Gastroenterologist had been before I saw Guerra, and when I named "Dr" Tucker, they both rolled their eyes and said they were glad that quack had been pretty much run out of San Antonio. You don't often hear doctors saying that kind of stuff about other doctors unless said doctor is absolutely terrible at what they do. When I first went to see "Dr" Tucker, I weighed over 250 pounds, when I finished the 8th grade. By the time I started my Freshman year of High School, I weighed 170 pounds. I lost that much weight over JUST A SUMMER VACATION, but he claimed it was just ulcers! How can any doctor screw up so badly?! Dr. Guerra saved my life, after "Dr." Tucker nearly killed me. It has been 20 years and I am still furious at him. A failed engagement, the inability to hold down a job, or even leave the house most days. They can all be traced back to those first three years when even drinking water was agony. "Dr" Tucker had claimed that because I had been 13/14 years old at the time, it was "unlikely" that I had Crohn's Disease. Well it's EXACTLY what I had. I HOPE PEOPLE LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR OR THEIR CHILDREN READ THIS AND LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR HELP!! … More
My experience isn’t that bad he could be more on top of putting in orders He WANTS you to have but overall it is ok
Dr. Tucker and his staff did a wonderful job with my son.
They deserve 0 stars! Absolutely horrible service!
He made my child nervous and left her crying, he could care less about the patients, and is more interested in telling stories about his personal life. TO LONG OF A WAIT AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!
If I could I would give Dr.Tucker no stars because he neglected me and falsely diagnosed me with IBD/colitis but I never had it. I had an infection from my pet snakes but because it was Improperly the infection got worse, spread and now I have Crohn’s disease. I am 12 years old and put my trust in this doctor for the past year, and didn’t get any better. This is not ok!!!!! Leslie is the Best, Great staff.
Love Dr. Tucker. Diagnosed my teenager and helped him understand his condition. Very friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend.
He is a very good doctor. You can tell that he love what he does. The waits are kind of long, but once he comes into the room his energy make you forget you was upset about the wait. I trust my child under his care.
Dr Tucker is a compassionate and very educated man who cares about his patients. My son has been helped tremendously from him and no other doctor was able to help.
Very nice staff but the wait is way to long. Wait is over 2 hours. Even the followup was more than 2 hours
The staff here are completely and utterly disrespectful and unprofessional. They could care less about the patients, and as a patient I know this all too well. There was even a time my medication was screwed up because of the staff and that left me in a complete crisis with my illness. Thank god I am no longer pediatric!
Dr. Is amazing. If you have to go do not go to the Weston office. Front desk do not care if you have an appointment. Was there for more than two hours and patients that came later than me saw the doctor first because they knew the front desk person. The other office was great. If my daughter needs another appointment I will go to the office in Ft. Lauderdale. Dr. Is amazing. If you have to go do not go to the Weston office. Dr Tuker is very good dr
No waiting time. Clear instructions. Great and knowledgeable doctor. Listened very well.
I really didn't have a problem with Dr. Tucker, he was nice and informative. However, I can't give him a good rating because of the completely unprofessional treatment I experienced with his office staff. I still have not received a return phone call from the doctor and it's been over a week. Yet, I spoke with his office staff several times but they evidently did not give him the message to call me. The written instructions I received were not the same information he told me in the office and I simply needed clarification and dosage information. The person I spoke with who answered the phone had the audacity to tell me that as a mother, I should have the instincts to stop a medication if it isn't working. Of course, I did, that is why I was calling to speak to the doctor! Instead I received rudeness and condescending "advice" from someone who answers the phones. I went to Dr. Tucker because my son was having stomach issues. The wait time was always long but I excused it because Dr.Tucker is the type of doctor that spends time with you, doesn't rush to get you out. I soon realized though that they are money hungry. After prescribing him meds, two weeks later when my son still was not well I called for them to change his meds. They wanted me to bring him in which is ridiculous considering they just saw him the week before for test results. When I talked to a friend of mine that is a doctor she stated that the dosage of the meds my son was prescribed was too high and that is why he is probably still having issues. Needless to say I have switched my son to another doctor. I went to Dr. Tucker because my son was having stomach issues. Although wait times are not fun for this dr, what other doctor do you know that works at 6:00pm on a Friday night? I don't know any. he has always been wonderful with my daughter and patient and forthcoming with his information. I think he's a compassionate, caring doctor
I cannot express how unhappy I am with this Dr. We waited two hours with no apology.
He was great with my son and he is a friendly doctor. Doesn't make you feel like he is in a rush to see you and get you out. He takes his time with his patients.
He was kind, comprehensive and we never felt rushed- patiently answered questions about our daughter's condition. His staff was excellent also. You may end up waiting a little bit but his thoroughness is what takes a little longer and he provides that care for everyone so be happy about it
Outstanding staff and Doctor. My child was sick and needed to see a doctor right away. Office staff called me back when there was a cancellation. Very knowledgable Doctor. Good bed manners
Horrible experience today waited 1.5 hr in the waiting wood and another 1 hr in the examination room it's now 6:30p and are leaving without being seen. I hope they don't think I'm letting my insurance pay for this visit.
Dr. Tucker is amazing! I've been suffering with Ulcerative Colitis for 5 years (I am 15 now) and for the first 4 years was seeing a different GI. In those 4 years, they did nothing to help me. Since I have started seeing Dr. Tucker in March of 2015, he has helped me tremendously. He has fought with my insurance company for me, tried many different treatments, and given me hope that I will obtain remission. Yes, his office wait is long but it is so worth it. He really cares about his patients!
Excellent doctor!
