I have a very painful ankle and Dr. Midis, evaluated and diagnosed severe tendonitis in the joint, got me a stabilization boot and told me to rest the joint. I have an appointment in a month for review. Dr. Midis was very knowledgeable and professional.

Saw Dr. Midis at recommendation of his PA, Derrick Joyner who recognized I walked with a limp. Previous trimalleolar ankle fracture 2rs earlier required hardware. 1st surgeon, disregarded my pain since xrays indicated bones were healed. Derrick thought otherwise. My initial visit was surprisingly short, in/out quickly. Staff was friendly. Dr, Midis quickly diagnosed torn tendon(s). Surgery to remove hardware/tendon repair 3 mos later. JYI has been attentive, responsive, did what they said throughout entire process! Rx's was my only surprise. Unbeknownst to me they sbmtd Rx to CVS but they were not going to be avail for cpl days following surgery which is no bueno! During surgery prep RN asked if I had them filled. Husband had to jump thru hoops while I was in surgery to get it done. Surgical Ctr Staff was great and all Post ops visits have all been good. Casting was easy, removal even better and all directions clear. Now looking fwd to PT and walking soon! Thanks to all!

Dr Midis manages to listen, examine, recommend solution options along with where they can be found. His expertise makes this happen comprehensively and quickly. I am so grateful to have found this doctor who has helped me and will continue to in the future.

Dr. Midis, and the entire staff are fantastic. There is an extremely professional atmosphere, but everyone always has a pleasant attitude. Do I like going to Jordan Young, heck no. But, I always leave feeling less stressful and confident my medical issue is in the hands of the best doctors in the area.

I have consulted Dr. Midis twice about a foot surgery. He's forthcoming with the information needed to understand all aspects of the procedure. He has a wonderfully friendly and open demeanor that instills trust and confidence. Everyone at JY is a best in class professional and a gift for those of us living in the Tidewater area.

I highly recommend Dr Midas! He is always willing to answer any questions you may have. He lays out a treatment plan so there are no surprises! His entire staff is great to work with.

Doctor Midas and all the staff at Jordan and Young are fantastic. My foot is getting better and better each day and the staff has had to help me so many times with insurance Problems that they're probably tired of hearing from me, but they've been super about getting anything I needed done.

Dr. Midis is a fantastic surgeon who is very respectful, kind and he listens to his patients! He has excellent bedside manners which is always a plus! But he is also very knowledgeable most importantly! I think both are imperative to a successful recovery! He took the essential steps and imaging/procedures that were necessary to clarify exactly what multiple issues I was experiencing. He truly cares about his patients and their well being, as surgeons/Physicians should. He's not like other physicians I've had experienced with at other practices that are clearly out to just make money. Dr. Midis took the time to show me the skeletal model to illustrate how he would proceed with the surgery, go over the timeline for recovery, the activity restrictions timeline and what to expect, as well as the prognosis. Dr. Midis and Derrick are excellent in what they do and are extremely competent and have great bedside manners to boot! He is an excellent and competent surgeon.

Dr. Midas is good. His assistant is a liar and doesn’t care for the patient. Be prepared to leave with no instructions for your care. Yes you will hurt. You call you will be ignored. Beware for you will be treated with no respect. Be prepared to still be in pain with no answers, and especially no respect. So wrong. Be prepared for for the run around for answers. I would not wish this on anyone.

Very happy with all the doctors that I have seen at Jordan and young. Dr. Midis has been great in helping me deal with my issues with my foot and leg. I like it that he is trying to prevent me from having surgery when I'm sure there are doctors out there that would want you to have surgery.

Dr Midis did surgery on my ankle in February, every visit after has been great. He has always listened to me and addressed all my concerns. Derrick his PA has also been great. Seen very promptly ever visit.

Dr. Midas saw me for bruised ankles. Although nothing looked abnormal, he didn’t hesitate to give me the best care and service for my issue. Dr. Midas is attentive, kind, and funny, making the environment professional yet comfortable. I would highly recommend him for any of your foot care needs.

Easy to get an appointment. The main issue was he had studied my chart the evening before my first appointment. I’m still waiting for the surgery date but he is preparing in case the injury is more severe than it appears on the X-rays and MRI. It’s nice to have a provider who truly listened to my concerns and adequately answered each concern without putting me down for asking.

Dr. Midis performed a fusion of several joints above my foot arch and the entire procedure went smoothly with hardly any pain involved. He listened to my surgery concerns and suggested alternative ways so I would be comfortable. After 8 weeks in a cast I couldn't be more satisfied with the results and so happy to be able to walk again. I would gladly recommend Dr. Midis and the Leigh Hospital staff for any foot or ankle issues.

