Dr. Patrick Clinton Fenner

Very thorough and caring doctor. Excellent knowledge base of his field. Don’t let his modesty and humility fool you, he’s one of the best!

I recently took my elderly father into the ER with chest pains and Dr. Fenner provided excellent care for my dad. He listened for a long time as my dad talked about his symptoms and followed up with questions. After consulting with my dad’s regular cardiologist, he took time to explain what he thought was going on in a way that we could understand. He laid out a clear plan outlining what he believed to be the best course of action. On a side note, it can be difficult for elderly patients to hear physicians talking through masks. Dr. Fenner made sure to slow down and speak a little louder so my dad could hear him which I appreciated.

Dr. Fenner did not have a good hospital bed-side manner. An angiogram was desired by the pulmonologist doctors but cardiology doctors, Dr Discher & Fenner, were arguing against it. Based on the info we gathered and especially, the info the pulmonologist gave us, the family decided ‘yes’ to the procedure, but to my surprise right before my dad went under, Dr. Fenner harassed me about our ‘surprise’ decision and second guessed our decision a full two days after we had communicated our decision. My family was not with me to reconsider other options. It was not a high risk procedure and from my understanding was not only diagnostic but could potentially help prevent future heart attacks. It seems Dr Discher had surprised Dr. Fenner with an extra procedure while filling in for him and he was put out. It was incredibly stressful for me and I even suffered from a migraine the next day. They should not be so arrogant to think they can make a decision for another family. My dad improved after
