Simply the best!! Not just a gentleman, also a great Doctor! The ablation procedure for my a-fib condition was a complete success! The team exceeded all my expectations allowing me to replace my fears with an incredible experience! Thank you Dr Sood!!

Dr. Sood performed a cryoblation procedure for my atrial fibrillation. My a-fib has not returned since. He also purposely increased my heart rate which reduces cardiac risk and gives me more strength. I couldn’t be happier with his care.

I was referred to Dr. Sood by another Doctor in Southeastern Massachusetts as a result of my AFIB diagnosis. Upon meeting Dr. Sood, I noticed that he was very friendly, professional and thorough in his approach to treating my condition. He is well educated and experienced in this specialty field. I was immediately comforted by his calm approach in treating my AFIB condition. With his guidance, I had the following treatments: Cardioversion, Ablation and now the implementation of a Watchman device. Through all of my procedures, Dr. Sood explained each procedure thoroughly to me. I highly recommend him to all who are dealing with Atrial Fibrillation (AFIB).

I developed AFib in December 2021. Through the excellent teams at South Coast Health, my condition was diagnosed quickly . I had all the tests done and at the beginning of October, Dr. Sood preformed an ablation that cured my Afib. So within 10 months of developing Abfib I was cured! It was a miracle.

I am sharing my story in the hope of encouraging others not to give up in their struggle to overcome atrial fibrillation . When I first started having issues, my primary care doctor referred me to a Dr. Peter Stone at Brigham and Women’s. Dr. Stone was very kind and knowledgeable but when he couldn’t cure my afib he referred me to a Dr. Lawrence Epstein, a Cardiac Electrophysiologist also at the Brigham. Over a number of years, Dr. Epstein performed two ablations, prescribed a number of medications, and finally implanted a Pacemaker. The atrial fibrillation continued. Dr. Epstein left the Brigham for a position at a hospital on Long Island. I was so sorry to see him leave and wondered what I would do next as I was still having chronic Afib. Dr. Mandelson, my cardiologist, suggested I see Dr. Sood. Dr. Sood soon became my new best friend. Dr. Sood alway took his time to thoroughly explain each procedure, sometimes drawing pictures, so I knew what to expect. The Cardiac Team at Charlton, in my opinion, is second to none. Dr. Sood has performed three Cryo-Ablations on me, the last one was October 2021. This last ablation was a new procedure which has greatly reduced the number of episodes, I am finally leading a pretty normal life, all thanks to Dr. Sood and his team. Dr Sood suggested I have the Watchman Procedure, which is to prevent clots coming from the heart. I have just had that done and can’t say enough about his professional skills and expertise in this area. The team who assisted were equally as competent and keeps the patient relaxed during prep. Dr. Nitesh Sood is a remarkable person in every way. He is the best of the best! He did an ablation on me four years ago and recently did a second, partial ablation. It is difficult to articulate just how highly I think of Dr. Sood....and his team, who work so well together. I am a retired College professor who lived and was treated in Boston for many years. I believe the care given in cardiology at Charlton Memorial is equal to anywhere. As for Dr. Sood, I have never met a doctor who is more open and thorough. His explanations are as detailed as I have ever seen. In a job as demanding as it gets, this is a doctor who actually is the best of the best. I do not believe I am overstating my feelings. Its clear immediately that Dr. Sood has a big brain. He draws detailed heart diagrams upside down, and he's a spectacular scholar with several published papers and trials. (google him) But as you spend time with him, you are aware of his big, rhythmically beating heart. He listens and hears your concerns, he's there for the follow up with all the time you need. His staff is equally skilled. Hey Missy thank you for your care and humor. I wish I remembered all their names but I was doing the joy juice. How lucky are we to have Dr. Sood and his team right here at Charlton.

Dr. Sood performed my ablation for atrial fibrillation, which was very successful. I was very pleased with his competence and management of my case, which had some complications with rhythm control prior to the procedure. He was very discerning, thoughtful and caring with regard to what was best for me. I highly recommend Dr. Sood.

I had Afib (without a heart defect) for about 20 years. Maybe more. I was on rhythm modifiers, blood thinners, blood pressure and anxiety medications. With all the side effects. Early in 2019, Dr. Sood performed a cardiac ablation (cryogenic and laser) on me. Since that time, I have been Afib free and am on only one combination blood pressure/rhythm modifier. And all the nasty side effects are gone. Plus, I don't leave my life events on a stretcher any more. The surgery took away the fear of a cardiac event and gave me my life back. Dr. Sood has been my EP for 4 years. Simply put, to me, the man walks on water. Highly-skilled. Progressive methods. Always current as regards new Tx's. Great "bedside manner". Although my cardiac team is in Boston, I choose to remain with Dr. Sood.

