Great Doctor

I hate to have to write a negative review but this was my experience. My husband made an appointment to see Dr Gottlieb on September 1st. It is now 2 months later and we are no closer to a diagnosis then we were on September 1st. He was told to do an at home slept test. After WEEKS of back and forth, they wouldn't wirte the referral. They said primary care had to write the referral. I was so helpless I decided to contact my insurance company. Here's the best part, no referral was needed. You would think the Pulmonologist would know that. My husband finally gets the test. The results were inconclusive due to the fact that he now sleeps with a machine and was not able to use his machine during the home sleep test. A representative from home sleep contacted me to tell me there were no findings. She informed me that my husband would have to do an in-lab sleep test. Here goes the back and forth again. More phone calls countless request to speak with Dr. Gottlieb.They refuse to write the request for in lab test. I was told he would have to come in again to see the doctor. I replied why would he take another day off work to come in when there are no new findings since September 1st. His treatment is now being delayed 2 months. I asked again to send the referral for the in lab test and then we would be back in to discuss a treatment plan, sounds reasonable . Rainer the front desk girl had me on hold for 42 minutes. Not once picked up the phone to say,I'm sorry , a few more minutes, can I call you back, nothing. When she got back on the phone and I expressed my feelings, she hung up on me. I decided that I did not have to work with them. I can and go somewhere else. I filed a complaint with my insurance company. I filed a complaint with the NY state medical board and I'm writing this review. I hope it helps someone. In part this office is inexperienced and lazy. They do not care about their patients. the people ,that work in this office, leave the phones of the hook, all incoming calls get ,busy signal. not one doctor was in the office, only one P.A, had to wait two hours ,before i was let to leave,

Staff held me on the phone on 2 occasions for 20 minutes EACH just to tell me there’s no appointments available.

THIS MAN IS A GIFT FROM GOD N I WILL MISS HIM N HIS STAFF LIKE MY OWN FAMILY HE SAVED MY LIFE SEVERAL TIMES N I CANT THANK HIM ENUFF TYVM ????????????????????????

Staff is very helpful and polite the Dr us very aware and professional know His stuff

Rude, aloof and disconnected from their patients. One office assistant literally laughed in my face when I told them that my mother, on supplemental O2 had been sitting and waiting for two hours and was down to her last 30min of O2 (which we needed to get home). Literally laughed in my face and said “we don’t cut” with all the air of arrogance a petulant teen could muster. Additionally, there is no supplemental O2 on site for patients so good luck with that two hour wait. Much more to list...
