Excellent results on the first eye. Easy surgery and recovery. Details are great and colors are more vivid.

Visit was for annual exam including routine optometric vision exam and Diabetic Retinopathy Exam. Facility is well staffed, organized with the latest diagnostic equipment. I experienced very short wait times between procedures and was kept well informed as to what each test was for.

Dr. Polack did an excellent job with my cataract surgery, considering the damage to my corneas from RK surgery 40 years ago. My eyesight is better than I could have hoped and I had no issues at all. Great doctor!

This practice is huge. As a first time patient, I felt a bit invisible when I briefly met Dr. Polak. He seemed to be just going through the motions. Next patient please. He had to be reminded of his findings by his assistant when he gave me a good but fast explanation of my conditions. I am, however, pleased with his staff and his medical expertise regarding diagnosis and treatment of my eye conditions, especially compared to a local ophthalmologist I saw recently. I can do with feeling like patient # 0913567 if I get competent care, and I feel that is the case with this doctor.

Great doctor and fantastic personnel and services!

Dr. Polack removed my sunspots (one on each eye) years ago. Just went for yearly check up and Dr. Polack said he can't even tell I had the spots, which he removed and did grafting on both eyes. KUDOS and THANKS to Dr. Polack and his team!!

Very professional with excellent communication skills.

When first considering cataract surgery I was more than a little apprehensive about having anyone mess with my eyes. However the more people I talked to about it the more I was assured that it was a “piece of cake” procedure and that I would be so happy with the difference in my vision. I have now had both eyes done and for the first time in my life I have 20/20 vision and for the first time in years my vision is crystal clear, colors are more vibrant, and I am way more comfortable driving at night. I opted to have the basic surgery so I still need glasses for reading, but it is amazing to not need them at all for distance. I feel like Dr. Polack’s surgical gift provided me with my own mini-miracle and I feel like he went above and beyond, especially when he called me at home on the evening of each surgery to check on me. The surgery and recovery were indeed fast and painless; I can honestly say I had my cake and ate too!

Dr. Polack is impossible to beat! He completed my second cataract surgery with multi-focal lens replacement just one week ago, now the world is crystal clear to me once again!! I no longer need glasses at all! All vision increments, be it great distance, my computer screen or Kindle, are dialed in! Funny thing is, I have to stop myself from attempting to put glasses on when I get up or take them off when pulling on or off a T-shirt!! Peter Polack rocks!! PS....all of the staff at Ocala Eye are great as well! Seeing is believing!

great visit

I went to see Dr. Polack for a full eye exam as well as a Lasik consultation. He was very professional and personable, and really honest with me about how I may not be a good Lasik candidate at the moment if my prescription shows evidence of consistent change over the years, and may want to wait until I'm around 25 or so until my prescription is stable (I'm 23 yo right now, and my numbers shows some evidence of change so we ran some additional tests). He also went the extra mile and made sure that I got all the tests that I needed done before leaving today so that I wouldn't need to return for something small. He said he would give me a call to discuss my candidacy for Lasik. All office staff members were incredibly professional, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable--they were also polite and apologetic when delays occurred due to the office being very busy. The office was clean and all were well-groomed. I would recommend this office/physician (although I have not undergone any procedures with Dr. Polack yet, but will update if I do). Ocala Eye was extremely organized and efficient with regard to appointment scheduling, testing and follow up during multiple office visits prior to and following cataract surgery. Dr Polack and staff helped me determine the proper lens to replace my defective lenses based on their tests and evaluation. Dr Polack performed the surgery very quickly with no pain or discomfort, whatsoever. I have complete confidence in Dr Polack and Ocala Eye and would encourage anyone with vision problems to make an appointment and request Dr Peter Polack, if surgery is required. Two weeks have passed since surgery was completed - I have 20 -20 vision with colors and clarity I have NOT had for the past 50 years. I recently drove over 2,500 miles on a trip - (35 hours driving time) - mostly in heavy rain night and day. I did not use corrective lenses, although I wore non-prescription sun glasses during sunny periods. I could not have attempted this trip without the great work of Dr Polack and Ocala Eye.

Thanks to Dr. Polack and his staff I went from being legally blind (unaided) to having 20/20 vision (unaided). What a gift! Dr. Polack and his staff were efficient and professional. The cataract procedure was pain free with a minimum of down time.

Dr. Polack successfully performed YAG laser surgery on both of my eyes two weeks ago. My eyesight issues have been remedied with this quick laser surgery at Ocala Eye's surgical center in Ocala. I love Dr. Polock! I love my 20/25 eyes. In March 2021, he masterfully performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. My dominant eyes was so clouded that I couldn’t read the letters on a page. That same eye can now clearly read the date on a Lincoln penny.....without glasses. Prior to surgery I required glasses for driving and a separate pair for reading. The downside? I have to get a new driver’s license! Would I do it again? Absolutely! Last week I accompanied a friend to his scheduled cataract surgery. We shared many hours discussing our concerns. I had a great experience

I had gone to Lens Crafters where they misdiagnosed my cataracts. Dr. Pollack and his team were very thorough and found that I had significant cataracts that needed. attention. I had my surgery and am very pleased with the results.

Surgery was quick and painless. Everything went smoothly and all questions were answered. I ride endurance horses and am happy to have 20/20 vision back again, with no need of glasses or contacts.

Dr. Polack gave me back vision by properly diagnosing and operating on my eye. I went from blurred to 20/15 vision after cataract surgery. Flying small and fast remote controlled model aircraft is now possible again for me after cataract surgery by Dr. Polack and I publicaly thank him for his gift to me.

Always friendly and never an extreme wait . My vision is better than it has ever been.

Safe, knowledgeable and flexible! Inwore glasses/contacts for 22 years before PRK. My eye sight was legally blind and now I have 20/15 a month after surgery. Dr. Polack considered my eye health and lifestyle when recommending PRK over LASIK during my evaluation. He provided me education about this procedure and how it suited my needs better. My favorite being able to be very active! It was worth the healing time and discomfort and I would do it over again ten fold. The actual procedure was almost completely painless and immediately after the refraction I saw much clearer!! I did experience some discomfort on the second day in which Dr. Polack and his staff addressed immediately with patience, sensitivity and met me at the office on a weekend! Loved the nursing staff at the surgical center. Worst part of healing process was remembering the different eye drops. I took a week off from work due to infection risk and took 4 days off from the gym. Drove myself to his office on the third day. I have been very happy with Dr. Polack and Ocala Eye. Professional staff who answered all my questions. Following my PRK procedure I was experiencing a pretty good amount of pain and Dr. Polack met me on his day off the help on any way that he could. I would recommend Ocala Eye and Dr. Polack to anyone thinking about getting PRK/LASIK.

I received both Lasik and PRK from Dr. Polack. Throughout the entire experience, Dr. Polack and the rest of the Ocala Eye staff were fantastic. I have visited offices in both Ocala and The Villages, as well as the surgery center in Ocala, and was consistently pleased with the service at all locations. Dr. Polack himself was great. He did an outstanding job on the procedure, as I now have 20/20 vision, and at each subsequent visit he kept me informed on what was happening and the progress I was making in ways that were easy to understand. The Villages location is the office I have visited the most, and the staff is wonderful. There was not a single time I visited the I did not feel welcome and receive stellar service.
