STAY AWAY!! I’d give her a zero if I could. She is the absolute worse pediatric nephrologist I have ever come across. She does not care about her patients, very judgement, poorly educated, and truly unpleasant to work with. She is not as knowledgeable as she needs to be, to care for a child with a chronic kidney disease. She refused to admit my child is high risk for COVID, she bashed me about allowing her treatment plan provided by a previous doctor ( 1 of the the top nephrologist in the country/ content expert in the kidney foundation). She sent my daughter home from the ER to tapper of medicine during a full blown relapse.
Doctor Mathews has been with me since 2015, I was a sophomore in high school. She has helped me through a very long and tough battle and made sure I had my kidney transplant as fast as possible. I had it in January of 2017. She never let me give up on my dreams either, it’s 2018 and I just graduated High school and moving to college to play basketball. She made sure I could still live my life to the fullest. Doctor Mathews has been with me since 2015, I was a sophomore in high school.
