Dr. Nidagalle Gowda

No compassion, customer orientation, or professionalism. At the intake meeting for my teenager, he did not allow me to double check coverage with my insurance company. Being new to the whole psychiatry process, I was feeling quite uncomfortable and very overwhelmed at his rushed and impersonal way of proceeding with the intake. Instead of saying that he understands that the process can be very overwhelming for new patients/families, and that I should find out my information and call him back when I am ready, he told me that I should have known better and that he would bill my insurance company for the hour he had reserved for us (we were 15 minutes into the session at this point). I am now waiting for my insurance bill for having been an overwhelmed and confused parent. I have never experienced this blatant level of MONEY FOCUSED mindset of a doctor interacting with a prospective patient. Wow. I do NOT recommend.

Save your time and please find another doctor. He is extremely rude, will not let you speak during the meeting, and is very aggressive. During my appointment, he was looking at another screen the whole time and would interrupt the meeting to listen to voicemails. He discounted my experience and symptoms. He said I was lying when I was just describing recent experiences. Truly am shocked reading reviews describing him as “caring”. Even during introductions, he was dismissive and curt. His actions and conduct were unprofessional and aggressive that I literally was thrown in shock. Additionally, he was in no ways thorough in discussing any of my symptoms. Many times, it felt as if I was pouring my heart out and he was tuning everything out. He asked exactly zero follow up questions and made no effort to lead the discussions. I approached him despite the negative reviews with an open mind but unfortunately, the poor behavior and attitude described in other reviews are very true.

Listened to my situation and was careful not to prescribe unnecessary meds..took a slower and steady approach to looking at the meds and what they do

If I could leave negative stars I would. Did not show respect..was ignorant of my prescription situation insisting that I can't get named brand on my insurance (i have been getting it authorized for years) bullishly put my prescription through anyway so I can't get my insurance to pay for proper name brand prescription..then he refused to listen to the severe side effects of almost passing out which I got from an inferior form of generic meds I take and after initially telling me to go ask for the other (which can;t be done unless he calls in anotehr prescription and he should know this being a psychiatrist) he refused to call in the refill so i could pay out of pocket and get the med i needed..after his staff assured me he would call it in he simply refused to call me or the refill in at all..he knew I didn't have any more meds and didn't care enough to pick up the phone and call it in..most incompetent psychiatrist I have been to and his staff are not much better...

He is a forgetful person. He tells us that he will send the documents but he never does. Dr. Gowda is very rude and has no manners. He prescribes medicine that does not help at all. I do not recommend him to anyone. He is a rip off and a complete jerk.

I have been treated by Dr. Gowda for many years. In fact I drive almost 45 mins. To see him monthly. He is always professional and offering positive ways to improve my life. Outside of just psychological needs. I always get an email and text from his office for appt reminders. Definitely recommend him as a wonderful healthcare provider,

Real lack of bedside manner. He is rude, disrespectful and tries to till up patients to get them to lash out. This man has not been helpful to me at all.

Dr. Gowda, is rude and yells. He told me "People like me can't live without medication". He lies in his medical records. I was having a hard time with medication and requested to get off of it and he yelled at me and gave me an anxiety attack. Then proceeded to be rude to my mother who was in the office with me. He blamed all his other problems in the office on us and called rude names. He doesn't listen to you at all. DO NOT come to him as your psychiatrist!

Very patiently listens to patient's complaints, never shows any frustration, gives patient care more important than the consulting time. Easily accessible. Taking care of my Son for the past seven years.

Dr. Gowda is very unprofessional. I had an appointment today. He said my name is not in the system, I explained that called earlier last week and was given this time/day as an appointment. He had no receptionist in the office. He then handed me his business card and told me to call the phone number on it. I told him, but that is you. Why am I going to call you, when you are right here. He said call that number and talk to the manager. aka his wife working from home messing up appts Beware!!

He is crazy, he was always quick n not very professional . Couldn't explain stuff or talk in a professional manner . He would even say rude things like why u do that?but it didn't seem rude to him. one day I called him to ask a question and i asked a few extra questions as in a normal conversation and I couldn't believe what he said to me.. he said "you wanted to ask me one question and your asking me a hundred questions , I don't have time for this"I was horrified n stopped going to him.

Dr. Gowda was wonderful with my sons. I can't rate this one highly enough.

The first time I see him in 2015 he was very honest and professional. He care about his patient. Right now I am still continue to see him. I think he is one of the best. I would recommend this doctors family and friends.

Dr Gowda is an excellent psychiatrist. He is very knowledgeable and the most thorough and organized medical provider I have ever had. He truly cares about his patients. When I first met him, he was very business-like but over time, our rapport has become much more comfortable. I have also recommended him to other people and they have been happy as well.

I am being treated by Dr. Gowda for almost 8 years. He is very professional, experienced, knowledgeable, thorough & knows what he does. I strongly recommend him.

He is a horrible psychiatrist with no manners and yell at the patients. He also see the patients very quickly, only interested in charging insurance and copayments greedy jerk. His wife the receptionist is stupid and very unorganized screw up on appts and never returns your calls. I definitely think the Dr Gowda needs psyc meds himself. I would not recommend this idiots to no one ever.
