Dr. Omid Omidvar

I was referred by my doctor to this Neurological Group, but I was unable make an appointment. After three phone calls, I was able to reach a woman that asked about my insurance. Medicare and Blue Cross PPO was obviously not acceptable as she hung up and I never heard from them again.

Dr. Omidvar is knowledgeable, experienced and caring. He takes his time for examination and asking questions in order to make his diagnosis.

Yes, I will drive up from San Diego to see him. He’s that good.

You will not find a more caring and knowledgeable Doctor. I’ve been setting Dr Omidvar for over 10 years and he’s always been filled with compassion. Not only does he care about you, but he cares how your whole family is. I would travel across country to see him.

I’ve been seeing Dr Omidvar for many years. On my first visit he wanted a sleep study done because the seizure only occurred while sleeping. Following the study he recommended I use a CPAP machine and since using it I haven’t had a seizure. I’d give him a rating of 10 if possible. The office staff is just the opposite. I’d give them a -10. It’s close to impossible to talk directly to anyone. You have to leave a message and hope and pray they call back. When necessary I’ve driven to the office to talk with someone. It’s a pain to get an appointment but in the end it’s worth the wait. Good Luck!

Doctor Omidvar knowledgeable, caring, and takes time to listen to his patients. He finds the best treatment for his patients and is genuinely concerned about their care. Dr. Omidvar is a knowledgeable physician w a caring personality!

Dr. Omidvar is amazing! He's been the only doctor to get my seizures under control. He's very patient and super understanding. The staff are very understanding and compassionate. Genie, Stefanie and minervM are great. I highly recommend this office.

I love this doctor. I’m very happy with his care. My downfall for him is his office staff. The phones are NEVER answered by a real person. 100% of my messages are NOT returned. God help you if you have an urgent issue. Sad, that a man so talented can’t fix a simple issue like the responsiveness of his office staff. I would not recommend him because of that.

Great doctor, I have been to 2 other neurologists and he not only figured out my condition but also sent me to the right surgeon immediately. Getting to a live person in the office is very hard! The staff looks busy. The group is in high demand, they should either hire more Docs and staff or figure out something!

I was a patient of dr. Amit of ours about 8 years ago or maybe 6 he was the most wonderful doctor I had ever seen and the most kindest man I went to go see him again but the nurse at his office that is located elsewhere not at the Los Alamitos building told me I could not see him and that it had been too long and I had to see another doctor. I told my primary care doctor Tamara Mayer and she said how ridiculous that is not true and I will call him and speak with him about that and you can see him I never did follow it through but I am going to call and make an appointment and tell the girl that she does not know what she's talking about I knew better but I was in such pain I just was not in the mood to argue with that girl he also told me I had better pick a different insurance as that mine would no longer be around and I had to pick a PPO and I told her that I was not ever going to give up my medicare Medi-Cal that I was told by another doctor that I had the best insurance around. People that work in doctors offices are usually very kind and polite but this girl is not and I was surprised that he had her as he is employed I ended up seeing another doctor and it's not to say that he wasn't a good doctor but we just did not match and I called and one more time was told I could not see that you're a little far I'm thinking about using my married name because I am still married but I'm not with a man that way I an at least get in to see Dr Omidvar as a patient has the right to see the doctor of her choice and not have some medical receptionist tells her that she has to see who she tells . Dr.Omidvar my history he knows everything about me Yes that is the reason I want to see him also I want to see him because he is so very good and I am having severe problems and I need to get something done I will not give my name at this time because of the things that I have said but I will sure make appointment with dr. Dr. Omidvar is one of the best doctors I've ever met. A truly educated man who not only takes the time to discuss your case, but also has the compassion and genuine kindness that is lacking in today's healthcare. His staff is excellent. The office is immaculate. And he is a truly caring person; one fo the best.
