Dr. Patience Owan

I have seen a few specialists from IHC, U of U and Jordan Valley. I have been around children my entire life growing up and feel I’m pretty good with them. It’s my opinion that Dr. Patience Owan is by far one of the best in the state. She comes highly recommended from other very skilled and knowledgeable physicians. I was referred to her a few years back by my family Dr. who I had seen since I was a teen. Probably over 20 years. He referred me to Dr. Owan. Not only does she take time to make sure I understand but she was only one of two physicians who was able to notice tiny little things in both of my children that were established at birth, during their first visit with her. I have taken my kids to urgent cares and other doctors who would give a quick check up but never mention these little things. Such as a very slight heart murmur. Both my kids had this but it was ever so slight and I always thought it was interesting when I never mentioned anything but my family Doctor and Dr. Owan both noticed this on their first visit with my child without knowing any prior history. She has educated me more on child development in a single visit than any pediatrician I’ve met lol. She’s funny, she is kind and great with my kids. My son just adores her I think it's his first crush. Very kind and gentle with my 2 yr old son Jimmy Deherrera. We always enjoy well child check up visits. Thank you Dr. Owan for being so great. Sincerely Carrie Fife
