Dr. Patricia Mikes is an exceptional physician. She has deep specialized expertise and years of experience in her specialties that prepare her completely to diagnose and treat patients. Just as important is her ability to communicate -- listening, asking questions and explaining patient alternatives. She spends the time with her patients that is needed to understand and discuss options and risks. Patient care doesn't get better than this.

Super nice, super patient, great insight. Gave me information on GERD interactions w/ my asthma that have been very helpful. Highly reccomend.

I can’t speak highly enough about Dr Mikes and Jay. Both have been a part of my mothers healthcare team for over 10 years now. The attention to detail compassion and extreme knowledge is beyond any other physician I have ever encountered on my mother’s care team. I visited Dr. Mikes for a second opinion one year ago. She was very thorough in examining me, reviewing the tests, and gave me the proper diagnosis and treatment. She is an excellent professional

Absolutely the best in Chicago. One-on-one support, pro-active . Still cannot believe how much time and effort this office and Dr. Mikes devote to my well-being. Truly blessed to have Dr. Mikes as my pulmonologist.

I am very grateful to have had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Patricia Mikes. I felt comfortable with her and her staff. I feel they actually listened to me and that is a huge relief. I will continue to see her as the need arises.

Went to Patricia Mikes for a bad cough that wouldn't go away in September 2019. After two months and multiple visits, she specifically said I didn't have asthma and told me to go off the Symbicort my primary prescribed for me. My terrible cough remained. Turns out I had a clear case of asthma that was diagnosed in Februray 2020. Mikes caused me 6 months of treatment and getting better! In addition, she spent as little time as possible getting to know my history, in her drive-by visits. I got the feeling she and her sister were just milking it until retirement or something. I obviously would not recommend her.

My father was a physician, and I saw how many of his fellow physicians operated over the years. I can give her and her office staff an unqualified recommendation.

This is 1 on 1 caring, competent and thorough pulmonary medicine. Dr Mikes is thoughtful and expert at looking at me and my complete set of symptoms that were chronic for years. She took time to explain her plan and came up issues I hadn't even considered. We gradually worked through each issue. After one was managed we moved to the next and now I am a different person. This is the way a specialty doctor should approach every patient. When Dr Mikes thought I needed more attention to a given area outside of lungs, she referred me to another specialist. I feel so much better now that I have seen Dr Mikes and will continue to follow up with her.

I found Dr. Mikes to be an excellent physician, patient, interested in her patients, pleasant , and extremely competent. She gave me her total attention and time to talk about my situation without rushing me. She explained her diagnosis thoroughly, discussed various procedures that would help, explained which ones she wanted me to try and why. My voice, cough and breathing were better in a few days. I have every confidence in her. If you need a pulmonologist, Dr Mikes is the one you want.

Dr. Mikes is amazing . she spends as much time as you need, never rushing. She has, with minimal medication, been able to control my asthma. Her office staff is friendly and makes setting appointments very easy . I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mikes!!
