Dr. Niels Jan Linschoten

This Doctor is one of the best Docs I've ever had. As a physician very knowledgeable takes his time explaining issues. Did hip revision couple years ago and had no problems or pain since. After bad advice from previous Docs i took Dr Linschotens advice and he restored my quality of life. I am forever grateful. This time it was bursitis and a shot took care of that pain. Thank you Dr. Linschoten for being the caring Dorctor that you are.

Went for checkup on hip replacement from a year ago in January 2022. Also got updated status on right side which has not been replaced. Hip replacement all good, and no noticeable change on the right side since last xrays. May not ever need that hip replaced. Dr says see you back in a year. Love Dr Linschoten and his PA Camille! If you're looking for a good dr for orthopedic issues, he is an excellent choice! Highly recommended!!

My visit with Dr. Linschoten went great. I had xrays to determine if I'd had any changes since last year. Dr Linschoten explained the changes and we discussed having surgery to both knees. I have been very hesitant about doing this for so... long but I am confident that Dr. Linscoten will take great care of me.

I had a problem with my knee and got an appointment the same day. Dr Linschoten listened and made a clear recommendation to try a steroid shot first before even thinking of surgery. His PA - Camille was fantastic. She spent a lot of time explaining exactly the issue that I was facing and even went to her office to get a model to show me potential tears in the meniscus. One day later and the shot has alleviated 95% of my pain so certainly this short term approach is working. Eventually I probably will need surgery but hopefully that is years away. Experience could not have better. The professionalism of Dr. Linschoten and his PA gives you the confidence of being with some of the best. Everyone in the office gives you the feeling you are special and you are in good hands. If needed I surely will go to D. Linschoten and BROC.

DR Linschoten was a true blessing to my mother ...He gave her back her quality of life and we will forever be grateful!

I chose Dr. Linschoten because of his great reviews and because he used Mako robotic technology which made the surgery minimally invasive. During the visit, he told me I was a candidate to have both knee replacements done at the same time. I trusted his judgement and I am glad I did both at once. He had me standing the same day as the surgery. Before the surgery, I had a CT scan of both legs and that info was fed into the Mako robot. My arthritis was so bad that I had no cartilage all the way across and my legs had bowed. He fixed everything perfectly! My legs are straight and strong and bending! The pain after surgery was a lot less than my pain before surgery. I wouldn't go to anyone else for knee or hip replacement. Dr Linschoten and his team have given me my life back!

Although I am not a patient I took my husband to see Dr. Linschoten for a knee that's been giving him trouble. We were expecting the worst. From the very first call to make the appointment until saying goodbye EVERYBODY was very friendly and professional. We showed up 10 minutes early and as soon as the paperwork was done, we were taken right back. Vitals, X-rays, chat with the PA, quickly followed by Dr. Linschotens exam took just under an hour. After a previous hip surgery triggered severe arthritis to form, I had to get a hip replacement. I knew I wanted a Stryker dual mobility hip replacement joint to be able to get back full range of motion. Important advice about whom to choose as a surgeon: go with the surgeon who accepts patients whose other hip replacement surgeries needed to be redone due to complications or not being properly done in the first place. Dr. Niels Linschoten was the ONLY surgeon who met both qualifications in Baton Rouge. I can't tell you how impressed I am with Dr. Linschoten's skill level. My entire surgery lasted only 45 minutes meaning there's less risk of needing a blood transfusion. Dr. Linschoten was cheerful, attentive, and knowledgeable every time I saw him as was Camille, Dr. Linschoten's physician's assistant. I'm really grateful to Dr. Linschoten for doing such a great job on my hip replacement surgery. It makes all the difference in the world having confidence and trust in your surgeon.

It was an amazing experience! We considered all precautionary action prior to deciding upon a hip replacement. Outstanding Experience and Results! Dr. Linschoten treated my knee for three years before it became necessary for knee replacement. I trusted him completely and found his diagnoses and treatments to be accurate and helpful. When the time came for TKR he was clear in his explanations. The results have been better than I could have imagined. I was walking miles, biking, playing golf, and mowing the lawn within a matter of weeks post-op. Dr. Linschoten and his staff have helped me tremendously.

Fixed my knee when other drs said i was not fixable

Doctor LInschoten is such an wonderful orthopaedic doctor with very excellent skills. I would recommend him to anyone. His work on my knee has been such a blessing and it is healing wonderfully. I'm sure that my surgery is only one in many outstanding surgical experiences accomplished by Dr. Linschoten! He is very compassionate, he really listens and cares about the progress of his patients. His office is easy to reach and his staff are all very accomadating and very helpful. You can trust Dr. Linschoten with your knee and hip problems.

I chose Dr. Linschoten for his expertise and have been very happy so far. The recuperation post Make Robotic surgery of my left knee seems to be progressing better than when I had my non robotic arm right knee replaced eight years ago.

Dr. Linschoten is a highly skilled surgeon. He is exceptionally caring. People who have been his patients share their experience with others! That is how I found him, through a friend whose knee he had replaced. She said that Dr. Linschoten was really good and he could help me. Each visit to see Dr. Linschoten before and after surgery was special. He spent time with my husband and me concerning the type of surgery I would have. We both were impressed with what he said and showed us. The next part was following through. The transition for his patients from the hospital to their home included very good physical therapy at their home. When the patients were ready to go to a nearby location to complete their physical therapy there was a group of highly skilled therapists who knew what every person required. Dr. Linschoten still continued to see me as needed. One can tell that this doctor loves what he does and his patients are important to him! Thank you, Dr. Linschoten for all you do!

We brought our father to Dr. Linschoten in hopes that he would be able to help him walk again. Our father is 85 years old, and needed a hip revision. At his advanced age, other orthopedists did not really want to take on this type of surgery. Dr. Linschoten recognized the amount of pain that he was in, and recommended the surgery right away. Our father is five weeks post op, and he is on his way back to recovery. He is walking and doing great!!! Dr. Linschoten and his staff have given the very best care to our father and have been so wonderful in communicating with our family. He is truly the BEST!!
