I had an accident for the skills hall and I wound up cutting my thumb off. Dr Jenkins was the surgeon. And let me just say that I am so very happy with his performance and skills and his all around attitude and professionalism! I haven't not had any problems as far as antibiotics medicine for the pain and discomfort this man is a lobster Even if I do not get to keep my my thumb I know that this man did everything he could for me and I will continue to thank God that he was able to be my doctor he's very understanding patient and gentle when it comes to changing the bandages so if you have him as your plastic surgeon or for any reason then you have truly been blessed I had an accident for the skills hall and I wound up cutting my thumb off. I have had 3 surgeries performed by Dr. Jenkins, carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. The 3rd surgery was done this past Thursday, September 19 on my wrist of my right hand. Dr. Jenkins is a great Dr, always very friendly and he takes the time to explain everything to you in a way that is easy to understand the problem. I would recommend Dr. Jenkins to anyone having problems with their hands or wrists. Thanks Dr. Jenkins for 3 surgeries well done. I had taken my daughter to two other surgeons (a general surgeon and a plastic surgeon.) about reconstructive surgery for a scar from a abdominal surgery done at her birth where part of her bowl had to be removed. As she grew and is now graduating high school the scar has become more problem - hurting and getting repeat infections. Neither surgeons had mentioned seeing any possible complications. Dr. Jenkins was recommended by my sister, at the initial visit Dr. Jenkins immediately realized that due to the nature of her surgery at birth, there could be other issues to be addressed in the surgery. He ordered a CT Scan and sure enough she had hernias and some other issues. I am so grateful that Dr. Jenkins was so thorough! Doing this surgery without knowing of these other issues could have caused major complications. Although, the actual surgery is now being done at Duke University Med Ctr., I credit Dr. Jenkins for taking the extra step to make sure my daughter had the medical care she needed. Dr.Jenkins is very nice, thorough , gives you options & doesnt pressure for you to do surgeries. i felt very comfortable with him & his expertise & his advise on my hands & fingers .
