Dr. Patricia Cantu is an excellent physician. She and her staff are very personable and professional. I have been her loyal patient for over 10 years.

Dr. Cantu and her staff provide exceptional care! They are not only efficient with little to no wait time, they all show compassion especially Dr. Cantu. She takes time to completely understand her patients’ symptoms and has no reservations to refer to more specialized care if needed. Not taking new patients? How can I be assigned to a doctor and new patients are not accepted?

Dr. Cantu takes the time to listen and treats appropriately. She cares about her patients. Staff is always super. I cannot think of one negative thing to say.

Wouldn't refer me to a specialist, because "she didn't like her"... Left her practice and eventually got to see the specialist-- best pysician I could ask for, and currently receiving the best care!!! Don't waste your time

I've been a patient of Dr.Cantu for 13 years, and absolutely love her. She is extremely personable and her nurses are always kind and helpful. Be prepared to stay up to date on all of you blood work, and visit at least once a year. I love having a dependable doctor who takes the time to listen and talk through options for any medical needs. Upon moving to Corpus, I had immense pain in my sinuses. I found Dr. Cantu, and instead of referring me to an allergist, I was told "you have allergies, welcome to Corpus" and nothing beyond that. In the same initial visit, I explained that I had pain in my knees that would not go away, she sent me for xrays, then told me nothing was wrong with them. No suggestion for further examination into my knee pain. Bottom line: Don't waste your time! Upon moving to Corpus, I had immense pain in my sinuses. After 3 weeks of coughing I saw Dr. Cantu and she diagnosed a virus that would result in coughing for 3-6 weeks. 3 weeks after appointment I called because coughing and congestion were worse, I was told that there was no reason to come in because it was viral. I waited another 2 weeks before calling back. I was able to get in to see another doctor, and when I notified the office, I was kicked out of the practice. A second opinion should be appreciated by a Doctor, if you agree with this, Dr. Cantu is not the doctor for you. I ended up needing a breathing treatment, steroids, antibiotic, and inhaler for severe acute bronchitis with reactive airway which was approaching pneumonia. Kelly was very nice and helpful. I was trying to set appointment to get referral to specialist per my health plan. I was disappointed to hear that I was no longer a patient since I had not visited the doctor once a year. This is Dr's protocol and she was not taking new patients. Been a patient for 12 years. Dr Cantu is the best!!

We have gone to Dr. Cantu for several years now and couldn't have found a better doctor. She is very personable and honest. She has expectations for her patients just as we have expectations for a doctor and I find this refreshing.

She's been our doctor for over 10 years and has always followed up and is proactive about our care. She has always done/suggested what's best for us. Always friendly and you can tell she actually cares about her patients.