Dr Midis was amazing throughout my entire treatment for a foot fracture. He did a surgical repair that feels great now and with physical therapy to rebuild my now weak foot and ankle (from extended non-use,) I'm finally back on my way to being myself again. Dr Midis and his team all have fantastic bedside manner. He and his PA listen and respond thoughtfully and in a way that is understandable. I hope I never have to go back to see him, but if I break something, he'll be my first choice, for sure!

Everything about the visit was exemplary. Dr. Midis was informative and clear as he answered my questions and laid out the diagnosis and treatment options. I’ve endured ankle pain for over ten years and have simply stood it rather than deal with uncaring and discourteous doctors and staff. But not this time. I left feeling heard and my ankle is better than it’s been in many years. My arthritis will certainly worsen in time and when it does I will go back to Dr. Midis at Jordan Young

Dr. Midis was very attentive to my concerns and spent a considerable amount of time explaining my options. He was personable, made me feel comfortable and seemed very knowledgable. I was pleased with the visit and would return.

I’ve been having post-op pain (4 months after foot surgery). Dr. Midis examined reviewed my x-rays, examined my foot and concluded that the pain is due to scar tissue. He injected it with a steroid and told me to wear my walking cast for a week, and then to come back for a follow up in a month.

I have been very happy with the care I received from Dr. Midis. He explained X-ray and MRI results. We talked about options for treatment. He answered all of my questions. When it was clear that I would need surgery, he was very good about telling me what to expect post-op. He explained the outcome of my surgery thoroughly with my husband. We have been very pleased with my care.

All went to plan, just great throughout, from the courtesy and vigilance of the young man first floor thanklessly checking temperatures before allowed to enter the waiting room to administration check in to of course the professional advice and sincerity of Dr. Midas. I am confident in the entire process and Dr. Midas certainly made all the difference to my health situation going forward.

I have had foot pain for several weeks. I was able to get an appointment as a new patient within a week. The facility was safe and compliant regarding Covid, the staff was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Midis was excellent. He listened to my experience, asked questions, showed genuine concern, explained the diagnosis clearly, and set me on the course to healing. I am very grateful.

Tendon damage and bone deposits

Had two nodes removed from ankle joint I’m center of joint. Also cleaned out arthritis around ankle. No problem after surgery. No pain what so ever. He did a good job

Dr. Midis fused bones in my foot. I’m still recovering but the surgery and first pre op appointment went well. I would not go anywhere else for foot or ankle surgery. Also, Dr Midis has exceptional staff working for him.

Dr.Midas was wonderful from the very beginning. His assistant Derek Joyner is also first class. Jordan Young is Blessed to have them on their staff. I highly recommend them both.

he did a fusion with plate and screws on the first MTP joint for me several years ago. I found him to be knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions I had both pre and post operatively. it is weird to have a fused big toe, but no pain and I am happy to have been able to return to my active lifestyle. If, God forbid, I needed surgery again I would not hesitate to return.

Excellent visit. Xrays revealed one issue and visual inspection revealed another (planter wart). Treatment of the wart was successful in eliminating pain almost immediately with continued personal care for the next few weeks. X-ray issue resolution will be longer term and procedures were explained in detail, including pros and cons of surgery. I'll be back for that one later!

Excellent - Dr. Midis explained my surgery clearly, and then responded to all of my subsequent questions promptly. The surgery went well, and every goal was reached in a timely manner as I proceeded down the road to recovery. Derek, the OA, was knowledgeable and listened to all of our concerns as well. An overall good experience, even though I could do without it!

I would highly recommend Dr Midis & his staff. Both the doctor & his PA, Derick, listened to my issues regarding my foot & thoroughly explained my treatment options. They also explained non-invasive options to me as well. I will be having the suggested surgery and Dr. Midis carefully explained the aftercare and what the follow up visits would entail. In addition he explained how any possible special concerns would be handled since this would be a revision surgery. (Since my original surgery was done in NY it was obviously done by a different doctor.) I feel confident that Dr. Midis and his staff will obtain the best results possible for me.

Dr. Midis is an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I suffered a severe injury to my lower leg and was seen by a different orthopedic surgeon and was given the run around. I decided to change doctors and made an appointment with Dr. Midis. He immediately diagnosed me and scheduled me for surgery. If it was not for him I may have lost my lower leg or worse. He is a great doctor and my wife and I are so thankful for his skills as a surgeon!!
