Yet again the Dr is out of office for extended period of time as in weeks AGAIN. This happens ALOT. Just a few months ago. LTakes a month to even get in when she’s even in the office. So much for same day appointment. Reception people VERY RUDE. Have seen her for many years and this is a pattern. If you need a Dr who is available then look else where. Not reliable healthcare provider as rarely in the office. Yet again I’m waiting TWO WEEKS for test results with no phone call. May need new Dr who is actually in office more than not. My family & I went in to see Nicholee for my free yearly preventative checkup offered through my insurance. She ended up charging us for office calls & other things we didn’t order or ask for & now my family is 100s of dollars in debt for services we never asked for, hours & hours on the phone with billing to still be getting bills in the mail. Avoid at all costs unless you want bogus charges & financial headaches! This dr is a con-artist just trying to drain your wallet. Update: it is now May and this still has not been resolved. In fact, the dr rebilled my insurance in a way where they won’t cover any of the services (retaliation??), so now I’m building my case for small claims court. This is unacceptable & I will not pay this bill. You can’t agree to offer preventative appointments and then add on services that aren’t covered. This is so unethical and immoral. I will see you all in court. Update: It is now August 2020. The office manager asked me not to take them to court as she recognized that it was their fault in poor billing, but then today, I get a call from another lady who said Its not their fault that they billed it wrong and I can "Deal with it with collections". So it looks like I will need to file a small claims against them AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS! SHE WILL ADD STUFF ON YOUR BILL THAT YOU DONT NEED AND THATS NOT COVERED AND THEN SLAM THE PHONE DOWN ON YOU AND SAY DEAL WITH IT. What kind of doctors office does this except one that engages in unethical and probably illegal practices. My next steps are to contact the licensing board and the courts. I consider it a divine blessing to have found such an excellent doctor!!!

Excellent physician, listens to patient concerns, researches options for solutions, follows up on calls post appointments. Just can’t ssy enough about the positive experiences we’ve had while under her care.

Dr. Theiss is an outstanding doctor. As many have mentioned she takes the time to listen and really strives to consider all your conditions and only prescribe what is really needed. She is empathetic, funny and caring. I feel so blessed to have found her 5 years ago and still be under her care. Dr. Theiss has been my PCP for three years. She always listens to me very carefully and goes the extra mile to look into any conditions or symptoms I am experiencing that are troubling me. She always refers me as needed to other specialists and tries to provide me with as much info as possible so that I can make decisions for my health. Not to mention she is hilarious, super personable, and always a joy to visit! I've referred my loved ones also and I am looking forward to staying under her care for years to come. One word to describe the injustice by Dr. Theiss & her nurse, "OUTRAGEOUS"! I went to her on 3-18-21 at 10:00 AM with a 9 out of 10 excruciating back pain. She saw the pain I was in & ordered a CT scan STAT, suspecting a kidney stone! I went to the Erie sight for the CT scan & Erie told me Dr. Theiss would call me within an hour, that was at 11:15 AM. WE drove to Boulder Hospital (just in case she instructed me to go there) I sat in my car & suffered for almost 4 more hours, with no one returning my calls. Finally, her nurse called me back & told me the wrong results of the CT scan! I went into the ER & was immediately admitted. Laying in the ER room Dr. Theiss nurse called again & stated there had been a "TYPO & the word NOT was left out of the CT report". I found out a few days later when I read the Radiology report that the on call Radiologist read my results within 5 minutes of my leaving the facility! The Radiologist narrated my results at 11:21 AM & at 11:41 AM called Dr. Theiss & discussed my results. There was NO typo, the word NOT was not left out of his report as the nurse FALSELY told me! I suffered in a 10 out of 10 pain, UNECSSARILY for hours as a result! Total incompetency!!!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Theiss’s for several years. I’ve sent multiple friends and family members to her as well. I’ve never had a more caring, compassionate and truly understanding Doctor, ever as I have with her. I’m so very fortunate that I’ve found her.

