Dr. Penny C. West

Staff is horrible! She refuses to give me medications I have been taking for years! It's very hard to get a refill for your meds. I have a problem with this whole office. She took over my previous retired doctor and I didn't care for her from the first visit! Wait time is not acceptable!

I was with Dr West for 15 years. The first ten I was very happy with her. After that I started to get a little upset with her. She sent a false report to my insurance, which we are getting charged lots of money for. She started forgetting things about my care, what procedures had been done and doubling up on others. Her bedside manner was on and off, sometimes nice, other times she would say hurtful remarks about my body, sometimes directly to me. Other times I would hear her saying those kind of things to her staff about me...walls were thin.

Dr. West is terrific. I've been going to her now for about 3 years. She listens, she takes time, she CARES about her patients. I had strep throat and didn't even know it. She prevented me from exposing my co-workers to strep and for that I'm grateful. She is kind and compassionate. I just cannot say enough good things about Dr. West.

I called to make an appointment as a new patient. The girl on the phone knew this and was taking all my information. I gave her my age (62) and all the sudden she had to put me on hold. I commented that I hoped they weren't going to decide not to take me because of my age as I have full medical PPO employee insurance. She came back with "She isn't taking any new patients." Be sure you are young and healthy when you try to become her patient!!

I have been with Dr. West for several years and I could not be happier. She is an excellent doctor. Excellent bedside manner. Always takes the time to listen to my concerns and always answers all my questions. I would highly recommend her.