I was troubled by Afib (without heart defect) for many, many years. Perhaps over 20! I was on blood pressure reducers, rhythm stabilizers, blood thinners, and anti-anxiety medications. With all the side effects. Afib interfered with all aspects of my life and the stress of it made things worse. I am so happy to have met Dr Sood. He evaluated, qualified, and performed a cardiac ablation (laser and cryogenic) for me early in 2019. His bedside manner and talents are quite wonderful. Since the procedure, I have been Afib free. It is truly amazing. In situations where I once feared a cardiac event, I experience nothing - everything is normal. I don't have to leave on a stretcher any more. Wonderful. In addition, I was able to be removed from all but one combination rhythm/blood pressure medication - which has eliminated the side effects I once endured. See Dr. Sood IMMEDIATELY for an evaluation. Excellent and extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. The cryoablation was smooth and w/o complications. As I am a work in progress, but my expectations and confidence in Dr Sood remain strong.

I would like to commend Dr Sood and Dr Gerogiannis and their teams . As an AFIB sufferer (scared as heck about blood clots & strokes ) They teamed to do a convergent cryo - ablation . Went in for outpatient surgery today. All I can say is excellent, excellent! From admissions to Dr. Sood surgery to recover it was the best! If you ever need any cardiovascular care this is were you need to go. Thank you everyone it was a great experience, well as far as surgery goes. Lol

I am a 60 yr old Female that has had Irregular Heart Palpitations since i was 16 yr old. I have Connective Tissue Disorder & a blood disorder called antiphosphidlipid disease. My Palpitations started getting worse the last 3-4 yrs and i kept saying its my nerves and kept brushing it off. I remember on few occasions while driving i had to pull over and i thought i wld pass out, my heart was beating so Fast like it was coming out of my chest! Then this past year i had an episode during the night that i cldnt stop the Palpitations, it was making me sick i was sweating, and diarrhea, and thought for sure this was it, my husband called the ambulance and they cldnt stop the Palpitations so they had to give me a needle that actually Stopped my Heart and Restarted it. It was Super Bowl Sunday, 2016, I was settling in for a nice day of good food and a great game even though the Patriots weren't in it. Around 10 o'clock I started getting a funny feeling in my chest, it just wouldn't go away. I got up, walked, drank lots of water and just tried to relax, but still that feeling of my heart beating out of my chest wouldn't go away. I thought I was having a heart attack, so I called 911. When I got to the hospital they assured me I wasn't having a heart attack but that I did have AFlutter and AFib. For the next year and a half I lived with that feeling. Although I was taking medication for it, I never knew when my heart would start to beat out of control like that again. It's a horrible feeling. I went to see Dr. Nitesh Sood in August 2017. He put into plain language exactly what was going on in my heart and why I was experiencing discomfort. He told me that he could help me, and carefully explained everything that he would do. In October 2017 he performed a cryoablation on me. He, and his staff made me feel perfectly comfortable both before and after the procedure. This fine gentleman at first consult took the time and effort to fully explain my condition, thoroughly explained the ablation process, and he addressed my fears and anxiety in the process. Excellent care. He’s always on top of his profession. I had two ablation 2 cardioversions and getting another next week. He has explained to me my condition in detail and let’s me know when there are any changes and commits to getting that situation taken care of. Excellent doctor

The most compassionate, caring, physician I have ever had interaction with. He returns all calls in a timely manner, is always prepared for day of my visit, voices his concerns for my welfare, expresses what is best for my care and has excellent interaction with my cardiologist. Is always prepared to thoroughly explain a procedure. His staff, both clinical and office, are also always prepared to assist with questions or find solutions to problems. I hold Dr. Sood in the highest esteem .

I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone. He is brilliant and extremely bright. He provided outstanding care to my mother for 3 procedures. He truly cares about his patients and always does whatever it takes to get the job done. He is more than 5 stars. He is 10 stars.

Dr. Sood has made an enormous difference in my quality of life and life expectancy. He never gives up and will work incessantly to succeed with his patients' care. I consider him the Mozart of cardiology ... brilliant, and a bit devilish.
