Professional and knowledgeable

Everyone was friendly, courteous, and professional. I especially appreciate Dr. Gerken.

like Dr. Gerken. He's on top of his A game! The only thing I didn't like was the wait to see him.

All the staff is great! Dr Gerken is so kind and spends a lot of time with his patients answering questions and concerns.

Dr.Gerken has always spent time explaining any issue I have visited him for .He is a caring physician who does not rush you in and out for a visit . Thank goodness I have Dr Gerken caring for my body aches and pains !

Dr. Gerken fixed both knees. Right one total knee replacement surgery about 3 moths ago and it is doing great. He's a very kind Dr. Left knee replacement was end of 2021, it's doing great.

Dr Gerken is very personable as well as knowledgeable. He explained my surgery and recovery so that I understood the entire procedure. He also addressed all of my concerns.

Dr. Gerken is one the Best ortho doctors I've seen in a very long time! He is one of the nicest, kindest, and a person with empathy who really listens to you and never rushes you. I would highly recommend him to anybody with bone problems. It has really been hard these days to find a good doctor such as him.

Dr. Gerkin did emergency surgery on my knee that was severely broken. He did an amazing job as I had very minimal pain and healed perfectly. He has great bedside manner and is very personable. I highly recommend him!

✋????Do NOT come to this orthopedic office. Today after waiting over TWO HOURS to be seen again, I limped out and will not go back to this office again. So after two hours I’m finally brought back to a room where my vital signs are taken. No acknowledgement of or apology for making me and everyone else in the waiting room needlessly wait so long. Then I’m just waiting and waiting again. A nurse finally comes in to tell me that they can’t find the MRI’s of my knees. I tell the nurse that this happened at my previous two appointments as well. How do you not have them again, I asked. After going to look for them, she returned to start asking me where I had them done. I left. In addition to this, after my last two knee injections I was not safe to walk to my car. Not one person in the office offered to wheel me out to my car.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Gerken. I highly recommend him.

We had to wait more than two hours to see him. I was very impressed with the Dr. But, then things went downhill. The girl who schedule surgeries does not return my calls. I left messages 4 times. But, she does not call back. So how am I suppose to have a surgery without a date. The Dr. Told me they will find me Cardiologist for clearance for the surgery. The same girl, Summer was suppose to do that to. I haven’t been able to connect with her to do anything. I don’t know how to connect with the Dr. To let him know what is going on. Very Very frustrated!

I was very impressed with Dr. Gerkin during my initial visit. He was very proactive in his diagnosis and immediately began treatment for my medical needs. My hip and back have been a chronic problem for over a year and i have had many tests and doctors. This is the first time I have felt confident that there will be improvement. Also worthy of mention are Tanya, Krystal, Destiny, Dominique,and the other receptionist (sorry can't remember her name).it's true what they say about first impressions. By far the worst surgery and aftercare process I've ever experienced ????. Fair surgeon but clueless on his business practices and little effort made to correct. Find a way to find a better and more organized surgeon. You're welcome ????.

I have been in pain for a month or so. I was nervous about finding out what the problem was with my knee. Ms. Dominique and Angela was so sweet. Made me feel comfortable when I walked in the office. Ms. Crystal and Dr. Gerken's nurse are also sweet. Dr. Gerken is amazing, made me feel comfortable and made me understand what is happening with my knee. I highly recommend Dr. Gerken. ???? Hands down one of the best joint reconstruction surgeons ???? Thank you Dr Gerken for the best total right hip reconversion I can finally walk again pain free and balanced in almost 3 years ????

Dr Gerken rectified my condition after a failed hip pinning operation in 2019. He reconstructed my right hip perfectly and lengthened my leg to replicate my left side. I am so pleased with the results and eternally grateful for his excellent surgical care.

Dr. Gerken is a fabulous doctor who has totally replaced my left knee. After the initial six weeks, I did not require any physical therapy. I was not in good shape prior either, as one might imagine. I was an alcoholic addicted on and off to pain pills for close to 20 years. Under his care, God has his hand on Dr. Gerken, I was delivered from both addictions without any treatment/therapy! His genuine concern for his patients and his humble care to know the whole person is something I have never experienced in 65 years. I have more work to be done and trust him completely. I may not always have the level of undeniable success with the first surgery, but know that I am in the most capable, caring hands. Dr. Nicholas Gerken and his staff have been outstanding since day 1. At 6 weeks post op from total knee replacement surgery at NIX Downtown Hospital I am doing as good or even better than I ever dreamt! My mobility is strong, way more advanced and I’m happy with my results!! Dr Gerken explained all my options, my case and my rehabilitation from day 1. I highly recommend Dr Nicholas Gerken!!

Dr Gerken and his staff were outstanding!! Their professionalism and patient care were superb.
