Dr. Philip M Montefalco

My 18 year old son had his wisdom teeth out with Dr. Montefalco. He had minimal pain and swelling. Dr. Montefalco is an excellent surgeon and his bedside manner is amazing. He is so kind and caring. He even called to check on him that evening. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

First experience was 20 years ago, went great. The receptionist then knew how to treat people correctly. Not so much this time. Completely rude and disrespectful. I would rather pay double somewhere else and not be treated that way. This is the type of behavior that hurts businesses. Not to mention the Atheist bashing God and religion while they helped every person that walked through the door except for me. Still have a tooth killing me and have to take off work again and do this all over. Also have to go back to my dentist to get a new referral for an oral surgeon that is customer oriented and does not treat patients badly. If I could give zero or negative stars I would. I recently needed 4 implants and was referred to Dr. Philip Montefalco. He explained the process and planning so it was easy to understand. He took very good care of making sure I was at ease. I am totally satisfied and happy with the implants, he did an amazing job. His professionalism is very much appreciated and the follow up care was amazing. Dr. Montefalco is outstanding!!! I had surgery a while back. Yes, it does take a while to get an appointment - it is worth it! I had a SEVERE case of sleep apnea and needed to have both jaws moved (a Mandibular Osteotomy) to open my airway. (If I did not have surgery - I would be dead today. My blood-oxygen levels were dropping to critical levels while sleeping) The surgery was performed with Dr. Tod Huntley and took all day. Dr. Montefalco will listen to his patients and answer questions. If you are not forthright in opening up a conversation (he is busy) he will move on to his next patient. If you start a conversation - he will take as much time as necessary to make you feel comfortable about the procedures he is going to perform. His follow-up is second to none. I wish all doctors could have the education and experience, along with the compassion he afforded me. I will be forever thankful for what he did for me.

Terrible experience. I was given a referral to Dr Montefalco for two dental implants and scheduled an appointment for a consultation. Upon arrival they didn’t even have my x rays or records from my dentist that I confirmed had be forwarded to his office. After new x rays were taken and my examination was complete we discussed a treatment plan. I would have one implant completed before January and the other after January for insurance purposes. As I exited, I asked him if I should stop at the front desk to schedule an appointment for my next procedure. He replied no, that a scheduler would be contacting me. Three weeks went by with nobody ever contacting me. I phoned the office numerous times with no answer and left multiple messages. Finally, about a week later I received a letter from Dr Montefalco stating that he had decided that I wasn’t a good candidate for implants and he wouldn’t be able to offer me treatment. What a waste of time and money. This should have been explained at my initial consultation. I now do not have the time available to obtain a new doctor that can perform any procedures before January. It appears most of Dr Montefalco’s favorable reviews are for the removal of wisdom teeth. I would seek treatment elsewhere for implants. I am now a patient of Dr Michael Edwards who is amazing doctor and a true professional. Terrible experience. If you are in need of dental work beyond what a general Dentist can do,, then you are going to want to see Dr. Montefalco,DDS. I have seen Dr. Montefalco a few times. Each time I have had my appointment it all begins with the office staff.They always make you feel welcome to be there. While they are a busy practice they always treat you with respect and make you feel like you are their only concern. They treat you like you would want to be treated. They understand you have concerns and fears. They explain everything so that you do not feel uncomfortable about your procedure. His assistant helped us get the exrays done. Then took us back to the room. The rooms are very quiet and comfortable. We talked a bit while she prepared for the procedure. Dr. Montefalco came in and very gently gave me the shot to numb the area. It took longer for the shot to take effect than the procedure itself. The procedure was quick and painless. There were no complications or problems. So I stayed a few in the chair as I get lightheaded sometimes. They made sure I was okay, and then we went to leave. Dr.Montefalco and his entire staff are beyond a 5 star rating to me. They are great at what they do. I have several friends that see him and they also feel the same. So if you need a mayofacial dentist...You will be so pleased with your decision to see Dr. Montefalco. They are simply the best.. My son had all 4 of his 3rd molars removed yesterday, and said he is only a little sore today! Dr Montefalco and his team are amazing! Definitely the best around!

I just had my surgery yesterday with Dr. Montefalco and it was extremely painless!!!! From the beginning to the end i did not had any pain! I am very very pleased and amazed with the entire process!! I had my first ever oral surgery here and it went AMAZING! All wisdom teeth removed and I didn’t even feel like it happened by the end of the night! Feel great and it went very smooth! They are super kind and assure that you have the best experience!

I have had three #positive experiences with this practice overall. Two successful surgeries with this MD specifically. Both kids had impacted wisdom teeth, but they took good care of my kiddos. They do not want the person who is transporting to leave the premises, however, they will be happy to call you from your car where you are instructed to drive to the side exit. You then go in, assist them out to the car and away you go! They move pretty fast. I was surprised how quickly he was done and his recovery is going great. I'm very disappointed I've been waiting a very long time to get my mouth worked on I finally found a a dentist office that's willing to do it and no matter how hard I flex my schedule they will not work with me so they canceled me out their system because this is the second appointment I missed but not technically missed the first appointment should have been excused because of a clearance I need it from my heart doctor now today the 28th they are canceling me out because I did not have my driver with me because of the timing is right now which is almost 4:00 my driver had to pick up his kids but he was getting dropped back off to me the lady at the front desk new of this and refused to work with me I did pay cash to get my X-ray done and now they want service me!!! Dr Monefalco is an amazing surgeon, Awesome staff.

