Dr. Philip Hyungjin Chang

When I was in the burn icu at Cornell Dr Chang was my doctor and was always nice to me and made sure that I was given the right medications.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Chang. He made me feel very comfortable in his care. He spent a lot of time answering questions and discussing my options. He also asked pertinent questions regarding my post operative care. He really cares and is a true physician.

Dr. Chang was very thorough with communicating to me about my daughter’s process and recovery process. I appreciate his careful concern throughout this unexpected situation.

I saw Dr Chang immediately after I burned myself In the walk in ER and for a follow up visit . From the moment he came over to me I felt confident and comfortable and grateful that he was my Dr. As well as feeling the same about his staff It’s scary to get burned by steam pouring water for tea and he was reassuring

Dr. Chang and his staff are uniformly excellent. They are fabulous diagnosticians who diagnosed my condition within minutes, sent me for tests to pinpoint the extent of it and took care of it expeditiously, thoroughly and compassionately. Not to mention that the office appointments actually run on time. I would recommend them to anyone who has a burn or wound issue!

I am a 3rd degree burns patient. Dr. Philip Chang accepted me after I was terribly skin grafting failure with serious infection from Nassau Hospital. I have been under Dr. Philip Chang’s and his wonderful team care in the past 15 months with over 6 successful surgeries and treatments. He is the best doctor I ever met with professionalism, kindness caring and trustworthy. He always takes extra miles and care as a surgeon. He saved my life and helping me restore my normal life. I know I can’t find any better doctor like him. He is the best! Highly recommend him. Also highly recommend Weill Cornell medical Center. They have a great management system and patient relationships services. I think that is why it has been recognized as the best hospital in New York. Very appreciated!

Dr. Chang is easily the best physician I have ever had, no only in his approach to medicine but also in his compassionate "bedside manner." Throughout my time in the Burn ICU and through the outpatient clinic, Dr. Chang went far above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I received optimal care and that my pain was well managed. He was attentive and available whenever I had a question or needed care for my burns. Having a burn accident was probably the most painful and difficult experience I have had, Dr. Chang and the staff at NYP made the worst thing someone could go through into a positive experience. While I would never recommend going through a burn accident, but for anyone who suffers such an accident I wouldn't recommend going anywhere but NYP and having Dr. Chang as your surgeon. Thank you Dr. Chang, I wish there were more in the medical field like you!
