During my annual visit for the first time with this office they offered me to do some freezing. After I left the doctor, I paid the balance at the check out and left. The freezing did not do a thing. Then after few months I received additional bill for the freezing. It came by surprise because the doctor faked to tell me about addition fee and also added it to my bill after I left! I was treated VERY Badly - treatment is being seriously delayed, total lack of interest in the patient or his needs. Charging for visits where there is no treatment. two appointments in a row where ai wasn't even looked at, let alone examined. I will NEVER go back

No bedside manner. I never met the doctor until the day of my surgery. He came in, shook my hand, completed the surgery and left. Questions left up to the staff

I had some Mose surgery and it came out great. I could not be more pleased.

Excellent!

I had a Lypoma removed and the incision was about 4" long and he only put in 4 stitches. In addition to that the skin is bunched up in the stitches. I believe that he is a butcher. Most of his patients are elderly and are probably less concerned about scarring, but I am in my early 40's and will have to live with a scar that is worse that the bump that was there. I strongly advise that you find another doctor if you want personalized attention and care.

I am a “snow bird” and had a need to see a dermatologist and a friend recommended Dr.Mikell. The doctor and his staff have more than exceeded my expectations. I’ve been welcomed and treated as if I had been a patient for years. They are efficient and professional but as I implied above I feel as if I have been one of their patients for years. I appreciate how they have discussed other treatment options I had never been made aware of before. I have have been treated for plaque psoriasis for 52 years. Dr. Mikell is very through. His nurse, Brittney is awesome.

Dr. mikell is the best I have been going to him for over 25 years. His girls are all very attentive and extremely knowledgeable and Kind. I don’t think he needs recommendations as he is hardest working Doctor I have met ever. Have had him also do Moh surgery on face and looks like plastic surgeon did it. This is one great doctor and staff! I’ve had them remove several skin cancers including a few on my face. They are not only pleasant but even on my face there are no scars. I don’t know how they do it, but you’d never know I’ve ever had surgery. I’m cancer free and scar free!

In my opinion there is no one better than Dr. Mikell he found a small lesion on my breast that mo other Dr. recognized and it turned out to be a recurrence of my breast cancer. He was my savior and I thank God for him every day

Great Doctor.

Dr. Mikel is great. I've been with him 4 years. Many AKs and barnacles removed on each visit. One cyst removed from my noggin. I don't understand a few negative remarks about staff. They seem fine to me.

Awful place. Receptionists are rude and disrespectful with no concern for patients. Exam room staff are indifferent. Expect to have a long wait beyond your appointment time.

I do not understand the other reviews. Dr. Mikel and his staff could not have been any more cordial and professional. I was impressed with the way I discussed my situation/needs and he expertly provided what I needed in a timely manner at a fair price. Upon leaving his office I saw a plaque from the SC Dermatology Association on which he was named Dermatologist of the year! FIVE STARS IN MY BOOK (an I am a tough customer). Dr. Mikell and staff are courteous, effective, and quick. Dr. Mikell is knowledgable and doesn't waste the patient's time with medicines, etc that costs money and are not effective. If you are on time for your appointment, he, the nurses, and his wonderful front desk staff make sure you are in and out of the office so that you can continue your day. Don't be late for your appointment, however, because he stays busy. Expect to spend half of your day waiting if you are not punctual. Dr. Mikell and staff are courteous, effective, and quick. Hands down, the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. Very disrespectful and not helpful. He is the only dermatologist you can make a quick appointment with and now I can see why.