Great experience. Grateful for skilled professionals. It's taken me alot of pain, discomfort and financial expenses to realize every dental professional is NOT the same. Experience goes a long way. I would highly recommend Dr. Montefalco and his office to my family and friends.

He's empathetic, efficient and totally professional in his approach to the job. Getting a tooth extracted is a fairly violent thing to happen to oneself. However, Dr. Montefalco makes you feel like you're finally getting rid of a deadbeat, worthless relative you've lived with your whole life rather than your tooth.

Dr. Montefalco provided excellent dental care with compassion and the patient's comfort foremost. The procedure was performed quickly and with no pain. Dr. Montefalco even called me himself on a Sunday to check on my post operative status. How many dental professionals would do that.. I would MOST DEFINITELY return to Dr. Montefalco for any future dental oral surgery needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Montefalco

I had five implants and one extraction in one day. They were very professional but also friendly and made me feel secure that everything was being done for my benefit. Four days later Dr. Montefalco called me personally to check on my recovery and to see if I had any problems or questions. I appreciate this

The entire staff were kind, caring and very professional. They took time to explain about our insurance, time needed for my extractions and helped me relax before beginning. The office staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Dr. Montefalco immediately diagnosed my problem and presented a course of action. He explained in detail what might or might not happen depending on what he found during surgery, Listened carefully to my concerns and addressed them. The surgery ended up being less invasive than first thought and I went home in minimal pain. Dr. Montefalco followed up, via phone, a couple of days later regarding my condition. I only wish all my medical and dental experiences were this easy.

I was referred to him by my regular dentist for help in choosing best procedure to give me back a full set of teeth due to many extractions over the years. All options for me were explained and a plan laid out. On Jan. 9th. 2020 I had surgery and was fitted with my temporary set of implant Dentures. No complications and a good recovery so far 2 weeks into Post-Op , i am very happy with the results and my friends and family say I look great and 20 years younger. Iv’e already referred 3 friends to Dr. Phil for further consultation.

I went through an extended treatment of removing the remaining upper teeth that I had along with a bridge that included several of my upper teeth. He did x-rays to make sure that his plan was right before doing any surgery. During the extractions and placement of the implants he took care to make sure that I was comfortable and did not experience any pain. His assistants were always with me to make sure that I was doing ok . I would recommend this practice to anyone who is contemplating implants.

Dr was very personable and professional.

Took the time to explain in detail everything that was going to occur. He follows up every visit with a personal phone call within two days of the procedure. Big bonus: flowers from the office sent to my home. Exceptional.

Dr Montefalco and his staff are the kindest, most knowledgeable oral surgery practice around. He took out all 3 of my children's wisdom teeth and performed orthognathic surgery on our oldest. You won't find a better Dr!

He surgically removed my wisdom teeth in 2012 glad i got it all over with when i was younger

He has helped us so many times! I highly recommend him!

Come to this office you want to wait 20+ minutes past your appointment time for every visit. I can't wait to get this implant over with and never come back here.

I had 4 teeth extracted on Wednesday 5/24/17 with IV sedation. I've never met a more friendly, comforting and professional staff anywhere! I was in and out in about an hour. I would highly recommend Dr Montefalco to anyone! ~Kristi Bryant

My daughter had realignment involving both both jaws. She received great care throughout all preparation preoperatively such as consultation and education and postoperatively

In case anyone is reading this who is searching for an oral surgeon. I can't praise Dr. Phillip Montefalco enough! I had never had any sort of surgery before, never had anesthesia, and never even had a stitch. Also, I'm very OCD about my teeth. So needless to say, i was petrified about the whole ordeal. He even prescribed me three Valiums to take prior to coming in to calm my nerves. I was so freaked out and worked up, the Valiums did nothing to phase me. ???????? I only had 3 wisdom teeth. The forth one never formed. All 3 of mine were impacted though and the one that formed on the bottom had the roots grow all the down and around the nerve. I had a good chance of nerve damage causing loss of feeling and sensitivity resulting in getting it removed, but the damagae it would cause to my other teeth by keeping it outweighed the risk. Surgery went smooth and fantastic. No nerve damage and i can honestly say the top two teeth that were removed caused me no pain postoperation even though they were impacted. The one on the bottom caused me some discomfort but was very well managed with pain medication. It swelled up huuuuge though. But he had to cut all the way down to my jaw bone in order to remove it, so that is to be expected. The swelling was the main contributing factor the the discomfort. One week after my surgery and I was good to go! :) In case anyone is reading this who is searching for an oral surgeon. I can't praise Dr. Phillip Montefalco enough!
