Dr. Paul L. Goodman

I saw Dr. Goodman 4 months ago for a sore heel. X-rays showed I need orthotics for more cushion under the heel. It is probably plantar fasciitis. He prescribed exercises and said to call in 2 weeks if it wasn't better. The home exercises I was given seem to make it worse, but the orthotics helped. The problem slowly got worse and I saw Dr. Goodman again recently. I arrived on time and waited over an hour. Twice I checked with the receptionist who said there had been a glitch. I know people who had appointments after mine went in. I mentioned it to Dr. Goodman and he sort of affirmed it, but never apologized. He felt my heel through the sock and said to do the exercises and if it wasn't 40% better in a week to get an MRI of the foot. I asked if I should get orthotics made for me. He said it wasn't worth it. I may see someone else for a second opinion.

In 2018, Dr. Goodman performed a Subtalar and talonavicular fusion and tenoachilles lengthening on my left foot/ankle. This was due to an acquired pronation deformity of both ankles, with the left foot being worse. Dr. Goodman did a superb job reconstructing my foot, his bedside manner is great, and his follow-up appointments were reassuring since this surgery required 2 months non-weight-bearing recuperation. At some point, I’ll need the other foot done as well, and I only want Dr. Goodman to do the surgery. Look at his credentials - they are phenomenal.

Always innovative with his care

Experience desk service! You can use walk in anytime without appointments. Only problem is little hard to rech with nurse.

All of the docs that I have used for the last 10 years at Illinois bone and joint are the best. They take care of their patients and they care about their patients. Dr. Paul Goodman has done wonders for me with my feet. Dr Benson is super her hands etc. again thank you Illinois bone and joint high-quality of your docs. Teddie Kossof

For 3 years I visited Dr. Goodman at Glenbrook Hospital He helped with Dr Bradley J Dunlap in Lincolnshire a knee specialist. Thank you! Also with connecting with ATI. Most movements- Now I can do with my Left Ankle.

Dr. Paul Goodman is great in my opinion. He has his own way of dealing with things. He gets the job done well. I never had a problem at this office. I broke my toe and they were able to get me in asap. The lady at desk Dawn was very helpful. So was Debbie the assistant. As well as the student learning how to be a dr. but I can't pronounce his name he was great...I got in and out. You don't want to be there all day do you? Thanks everyone for helping me today. He made me worse had to see another doc. Also he never returned a call about pain becoming severe.

He is a great doctor. We sometimes have to pay out of pocket but I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Goodman is awesome. He did my sesamoidectomy and bunion surgery and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. His staff is also great!

During one appointment with Dr. Goodman, he only spent 5-10 minutes talking about my medical issue and 20 minutes ranting about how electronic medical records and insurance company were ruining the practice of medicine. He had prescribed an orthopedic boot for my torn Achilles tendon, but neither he nor his staff gave me any instruction on how to use the boot safely, a topic of particular importance to me due to my poor balance. I also found the office staff overworked and generally poor.

After failures of two dr.'s (a podiatrist and a foot/ankle orthodpedic) to correctly diagnose my foot pain, Dr. Goodman took over and uncovered and surgically corrected my problem. He was first rate throughout, from ensuring his diagnosis was correct to the end of my post-surgery recovery. In the meantime, I referred two family members to him, both of whom agree that Dr. G is 5 star. No doubt that is why he has a busy office, patients may have to wait, and his office staff are task oriented.

What a nightmare! The unfriendly lady who runs the front office needs to get a new job. Dr. G did not even have me remove my shoes the last two visits even when I complained of swelling and pain. Other foot doctors I replaced Goodman with said the orthotics were improperly fitted and were what podiatrists used in the early 90s and they caused my foot to worsen. His poor care caused my achilles tendon to eventually tear and a huge calcification to form on the back of my foot. BAD DOCTOR!!

My first impression of the office was not good, it was crowded and chaotic. I was there for Dr. Goodman whom I really liked and felt confident in his treatment which was a surgery. Moving forward was nothing but a disaster. The office is the most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with on a professional level. I cancelled my appointment and I had an extensive conversation with Amy the office manager. I thought I would have heard from Dr. Goodman,very disappointed.