This doctor mis-billed my insurance and my free preventative labs charged me over 300$. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. They are just out to gouge you when you don't even need their services. I got a bill from Quest Diagnostics when I didnt ask for or need the bloodwork, but the DR made it seem like it was included in my insurance coverage.

I had a very disappointing and negative experience seeing Nicholee. I did not feel listened to and she seemed to be very rushed and impatient to end the visit. She did not address the concerns I had. Although I told her I had recent labs that all came back within normal limits she still did blood work that she said was standard and was suppose to be covered under the visit. She found that my vitamin D was a little low so charged me for the labs by changing the billing from preventative to diagnostic! I called her office to question this and left a message for her to call me back. She never did. My wife called again and they said we would not be charged but then I still got a bill for the blood work that I had told her I did not need! Dr.Theiss is a huge 'breath of fresh air'!???????? She is like what our doctors used to be. She cares, listens & has a jovial fun sense of humor. She always takes time to listen thoroughly, as well as to order beneficial tests to determine what our specialized needs might be. Our family had just about given up hope on finding a doctor like her again. We feel so blessed to have found her. We would be heartbroken if we ever lost her as our PCP! Begging for a call back while coughing up blood NOT FUN!! We called and BEGGED FOR HELP Thursday- my adult son began calling 2 days later because I was getting worse . Tuesday, I received a call from her office telling me to go to the hospital- the hospital instructed me to get a new primary care doctor. Dr Theias didn’t like that I told them the truth, she rarely calls back - you must beg. I was going in as a new patient and arrived on time for my appointment, but because I had to fill out paperwork they turned me away. It would have taken me about 5-10 minutes to fill out, but they didn’t even give me the chance. They said I had to come in 30 minutes prior to fill out paperwork for my appointment. I spent about 5 minutes talking to them trying to understand their rationale and to plead with them as the next appointment available wouldn’t be until 3 weeks later. I then filled out the paperwork within 10 minutes but they still cancelled my appointment. Doctors usually take about 5 to 10 minutes of waiting before they finally come into our room as well so I don’t understand how this would have impacted their day. I understand that the doctors want us to respect their time, but they need to respect our time as well and understand taking 2 hours out of our day for an appointment is sometimes impossible. The receptionists never even gave me the option to fill out paperwork prior to the appointment which would have been helpful. The medical system is so broken and I’m very disappointed. The office staff is beyond incompetent. I was going in as a new patient, running 10min behind and called the office to let them know. They said okay so I drove on in.. got there, said hello to a girl at the receptionist desk and was ignored.. took her 7 minutes to say hello back, I told her who I was and she said they had just cancelled my appointment.. I asked why because I had called and let them know I was running behind, her reply was no one made notes, you will have to reschedule.. I asked why it took her it took her so long to acknowledge me while I was just standing there and she said she had been on the phone, such a liar as I was in front of her the whole time and she did not say a word on the phone, just stared at her computer. I spent 15min arguing with them and could have had my paperwork filled out during that time, instead they kept saying you do not have time to fill out your paperwork and will have to reschedule.. Very disorganized office staff, lazy, big lack of internal communication and terrible customer service. Even if the Doctors are worth seeing their office staff is horrific. She is such a wonderful Doctor and great human being! My whole family has gone to Dr. Theiss for the past 12 or 13 years. She listens and truly cares about her patients and their well being. We are thankful to have her as our family physician.

I have NEVER had a more caring, thorough, respectful, mutual understanding relationship with a doctor here in Boulder, or anywhere else, ever!! I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful doctor and human being! Talk about bedside manner, she has the best! Above and beyond. I love how she respects the knowledge you have about your own body, and her willingness to respect what you have to say about whatever situation you may be dealing with, and her input on those situations, make total sense! I look forward to doctor visits again! Dr. Theiss cares. Simply put. She talks to you. She gets to know you. She doesn’t just refill a prescription... we talk about my overall health in general. It’s surprising these days. most doctors don’t take the time anymore to get to “know” their patients. I will forever go to Dr. Theiss . even if she is a Badger! lol ??

