Dr. Perry Howard Julien

Great experience today with Dr Julian and all members of the staff I spoke with. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

What a wonderful experience!!! Dr. Julien was extremely knowledgeable, caring, and kind. He listened to my questions and provided informative responses. I can't imagine anything more he could have done to improve the experience. Dr. Julien is truly an exceptional podiatrist.

Dr. Julian has been awesome treating me for plantar fasciitis, plantar fibromas, and calcaneus bursitis. I came to him from a host of other misguided podiatrists and he healed me where the others had floundered with ineffective treatments. The office staff is great too and also responsive and friendly. Knowledgeable, experienced, great listener, great treatment suggestions, answers all questions patiently.

The front desk lacks customer service skills. Horrible treatment where they try to shame you in front of other customers. There are other great podiatrists in Atlanta I've learned with better staffing.

Everyone in my family uses Dr Julien. He is awesome. He is very warm and friendly, and tries to find ways to save you money.

I finally decided to see Dr Julien after a few months of pain in the ball of my foot. I am an avid runner and the pain was beginning to make me regret going on a long run. Dr Julien has had involvement with the 1996 Olympics, Peachtree Road Race and Atlanta Track Club so I figured he was who I should go see. My first visit was in May and I had a follow up visit in July and again in September. It has taken several months but thankfully I now run virtually pain free. At the rate I'm going I know I'll be completely pain free by year's end. I dont understand the bad reviews here. Like the Doctor said, this injury was created after several years of running (I had been running consistently and at high volume and intensity for 6 years before the injury) so it will take time to heal. Dr Julien is who you should go see for any foot and ankle issues. His prices are also very reasonable especially for a cash patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Perry Julian. I was pretty scared when i first went to see him a few years ago because i had a lot of pain in my toes from standing so many years in the wrong shoes. I had let it go because i didn't know if i would need surgery but he had a solution to my foot pain that was a rather simple and didn't require surgery. He also has helped me with my broken foot recently. Dr Julian is a really nice and fun guy who's very knowledgeable about the foot and it's a great to know i have someone to trust with my foot. My feet were hurting so badly they were waking me up at night. Dr Perry suggested custom orthotics & wearing good running shoes as much as possible. I was skeptical. He sent me home with foam pads to try before purchasing expensive orthotics. Some improvement. Could not believe the relief with orthotics & good, well fitting running shoes. My husband loves his shoes & wears them, painful or not. Many years of this resulted in the largest bone spurs Dr Perry said he had ever seen. Surgery & advice for correctly fitting shoes fixed this problem. Later he developed foot pain that was relieved with vitamin b12 injections, who knew. I've had both feet done by Dr. Julien for bunions and hammer toes. ...he did a superb job, I healed quickly and well....I couldn't be more please with both the doctor and his staff.

I don't know how people can give Dr. Julien a bad review, I've been a patient of the practice ever since when I woke up one morning with fallen arches in both feet. I was in such pain I could barely walk to my car to drive to the offices. I'm not one for surgery or medications and I avoid them if at all possible. Meds will just destroy your natural defenses to cure pains and surgery should be a last resort. to complicate things further, I was injured back when I was 16 in a car wreck and had severe structural damage to my left ankle, both knees and was even paralyzed from the waist down for more than a year and a half so I know what pain and rehabilitative processes are. When I experienced the issue with my arches, Dr. Julien saw me and rather than prescribing pain medication, he put me into orthotic inserts and intense physical therapy for 6 weeks, my body naturally repaired itself and I've yet to have any further issues and continue with the same daily stretching exercises to prevent any further issues. Sure Dr. Julien has a busy practice because he has a very high success rate of his patients. For the person who could not get into see him, well darling, there's only so many hours in the day and only so many days in the week to see patients. I never had any issues with booking my follow up appointments and therapy sessions. Very nice guy, good bedside manner, and good listener. I was seen by other doctors for my foot injury and he did not minimize my concerns or discomfort. He was straight forward and asked me what I wanted from his visits. I ended up taking a steroid shot and some insoles. my foot is doing great now but I still got some work cut out for me. He doesn't try to get out to do anything costly or unreasonable. His staff is friendly and he is prompt

DO NOT bother if you are a woman over 50! Sent me (and my best friend, I found out later) home for a month w/$5 foam pads. Begged for pain medication. Nothing was administered/prescribed. Hey, NEWSFLASH, Doc: Women are programmed/built to endure the tissue-tearing pain of childbirth: If we say it hurts, it hurts and it needs to be addressed as a part of the healing process? Were you out the day they covered this in med school? 2nd visit: Was given a creme for the pain. Was sent to a PT-in-the-Box for physical therapy and "dry needling." I was really disappointed in my latest interaction with the staff. I called because I'm having severe issues with a condition Dr. Julien (who I love) treated me for. I was told they couldn't even squeeze me in for overflow for over a month! So, his patients can't have immediate issues? That doesn't seem plausible for foot issues that often come on suddenly. Customer service is very poor!!!!! I'll find some educated office workers elsewhere!

Great foot doctor who is also an active runner. Dr. Julien is kind and a good listener. He teaches his patients what do so as to heal and prevent further problems or injury.
