Was very impressed. 1st visit and needed a procedure and he was persistent in making it happen the next day. Which was wonderful as I had been given the run around by others for several weeks.

I went in for an examination because I’ve been dealing with hemmorhoids and he recommended two procedures: a colonoscopy and a hemmorhoidectomy to remove them. Both procedures went very smoothly and the staff and Dr. have been very supportive and responsive throughout the recovery. It’s definitely been a very intense recovery process, but tomorrow is only two weeks from the procedure and I’m feeling much more capable than just a few days ago. Overall I have nothing but positives to say about Dr. Rangnakar and his staff.

All he cares about is how much money he can get from you. I'm sure I was over charged. And he wouldn't tell me everything was good unless I came to the office.which it took 5 seconds to tell me and $40.00 more.

Appointment was made with Dr., but I was seen only by the PA. PA said he typically wasn't present for the procedure I solicited, nor could he answer my questions about the Dr's history performing the procedure. I asked for a follow-up phone call from the Dr. which I have not received to date.

The appt. was very short. Did not ask about prior drs visits. Just medical history, I've been ill for a while and was hoping and or expecting some type of solution. Instead was put off for next appt 4wks out I'm still very ill and very afraid of the prolonged outcome.

He cares for his patients and he has great bedside manners.

I was very impressed with him and everyone. Made me feel at ease.

Very gracious in caring about patients. Having used his services in the past was pleased to have him care for both myself and my wife.

Was originally send to Knoxville because there wasn’t anything closer to Cherokee. I am extremely glad that happened. I have no problem driving the distance for follow-ups. Wonderful people, great facilities, could not be happier with my health care.

Dr. Rangnekar has taken care of my mother with multiple co-morbidities (that complicate her GI issues) for over the past 5 years, with tremendous wisdom, talent, compassion and patience. He knows when to perform a needed procedure and when to hold off to see if the issue is self-limiting. Mom never feels rushed or pushed. He is truly a Doctor's Doctor.

The staff and Dr Ragnekar are always professional and courteous.

A very well run office, no wait time, very professional and I felt like I got great care.

Office staff were extremely courteous and welcoming. Dr. Rangnekar is the best! His nursing staff are also very efficient and professional. Always enjoy my visits there.

As a new patient I was very pleasantly surprised to be called back immediately. Nurse setting up my file was very pleasant and thorough. The Doctor was familiar with my case, immediately called the referring Doctor for a consult and gave me explicit instructions. Very impressed with my initial visit.

He is so nice and made me feel comfortable the first visit. He’s very smart but he still joked with me. I really liked that. He made me feel like I could trust him. Doctors like him are hard to find. He did a great job on my surgery also. I would definitely recommend him.

I love Dr. Rangnekar (and Shannon!) and have the utmost respect for him. He has performed several procedures for me (I have a great deal of gastrointestinal issues). That being said, the quality of care received from his practice (overall -- from him down to the receptionist) has declined in the last few years. I believe it's because of the amount of patients being seen and the lack of time/staff available at his practice. I've had several issues with getting return calls from the office after leaving messages, etc. Dr. Rangnekar gas always addressed these issues once I get the opportunity to speak with him but I'd prefer they not happen at all. I trust him and will continue to see him for my needs but if you are looking for a provider where you can get prompt responses to problems this may not be the practice for you. Attentive and listened to my concerns. Common sense approach and made sure I understood care recommendations.

Dr. Rangnekar is a very good doctor if you have lower intestine problems. I trust him. So that's why I gave him a 5 star rating.

Office seemed understaffed (probably due to Covid) or a bit mismanaged. Could not get email or text appointment notice. Expected minor surgery was only 1 minute consultation. A bit disappointed, but probably wrong expectations on my part.

From the moment of patient check-in to my discharge, I felt highly serviced by the surgery team. At every point the communication was clear and concise and critical information was checked at every point in the process. On top of this high level of professionalism, the staff were friendly and courteous. I felt a high level of comfort in their care and I always new what to expect with the surgical procedure they were performing. A hectic, impersonal office. Rushed in and out. Had a very short 10 minute appointment, wasn't introduced to the other 2 interns? residents? groupies? who entered the room. When they left was given no directions on checkout, follow up, so I just left the building. Really didn't have much time to form an opinion. I like the friendly enviroment of the staff from the front desk!! The doctor and nurses big NO!!i waited such a long time the doctor just came in said yes that is what u have surgery is needed!! Did not show me what? Where? Why? And how? When you cut someone open they at least need to know what it is why it happen and what the issue is. The main phasician was no help either two years same issue they just assumed, if is a physical check the ears throat and listen to what patien is saying. they just have me on a panic have not received a call and i dont think or belive of what they said my tireness loss of hair gain weight without eating fatige inregular mestrual cycles feeling like my stomach is full with out eating much and loss of strengh with loss of memorie is not fun. The doctor knew right away what was wrong He was very personable. I liked him

I was due for a procedure after moving to Tennessee and my husband had a procedure with Dr Rangnekar and was confident with him. I have only had one appointment with him but I did think he was a good doctor And would recommend him. He asked needed questions and explained everything to me.

Do not trust yourself or your loved ones care to this Dr. zero empathy or bedside manner,and when even nicely questioned will go into a combative speech about how he is the best surgeon.

Dr. Rangnekar saved my life from a 100% colon blockage that was cancer. His communication is always very good and he truly cares about his patients! Love him. His staff is great too.

I am very pleased with Dr Rangnekar. He is an excellent, caring doctor. He has taken exceptional care of me and my husband. I trust him totally and would highly recommend him.

He is a GENERAL SURGEON and NOT a board certified gastroenterologist. There is a huge difference

Office staff will leave you hanging. Needed important paperwork filled out and was left twisting in the wind. Impossible to contact. Can not get test results, can not get follow-up information. Doctor seemed knowledgeable but his staff need to be replaced. Best to stay as far as possible away from this provider. Oh, they did make sure I knew I had a bill though, immediately.

I am truly upset. My daughter has been suffering from a hernia (which she was recently diagnosed with) was scheduled to have her hernia surgery today. She called inquiring about the mash that they were going to be using and was told that it would be safe. She thanked them and confirmed her surgery appointment (which was today). But, when we went to the hospital, we were told that she wasn't on the scheduled and that they couldn't find her on any schedule. They told her that she had to wait until the doctor's office open to find out what happened. When she called the doctor's office, she was told that someone cancelled her surgery and nobody informed her. They told her that the earliest that she could get scheduled was the end of the month. She called me crying because she has been in so much pain and she couldn't believe that her surgery was cancelled and no one told. I am truly disappointed in how this has been handled.
