Dr. Peter J Hulick

I'm really surprised with these bad reviews. I have had nothing but good experiences with all my interactions with everyone from Dr. Hulick's office. They have been forthright making sure I won't be surprised with an unexpected bill for my genetic testing. The staff are always professional and polite. And Dr. Hulick is great, he is always on time for my appointments and never rushes me. He cares about my well being and is willing to work with me at trying to figure out my complex health issues. Very humble and down to earth, a rare trait for doctors nowadays. I would highly recommend this office.

Very disappointed with this office. If you are in need of this sort of expertise or consultation I would strongly suggest you seek another option. Our frustrations were as follows: -Long, drawn out conversations with assistants that take hours to work through a very very minimal amount of content. Should have taken minutes. Looking for an excuse to justify exorbitant billing. -The office will not answer even the simplest, administrative or procedural question via email. You must set up an appointment so that they can bill more. -This office should have referred us to a specialist when our conversations took a turn in a specific direction, but instead used it as an excuse to set up more appointments, more billing. I feel this reality was intentionally obscured. -This office billed both my wife's insurance and my insurance separately for the same conversation.

The Dr was fine, but DO NOT trust that they will obtain a preauthorization prior to sending the test out. I asked REPEATEDLY if they could run the preauthorization and was told "our outside lab has to do that, but can't unless you get the blood draw first, don't worry, the most it will cost is $250." Well... I did get billed for $250, which would be fine IF they ran the preauthorization... nope, insurance said no one ever even tried. Either this place, or Invitae is the issue. Dr. Peter Hulick and his team are very knowledgeable and informative. Dr. Hulick took his time to answer all of my questions, and he made sure I properly understood my diagnosis. I enjoyed talking with him and his guidance will help me make better life choices to be healthier. I highly recommend this doctor and his team.

He and his team were very thorough, caring, and took time to answer all of my concerns and questions. He kindly offered to help with my insurance, refer me to a physiatrist, and correspond with my physical therapist if needed.

i thought he, and his genetic counselor, were pretty good. he gave me plenty of time and was very pleasant. yes, the wait time to get appt is long, as it is with all geneticists; there are not many out there. only thing i found a bit sub-par was his administering and evaluating a proper beighton score (for ehlers danlos). for me, unlike other posters here, they DID make sure my insurance covered the costly testing before they ran it. i appreciate that. overall, i had a good experience with him

Dr. Peter Hulick is very good at explaining diagnosis criteria for your condition and what can be done about it. He is very polite and explain the test and how it’s done before he performs it on you.

stay away from this doctor and his team.

when setting up an appointment with this doctor, you are told that next appiontment is available in few months. you wait a few months and go to your appointment, then you are told that test results will take a few more months to come back. you wait and then you are told that the order placed was mislabeled and you need to come in to redo the blood draw. you redo test and wait to get results then you find out that the wrong test was orderdered and it will be fixed but that will take another month or so. you check the mail to find out that you were hit with thousands of dollars in bills from labs and from his office. not only this doctor will waste your time and bills you generously, but he is clueless about the medical process and his staff as clueless as him. stay away. when setting up an appointment with this doctor, you are told that next appiontment is available in few months. you wait a few months and go to your appointment, then you are told that test results will take a few more months to come back. … More

be aware of this doctor and his staff. they will waste hours of your time in unneccessary appointments in order to collect insurance money.

Dr Hulick really took his time listening to all my concerns and answering all my questions. His staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable too. I wish there were more doctors like him.
