Mr. Peter K. Kim

After waiting months for the appointment for my mother, all he did is your typical memory test where he asks you to remember 5 words, then you need to answer some trivial questions and then repeat the 5 words. Of course my mother failed and his diagnosis was Alzheimer for dementia cause "that's your most common cause". That's it, no blood tests, nothing else. I had to point him to the previous CT scan test that showed that she had strokes, swollen brain ventricles, blood tests and ask a ton of questions because the condition is most probably caused by strokes. Any doctor and any person with logic would have figured that out if they cared. He put an obviously incorrect diagnostic. I don't know how he became a neurologist.

Great Doctor! Courteous staff. Everything was done professionally and the best part... when I got there the appointment was taken on time. Doctor also took time to explain what he was performing and the reason these tests were ordered. I would recommend Dr. Peter Kim to all my family and friends. He is outstanding! Thank you Dr. Kim!

The staff was very friendly. I was a new patient looking for a good fit. My original Dr. passed away and I went to another neurologist and was not happy with that man at all. We chatted as to why I was there. I was looking for a dr who could manage my seizure issue and meds. He asked questions, skimmed through my old file. Talked about our action plan. Dr Kim was attentive and his friendly demeanor made visits much more comfortable. Dr Kim was the first doctor that actually listened to my symptoms and took me seriously; he was also the first doctor to get my diagnosis right. The staff are all very nice and professional, I can't recommend this office enough.

My experience with Dr. Kim was very positive and I think he is a wonderful neurologist. He called me when results were in for the MRI's that needed to be done. He was very reassuring in the fact that it was ok and would like to follow up to explain them. His staff is just as wonderful and kind. He was very thorough with me and listen to my concerns. I am so glad I was referred to him by my doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Peter Kim.

IF YOU SUFFER FROM MIGRAINE OR CHRONIC MIGRAINE I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. PETER KIM! I went to see Dr. Kim for chronic migraine as I was in horrendous amounts of pain lasting days on end & very close to losing my job which he didn't seem the least bit interested in hearing about my condition, my symptoms OR looking at my chart of attacks I brought with me. I wanted to discuss my condition & how to manage it. It was new to me and very scary. He was unprofessional & has a lack of respect & manners towards patients. He made me feel extremely awkward right from the start. He saw me for literally 5 min ( i am not joking- I timed it on my phone) and said " i don't know why you're seeing me for migraine attacks...I don't deal with it. Go see a UCLA Dr." !!? I was shocked to hear this after taking my $50 copay & the fact he IS a neurologist & I was referred to him by a Dr who is a friend of mine. His receptionist even confirmed at the time of my scheduling he indeed DOES handle migraine. Bottomline: I wish I never went to him!!!! When I kindly mentioned that I could have been told that on the phone by your receptionist he gave out a big "ughhhhh!" rolled his eyes immaturely and stomped off to a closet to hand me ONE Relpax sample. He did the nerve test only because I questioned this lack of care in doing nothing which he completely rushed through in less than 2 min just to fill his pockets because I know for a fact that wasn't a proper nerve test he did!! This visit was a waste of time and money, in the end he billed my insurance $300+ for this nonsense. I felt dismissed, and treated as a nuisance. IF YOU HAVE MIGRAINE ISSUES I SERIOUSLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this dr at all. I ended up going to the UCLA Neurology center (next building over) thinking that might be a respectful place to go and that was an even bigger mistake of even more apathetic, unprofessionals!!!!! I do not recommend either him or UCLA the place he recommended. Please save your sanity for someone who will treat you & your condition with the attention it deserves. Both the doctor and his staff were curteous, friendly, and professional. The doctor was genuinely interested in what I had to say and took the time to clearly explain my test results and answer all my questions.

This Doctor didn't even read MRI Results until I got there, he then just skims them and says "it's nothing serious". He calls me later that day after really reading it, says to come back and that he made a mistake. Turns out I had a stroke! He then tells me it's very unusual for my age, and to go see another Neurologist. What should I do in the meantime? His answer "I don't know". Can you refer me to someone that can help? His answer "no, look it up online" Most disinterested Doc ever!!!!!!!!!!

I found Dr Kim to be shy. He did however let me know step by step what he was doing. I had the electricity test on my feet/legs. It was uncomfortable but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. He was able to let me know the results immediately. By the way....I am a senior

My Mom's visit to Dr Kim today was a total waste of her time and mine. All he did was push medicine at her even though he was aware she cannot take any medicines due to their reactions on her. He kept looking at her and not talking like he was waiting for her to make her own diagnosis. He was weak, he was not friendly, he did not introduce himself, or address my Mom by her name he just sat there He finally just pawned her off by asking her to see another pain management doctor which gets him off the hook. He has no compassion for seniors! Please find another doctor if you need to see a Neurologist this one is a huge dud. The girl at the front desk made so many mistakes it was scary! Takes time to find out what the trouble may be and suggest options, even if it's not something that as a neurologist he can help you with directly.

Friendly staff, smooth operation, nice décor, the TV in the office is great. Dr. Kim is very interested in you understanding your medical issue and will take the necessary time to make sure you do understand. He will refer you another doctor if he cannot resolve your medical issue.