I cannot recommend Dr. Theiss more highly. If you are looking for a doctor who is professional, intelligent, curious, respectful, amiable, caring, compassionate, humorous when appropriate - and will both ask you questions and listen to your responses - she is the doctor for you!

She listens to you and believes you when you say 'something isn't right' even if you don't know what it is. She trusts that you understands your body and she works with you to fix it. She is also super kind, funny, and humble - an amazing human and fantastic doctor!

I worked as Dr. Theiss MA for 1 1/2 years. She is by far the most caring, nuturing doctor i have dealt with in my 25 years in the medical field. You are in amazing hands in her care. She will forever be my doctor nd friend.

Dr. Theiss is incredibly knowledgable, and has incredible bedside manner. I suffer from a rare disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and often I have to be in charge of my own care as most physicians haven't even heard of it, or have never had an EDS patient before. Dr. Theiss informed me she has treated others with EDS, and is even knowledgable about the latest studies and treatment options for those who suffer from EDS and related conditions. Having just recently moved back to my hometown of Boulder, after having lived out of state for 17yrs. I was in need of establishing care with a new PCP! After one visit w/ Dr. Theiss, she knocked it out of the ballpark! She is very professional but truly personable at the same time. I feel so blessed to have found such a stellar PCP ??

If you can actually get face-to-fafe time with her, she is great. However, the entire staff and seemingly every person she works with, make this clinic a place we will never visit again. Very sad! It is nearly impossible to schedule follow-ups within the suggested and within a reasonable time. I do not know if she is aware of this clinic's dysfunction. A terrible place to visit for any health concerns.

She is the best Doctor I have ever had. She is so caring and she will do whatever it takes to help her patients. I have been a patient for almost 10 years.

I had this health issue and I was wondering to couple of Drs for 3 -4 years but I was not helped much as expected. I found her googling around and visited her with my wife explaining my situation last year (2016). I must say, I had never seen such a kind and smart doctor in my life, although I am surrounded by many Drs as friends and in family. She is just THE BEST. I just cannot say in words how much I thank her and respect her because of the way she has been treating me. Thank you much!

Excellent doctor. Smart, attentive, and cares about people. Really engages herself in solving your problems. She is a good listener. She thinks the patient has information she can use, and doesn’t want to miss anything. I’ve been visiting her for about 3 years, for 26 months I saw her at her previous place of practice. I’m glad she left the previous place. It was part of a ginormous company, the same one that owns many of the hospitals, and I think the largest chain of clinics in Denver

Dr. Theiss is a doctor that truly cares about me and my health. She is a doctor that has supported me during the ups and downs of my health. I know when I see her, she will take my concerns seriously. We laugh together and she is compassionate during tough times. She is one of those very few doctors that touches your heart because she exemplifies all the characteristics an excellent doctor should have; no one can replace her!

My experience with Dr. Theiss was exceptional. She was very attentive, extremely personable and very engaged. She took her time talking to me and getting a good sense of my medical needs. She was very knowledgeable and offered options and a clear plan of treatment. She is always immediately responsive when communicating via My Chart. The best PCP I have ever had.

Dr Theiss is the best. We followed her from Carbon valley to her new location, we are so glad we did. She is very detail oriented and thorough.

Dr. Theiss has been my family physician for over 8 years. She is always warm and kind, and genuinely cares about me and my health. From recommending weight loss tips, to helping me through a horrible migraine by conducting the exam in low light conditions to help alleviate the light sensitivity, to being sure I'm ready for international travel, she's done it all! I am so very thankful to have found her. Most people can't say this about his/her doctor, but Dr. Theiss is the absolute best!
