Dr. Peter T.H. Wang

My nine year old son had surgery yesterday by Dr. Wang, for birthmark removal. I want to leave a review because I had been worried about prior reviews that his bedside manner wasn't good and that he didn't answer questions. I talked to my referring dermatologist about the negative reviews and she said "he comes highly recommended and his work is impeccable." That gave me the confidence to go through with the surgery and I am so glad I did. Our consultation went wonderfully. He spent all the time I needed and answered all questions without making me feel rushed. On the day of surgery, same positive experience (spent time with us before & after). We also had to call him last night with a concern about a little spot of blood on the bandage. He didn't make me feel bad at all for having to call me back at 9 pm, and was very pleasant and put my mind at ease that the blood was normal. So to summarize, I have been extremely pleased with his bedside manner. Hope this helps with doubts.

Was very unhappy with how after a procedure on my nose that wasn't supposed to change my appearance, created a new insecurity. I had to book the appointment myself because they hadn't reached SINCE the procedure before corona. When I was telling him about my problems I felt like I wasn't being heard. He kept laughing when I tried to explain why I was upset and was just overall very dismissive of my concerns and feelings. very unprofessional wouldn't recommend or want to go back.

Very Unprofessional visit w/Dr. Wang. I had some questions on the diagnosis and needed medical advice or opinions. He sent me to his secretary instead "U can ask Linda, she has a lot of cards on her desk" Due to over-bookings my NB had to be on ground (car seat). only 5 chairs in waiting area. An older woman filled my sons seat. That raised concern A NB, 2 toddlers 3 sets of parents & 1 Woman to? Personally it seems inappropriate to schedule adults when toddlers who need to be seen are in the same waiting area. Most parents follow strict rules. safety measures to avoid COVID19. The much older woman was A patients too. Safety protocols weren't followed. 4 appts in the waiting area. Plus 1 waiting 4 A follow-up & 1 checking in then 1 trying to get through to the exit. That violates the LAWS and RULES in effect for BEXAR county. The area was very small about. This DR/ OFFICE has NO CONCERN for the safety or WELL-BEING of children. The carpet was unsanitary. The odor was verypenetrated

DO NOT even consider Dr. Wang!We moved from CA where we had an excellent craniofacial team. My teen, who'd had multiple staged surgeries since infancy,needed a delicate surgery cutting through the bone of the upper jaw and would need a halo bolted into his skull for immobilization.The halo was removed after 3 mo, in his office with bare hands!My son's jaw moved freely side to side & up & down since the surgery until today!New doc in DFW had to replace the upper jaw,as Wang crumbled it into bits!

Wang is far too brief. Seems annoyed by too many questions. The charge for a consultation (1.5 hour wait, 5 min visit) was more than any specialist ever! Totally ridiculous! He told us in front of my daughter (age 8) that his second surgery will likely pull her nose over and damage her nerves so she won't be able to smile on left side of face! I was furious! He should've never said that in front of her. Poor bedside manner. Going to consult with highly rated surgeon due to this callused approach

I took my daughter for a consultation. Dr Wang was nice enough although seemed to become a bit dismissive when I continued to ask questions- but fair enough - maybe I was getting repetitive but I needed reassurance if I was going to choose him to operate on my child. I was willing to look past that until I got the bill. The fee they charged for a consultation was exorbitant. My advice if you plan to schedule a consultation, be sure to ask the total cost and check with your insurance provider.

First, we waited 3 hours to see him. 2 year old daughter was born with facial nerve palsy. Next, the office is dirty. Third, although we were the last patient, in the office at 3:30, he spent 5 minutes with us saying that it wasn't that bad and she can live with it. Absolutely appalled as there are solutions for this and my daughter is now scheduled for reconstructive surgery elsewhere by a caring surgeon. I think he was intimidated by the procedure and didn't have the skillset, he was RUDE.

Dr.Peter Wang has a very professional way of approaching you and making you very comfortable. He, will then explain to you how the surgery will be done in his own words. Dr.Peter Wang will do what he thinks is right for you and not what you think is right for you..!!!! I understand there are limitations, but my surgery experience was nothing at all what I expected. : ( They are under staff and had a bad very experienced with one of the main secretary. Dr.Peter Wang will not meet your expectati
