Outstanding, Dr Sharkey showed a lot emphaty and was very concern with other issues that I have. He examined my neck MRI and refered me to another colleague to evaluate my neck condition.

Dr Sharky was very personable and explained the procedure so that I felt comfortable with the upcoming surgery . He performed hip Replacement on my husband a year and a half ago snd he is doing great !

Dr Sharkey truly cares about his patients. I had bilateral knee replacement in September 2021; I just had my second follow up appointment. Dr Sharkey answered all my questions. I never felt like he was rushing me. I appreciated that. I would highly recommend Dr Sharkey!!!

I had dr. Sharkey 17 years ago for a right hip replacement and I'm still going strong

Once I met with Dr. Sharkey for consultation for a knee replacement, I knew that I had picked the absolute best surgeon to do my surgery. I found him kind, caring, to the point but most of all his sincerity...I left feeling that he genuinely cared about me. That feeling continued with everyone I met involved from his team. The hospital staff and care provided was outstanding. Someone constantly checked on my well being and my surgery was a complete success. My therapist told me I was the poster child for knee replacements. Dr. Sharkey's expertise gave me abetter quality of life and I cannot possibly say enough good about Dr. Sharkey. I would highly recommend him and have done so to anyone considering this surgery. Being a nurse myself, I would say he is without a doubt one of the best physicians I have ever encountered and had the privilege of his care.

Nice time

Had my hip replaced in 2002 and just had double knee surgery Feb 2022 all done by Dr. Sharkey. Excellent experiences all around best surgeon there is.

Dr. Peter Sharkey, from the Rothman Institute, is the BEST surgeon! He replaced both of my knees (2017 & 2021) & I have never felt stronger. I’m able to teach 12 fitness classes a week & hike two times a day. I owe it all to Dr. Sharkey!

Dr. Sharkey was my only choice for the surgeon to replace my knee. He had completed a couple of surgeries for my wife in the past, with excellent results. So when it came time for me he was the choice. His professionalism is top notch and the results were fantastic. No issues. Great recovery!

Dr. Sharky is the Best, perform my first hip replacement (Left) in May 2010 and will be performing my right hip Feb 2 2022. His team is very caring even they Covid. God Bless and l pray for safety.

Dr. Sharkey and his excellent team of administration and nurses took great care of me while I was being considered for knee replacement surgery. After checking-in at the front desk - I was escorted into the patient room within 10 minutes for each of my 3 appointments with Rothman Orthopedics. During my 3rd visit, the nurse couldn’t download my MRI slides from the CD that I provided for her…but, without a hitch, she was able to quickly retrieve my slides from ‘Riddle MRI’ and Dr. Sharkey reviewed them immediately as soon as they were made available! Upon reviewing my MRI slides - Dr. Sharkey determined that a knee replacement surgery was my best and only option to help improve my ‘quality of life’. Yes, I would definitely recommend Doctor Sharkey for knee and hip replacement... and I have recently done so. In my opinion he is by far the best in his field. I received amazing professional care during my total hip replacement. I am healing splendidly and walk unassisted after just 6 weeks. Dr.. Saw Dr. Sharkey for knee pain in April 2021. At that time he suggested non surgical options of injections. Liked that he did not want to just jump in to surgery. Injections held off the pain for several months. Unfortunately lots of arthritis in the knee and wearing away to bone on bone, next option knee replacement. Dr. Sharkey listened to my pain issues and fully explained the procedure. As he had previously done my hip replacement in 2019, I had complete confidence in Dr. Sharkey. He is very professional, compassionate and a good listener. Would definitely recommend Dr. Sharkey.

Dr. Sharkey takes the time to listen to you problem and then explains your options. Get caring "Bedside Manor". I drive up from Delaware to come to Rothman. It's that good!

I am so thankful to Rothman Institute with both Dr Sharkey this past February for a full left hip replacement and Dr Kurd in 2018 for a lumbar fusion. I am able to now walk 3-5 miles. Prior to both surgeries I could barely walk to my car in the driveway with a walker. I also went off the RX Vicodin since surgery in2018 by Dr Kurd. I had been on that Rx since 1996 after an unsuccessful cervical fusion here in Delaware from a bad fall. I was too scared to go to any surgeon after so many years of therapies and chiropractic care. Today, life is different and I lost weight and have my diabetes under control. I cannot be more grateful to have my new life and clarity. These two doctors and Rothman Institute have been a God send. My husband had both his knees replaced in 2002 and 2004. He is the greatest surgeon and this Dr gives you your undivided attention. My husband has never had any trouble with his knees. He fell in 2010 so we went back to him. At that time only bruising was noticed on the xrays. He is having discomfort now in 2021 so we went back to him. We live in the Hershey area but still came back to him. He is still wonderful and will fix his knee for him. I highly recommend him. We trust him and he is so personable. Dr Sharkey replaced both my hips, he is one of finest people I have ever known in my life. Plenty of info, never rushed. I had a question before surgery he came right to my side. Dr. Sharkey is the BEST! I was back to work in 2 weeks! My rehab was to walk and I did. Within 4-6 weeks I was not dependent upon a walker or cane. I feel like a new person. Back walking on our Aston trail again 3 to 5 times a week and walking 2 to 5 miles each time! God bless Dr Sharkey.

If you're considering hip surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Sharkey. I had a bilateral hip replacement in June 2020 (46 yrs. old), and i feel ike a completely different person.
